I heard positive things about this coffee shop and wanted to see for myself if it was worth it. The short answer is yes! The location is on the east side, but we were able to find some street parking because we went early and there were metered parking spots nearby. The aesthetic of the place is modern and clean. I like the gold decor accents. It's a nice place to go and study or work as well. They have a variety of sweets in their display case. They even had Dubai chocolate that were Labubu shaped!! So creative! We got the cinnamon toast latte and banana matcha. Both were delicious, more on the sweet side, which I don't mind. They also have those trendy fruit mousses I've been seeing on social media. We decided to share one because it is a little pricey (12 bucks for one), but I know it is intricate to make. Date of visit: July 5, 2026 After visiting the location in Greenfield, I was excited to visit this location that is much closer to home. Upon entry, I was surprised at how much smaller it is, but reminded myself that space is at a premium on the east side and as such, it wouldn't be as expansive as the southern location. Staff was nice-ish. The young lady at the counter smiled at us but let us look over the large illuminated menu for several minutes before telling us that they were all out of crepes and waffles. At 9 a.m. That didn't leave us with a ton of options, and honestly, if nothing on that menu is available, why would you leave it on and plugged in, wasting energy and disappointing your customers. We went with a Biscoff cinnamon roll and it was just okay. The bottom was a bit dry and it would have been much better had it been warmed, but that was not an option provided to us, unfortunately. However my Salted Caramel Latte was excellent, as was the free one they brought me (I ordered a hot but they first made a cold, so win for me! The chairs was comfortable enough for us to spend a couple hours in and while I was disappointed in the options available to me that day, would come back on a day where waffles were in the mix! read more

I've meant to visit this coffee shop since it opened about a year ago (maybe?). I only live a few blocks away which is why I wonder about myself. Thrilled to finally visit! I love coffee but I'm not familiar with much coffee wise American coffee. So many options and all tempting to try! I'm not really a fan of sweet drinks, so I have a lovely cold brew with cardamom and honey. I mentioned this to this to the barista who was very kind and suggested few options. Love Haraz. The shaken espresso is a fantastic iced drink on a hot day -- it tastes strongly of coffee plus the magically spiced Haraz syrup, which tastes like a combination of saffron, cinnamon, and cardamom and probably some other special ingredients. Prices are a little high, but I don't know of another spot with such delicious and unique Yemeni coffee drinks, teas, and desserts. Can I just say that if Haraz existed here when I attended UWM I would have frequented this coffee house! What a delightful, and needed, addition to the upper east side. I'm definitely a fan of Yemeni coffee, so was looking forward to coming here. I find it to be quite bold, and the way it's often served is really smooth. The menu here is vast with plenty of options, so if you're new to Yemeni drinks it could be worth asking for recommendations. I went with the pistachio latte, because I love all things pistachio and they just do it right! It was so delicious. My friend got an Aden tea, which is popular. It's a spiced milk tea, kind of similar to a chai flavor. The coffee house itself is very inviting, well kept, and has an overall great aesthetic. Haraz is a pretty nice coffee shop if you want to hang out or study. They have a lot of desserts and food options available. Additionally they have a lot of unique drinks and flavors. We tried their matcha cloud drinks and they were ok compared to other drinks that they offer here like their adeni tea. The mango and strawberry flavors were overpowering and you couldn't really taste the matcha. I would recommend trying their milk cakes or adeni tea if youre here as that is their specialty. read more

First time here. It's on a corner, not too far from the University. We came on a wednesday morning. There were just a couple other people there. Lots of natural light coming in from all the windows. The place was clean, and quiet. I have been to a similar coffee shops and have enjoyed the distinct and strong flavor of the Adeni tea. Got greeted by a friendly Barista, who was the only one there. Ordered Saffron Adeni and a Honeycomb Cheese Bread, they call it Bee Bites. My friend got the Pistachio Latte and the Baklava. All of the items that very good. The Baklava was very fresh and flavorful. The Cheese Bread was good, but maybe a little over baked. My only disappointment was in ordering the Adeni Tea, I asked (several times) if there was a way that I could have it made as a latte. Where the milk is actually frothed, and with some foam on top. The Barista understood what I was asking for, but wouldn't/couldn't make it that way. (Other Yemeni coffee houses offer that option, like Qamaria in Greenfield). read more

Yemeni coffee shops are cropping up all over Milwaukee. They tend to have spiced coffees and teas, nice decor, desserts and pastries, and be open late. Haraz has all those qualities and is also close to UWM. It gets a bit busy and it can be a little hard to move around when it's crowded. But it also looks like a good place to work or study. Most of the tables have access to an outlet. And it would be a good place to hang out and have a conversation too. On my first visit I had the Sana'ani coffee with cardamom and the Dubai chocolate brownie. I liked the depth of flavor of the coffee. The brownie was a deliciously indulgent midday snack. I ate it in small bites. It was so dense that my plastic fork broke 3/4 of the way through. Definitely recommend. On a return visit I had the saffron Adeni tea. That was a real treat. I love coffee but I don't always want to drink it in the afternoon and have trouble sleeping later. But this was something special. It had a complex flavor with some bitterness from the tea and some almost savoriness from the saffron and not too much sugar to overwhelm the more subtle notes. I love coffee shops and this is definitely one I would go back to to read or charge my phone or just check out some more of the dessert case. read more

Hip and trendy Yemeni coffee shop on the east side. They have a great selection of coffee and tea. Decided to finally try Haraz to get a chai latte, which didn't disappoint. I loved the vibe inside with a pretty young and diverse crowd. I also decided to try their apple and mango mousse dessert, but there were a variety of fruit flavors. It's a white chocolate shell with cream and fruit filling. I really liked the mango one although it didn't taste much like mango; the apple one was meh. I would definitely come back and have a working day here. read more

Very excited about this new Yemeni cafe in town. I'm a frequent flyer at Qamaria in Greenfield for their pistachio lattes so I needed to check out Haraz which is much closer to home. It's very cute inside, I would totally bring a laptop and bust out some work if I needed to. The baked goods all looked amazing and there is a bigger selection than at Qamaria. I didn't try anything today but they looked incredible. The taste of my pistachio was good but maybe a bit different than I expected. I only have the pistachio latte from one other place to compare it to but I was expecting a bit more creamy flavor and this latte was light on on the creamy pistachio and a bit harsher/bitter on the coffee front. I still drank it all, it was good, just different. I'd probably try some of their other drinks next time I come back. Service was friendly. I wish them so much luck! I stopped by on opening day to check out the place and grabbed a couple of items to go. There's a "bee" named pastry that is absolutely delicious, not too sweet and perfect as a snack and/or with coffee, and I also got one of their decadent chocolate desserts to take home. Beautiful and elegant space and a great location on, right on the Green bus line. It would be awesome if they added outside seating when the weather is warm and nice. read more

The service is as quick as it possibly can get because they make the drinks from scratch. The ambiance is great. The music is low enough that this would be a great study place since it is by a high school in college. The availability of the items and drinks depends on the time you go. I have gone to this place a number of times for the Saudi drink. That to me is the best item on the menu and no other coffee house has it. However, each time I have had it, it has been a bit inconsistent which is why I say it depends on when you go if you go in the early morning great. If it is in the afternoon it may not taste the same. I guess it all depends on when they have the most traffic. read more

Overpriced ($14.99 for a 1/2 cup of strawberries with Nutella and pistachios with a 1/4 cup of kannafeh), pistachio latte was nuclear waste artificial green-colored and crazy sweet. The service was unorganized and surprisingly anemic with multiple people running around in the back, taking your order only for you to wait 10-15 minutes for one item. They were much better their first week but went downhill nearly immediately. It's not worth it; go to a local coffee shop, not this awful "trendy" sugar hut disguised as an Arabian-style cafe. read more

Came in with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't to busy. The place is stunning with alot of attention to detail in the decoration and furnishings. My boyfriend ordered the traditional coffees, it came in a beautiful pot. You could tell they did it correctly it was fresh and flavorful not watered down like many I've had before. I had an iced Americano with oat milk. I forgot to ask for syrups and the staff were so kind and helpful. They added coconut syrup to my coffee until it was to my liking. We also shared the pistachio cheesecake, I still dream about it and will absolutely be back for it. The savory breads we shared were also delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more
