Avoid this place! Once again, they've been shut down by the health department for rodent infestation. This is the second time in less than four months this place has been shut down by the health department. We had stopped in for breakfast and the host was horrible. Waited twenty minutes just to get water. The pace is tiny so I don't understand the wait just for a glass of water. When our meal came out, it wasn't what we had ordered so we refused to pay. Came here in a Saturday morning and was able to walk in and sit at the bar. The coffee was strong and the food was quick which makes the ingredients of a great breakfast place for me! I came in to this small restuarant since I was looking at their reviews. As I walk in I notice they had a sign to please wait to be seated. I stand there for a quite few minutes until I got aknowledge. I got asked if I wanted to seat at the bar since it was just me and I said yes. As I was there. I also waited a couple minutes just to get my order taken. I got coffee and ordered the patty melt. The coffee tasted fresh and really good. I was almost done with my cup when I got my food. The patty melt had a nice toasty crunch which was nice. The patty on the other hand was med well. Even though I had asked for med rare. I cut the sandwich in half and only got to eat that much. The meat was lacking flavors and seasoning. Tasted like a meat with nothing on it. The tater tots were good but where on the crunchier side. I like mine a little softer but I didn't know tha's how they made them. They started to get more people inside and out and which I thinj I heard them say they had space next door. Luckily I was able to get refill on my drink. Only bad thing is that they didn't even ask how was the food. After I was done I was not touching the food so they will notice I was done. That wasn't the case. I had to ask for a box and the check other wise they wouldn't do nothing. I gave this place 3 stars cause it was lacking service and the food was really bland to me. Busy spot along Little Italy to grab an early morning breakfast if you're in the area. The waits are pretty long and folks were sitting around outside. Food was not bad, but the service was a bit limited. The manager/lead seemed to be trying to make up for a handful of disinterested staff who were floating about the diner not attending to any of the customers of patrons. Prices were a bit expensive but what you'd expect for Little Italy. Parking is near impossible, so make sure you either can walk from a bit farther away, get lucky w/ street parking, or grab a rideshare in. We had the hash breakfast and the eggs bene - pretty good but not necessarily something I'd go out of my way to get. If it's early and you're in the area, this is a reasonable breakfast option however. read more

Most important the food tasted great and our server was extremely kind. The ambiance is very coffee shop like, old school and I appreciated that. There were only two drawbacks. First, the owner (host) who is in charge of the wait list is salty. She did a relatively poor job of managing the customers waiting and sat several parties who arrived after us before us. When we asked her why she response was less than apologetic to say the least. I suggest she spend more of her time as owner manager and less time seating customers. Alternatively a smile or a better organized system to seat customers would help. The second issue is no fault of the restaurant. While sitting outside is nice weather permitting, the number of homeless in that area is certainly an issue. The city of San Diego and moreover the state of CA still has a lot of work to do despite empty promises from Sacramento. I ate at Harbor breakfast two days in a row. Both days I was completely satisfied. The first day I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel to go. I wish I took a picture. It was really good. Today I got the eggs Benedict and sat down. This place has always been busy when I have walked past and I finally took the time to go in over the weekend. It was just 2 of us and thankfully there were 2 seats at the bar top. I wish the chairs swiveled a little bit more because it is hard to get into them but that's not a huge deal. I will say the workers here hustle! Our server was working so hard with all the bar seats and table along with making drinks and running food so shout out to them for killing it, especially on a hot day. I ended up going with a simple Denver omelette because I couldn't decide what to get. My partner and I stopped here for breakfast before we headed to the cruise terminal a few blocks away. The location is on a corner location with outside tables, a few inside tables and a big bar. The space is small so probably better for small groups. We walked by earlier and saw how busy it was so we were curious to swing by. We came back about 30 mins later and saw some open spots at the bar. We were greeted less than a minute after we walked in and headed for those two spots at the bar. The server working the bar immediately gave us water as we sat and took our drink orders. When we ordered we both ordered bagel sandwiches and the server pointed out that they didn't come with sides. I did not need a side but I appreciated him pointing that out to us. My partner went ahead and got an fried egg bagel sandwich with a side of hash browns and I got the salmon lox bagel. He also got a Bloody Mary and I got a mimosa, in addition to coffee. All the drinks were great. The food came out quick and was delish. The bagels were nicely toasted and overall the portions were HUGE. I'm glad we only got one side which we shared. Hash browns were a little greasy on the bottom but crispy on top so overall a nice balance. Our plates were cleared promptly when we finished and we were presented with the check. We weren't in a hurry but it can be nice for people who need to head out quickly. This was definitely a nice find for us. Again location is ideal if you are staying close by and want some breakfast. Looks like most parking is street parking but we were walking. They also offer takeout as an option. We will definitely put this on our rotation whenever we are in San Diego. read more

And when we asked why we weren't told this at the time of ordering her answer was i didn't know. We ended up having to eat them as we were starving after the race and weren't willing to wait ANOTHER 45mins for the new plates to come. The server was rude about the whole situation on top of everything as if was our fault. No sort of discount for not having the main part of the dish and on top of that they added 20% gratuity to our check! No wonder she was rude and didn't care, she was getting her tip regardless.
