We had been talking about trying this Burger Bar all year. We had a few last minute holiday gifts to pick up. The perfect opportunity. The beers were a bit expensive $7 and $8. Two beers and a burger each makes for an expensive Lunch. The burgers were awesome and come with house made chips. So good they are ridiculous. I did get fries for an up charge but the chips are so good I would not bother. We went to pay with a credit card which began an event that is too long and convoluted to go into. Suffice it tto say we were kept waiting for over a half hour before they figured out their address were down. The bill came to $59.00 plus tip. We do not carry cash with us. And we did not see a manager for over a half hour. Foos was great. But management is clueless. It is very expensive. read more

A welcomed addition in Stone Harbor. The burgers were great. The beer was cold. And the services was good too. The buff chicken eggrolls were delish and they have fried pickles which we can't wait to try the next time we go back. We were In Stone Harbor for a long weekend for a wedding. We went here every night of our stay for late evening drinks. The bartender, Chuck, was super nice and attentive. Pricing of the drinks was not bad and their happy hour and football specials were cheaper than those where we live, which is surprising for a vacation beach town. Only downside is they closed earlier than we would have liked, around 11 most nights, but it was the second to last weekend of the season. I don't expect any place to stay open for 3-4 patrons. read more

Fantastic lunch at Harbor Burger this afternoon! We were looking for lunch and some cold drinks after a perfect day at beach. Harbor Burger is an open air restaurant on the Main Street in Stone Harbor with a large bar and plenty of seating. Mitra, our bartender served up great drinks and conversation! She was very friendly and made us feel like we were regulars . We both thoroughly enjoyed our burger and flatbread pizza! Don't forget the mushroom appetizer. Sinful :). Harbor burger bar is my favorite restaurant in town! I had my graduation party here, the staff is accommodating, friendly, and very prompt. The food is absolutely amazing. Fried pickles are my favorite appetizer and I loved the special mac and cheese burger, and I don't even like red meat! New to the area and saw that this restaurant had four stars. Totally undeserved and misleading . The service was friendly and prompt, and the beer was cold, that much was positive. But the food was not good. Nachos had a little bit of cheese whiz (that they called Guinness cheese sauce) and about a tablespoon of Pico de Gallo with a side container of sour cream. That's it. I mean, how do you screw up nachos? The burger was awful: tasteless, weird looking meat. The shoestring fries were soggy. Honestly, I felt sick after eating there. My wife and I enjoyed our third meal at Harbor Burger Bar. This place nails it every time. They make their hamburgers using Pat LaFrieda beef. Most steakhouses in New York source their beef from LaFrieda's. But it doesn't stop there, their fries and onion rings are awesome. Also, they offer a full bar selection. The wait staff and bartenders are both competent and incredibly courteous. We locals are fortunate to have this restaurant available to us 12 months a year. read more

Harbor Burger Bar is a decent joint and the food is hot, fresh, but a bit overpriced as are the drinks--but on par for the island. The service is tremendous and the staff is polite and attentive which can be hard to find in south jersey. The bar is great as well and the decor is fresh and modern. Went to Harbor Burger Bar to get some food and a drink to take into the movie "wetlands" with my fiancé and mother, sat at the bar and the bar tender did not even acknowledge us. Sat there for 10 minuets and still didn't even look at us and he was right in front of us. We walked away and decided not to eat at all and went into the movie. They should pay a little more attention to customers who are sitting down and maybe they would have a better business. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I am not one to write a review but it was so bad that I have to. I got a texas burger, the bacon was fatty and gross and there was no bbq on it. Not to mention the whole burger itself was awful. My friends both didn't like their food either. Nachos had no cheese and there was just some tomatoes and jalapeños thrown on top which was supposed to be "pica de gallo". Pulled pork sliders didn't even taste like pulled pork. Everything was sloppily thrown together. Extremely over priced for the horrible quality of food. The menu is a joke nothing like what actually comes out. Great experience! Went for lunch and was immediately seated. We tried the fried pickles and a hamburger. Excellent! Our waitress could not be any sweeter and service was prompt. Thought we would give this new restaurant a try. Not happy at all. When our food arrived our waitress accidentally knock over my drink. No big deal accidents happen. But, they didn't clean the mess properly, table was still sticky and wet,and puddle on the floor. They could have offered a different table or cleaned it right. I love the atmosphere here. One of the few restaurants with an open view overlooking main 96 th st. Have couches for apps and drinks as well as tables for standard dining. I've had their salads with salmon or chicken and their fish tacos ( which I really enjoyed). Last night we had the blue arugula burger and a Mediterranean salad. Both were good. Also had a side of fries which were the skinny ones; I prefer a thicker steak fry. No drinks last night but I have had drinks there- Titos is their house vodka. I thought the beach today was bad with the green head flies. Then my wife and I went here for a late night bite after a nice dolphin watching boat ride out of cape may. And the flies were worse here, a constant ankle biting bother, don't need that in a restaurant on vacation. GOOD LUCK. read more

We were in town shopping and decided to stop and have a later dinner. Wish we didn't...although the food might have been good, it was delivered to our table cold. It was obvious that it was sitting in the kitchen for awhile . We didn't order anything complicated...a burger, fries, chicken nachos and a crab cake sandwich. Not to mention that our waiter was awful. We waited at our table for about 10minutes before he even came to get a drink order and after our food was finally delivered, he never returned to the table to check on us or we would have had the opportunity to say the food was cold. I know this is a new place but they have to work out some of the flaws ASAP. Sat at the bar - drink was messed up, sent it back. Ordered the filet tips salad thinking nice chunks of filet will appear. Not at all! It was like shredded cheesesteak. Didn't eat it. Also had to send that back because I request NO cheese. Guess we should just stick to the burgers! Hopefully all the "kinks" will be controlled by the end of summer. read more

We stopped in the other night before a movie and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the excellent service. I had the Mediterranean Salad topped with a crab cake (what a great menu option) and it was fresh and delicious. Even by the beach, it is hard to find a real lump crab cake like that one. It's my new favorite. My daughter loved the lobster mac and cheese burger (which my husband had to help her finish and he agreed it was delicious). Others in our party raved about the crab bisque, the breakfast burger, and the truffle flat bread. Even the one vegetarian there raved about the meatless options. What a great addition to the town! Awesome bison burger in a bright, cheerful place, with nice draft beer selection and a super friendly and helpful bartender. Nice tv's to watch sports. Great addition to the Stone Harbor food scene! NEVER EAT HERE EVER AGAIN (This is experience was from around a year ago but I have finally gotten around to making a yelp account) This is a burger bar, yet they use FROZEN patties for their burgers. The first time I ate from there the food was O.K. yet overpriced. The second time I ate there I realized that it was a complete mistake. First off I had called for take-out and the woman that answered the phone didn't even know that they had take-out and had to talk to the manager about it. When she got back onto the phone she took my order. Then I went over to pick up my food and found myself waiting for 5 minutes to have someone ask me what I was doing. I told them that I was hear for pick up and then they went back and had another server bring me my food. It was about $27 so I gave the woman $30. Then she walked away, I stood and waited for my change for a few minutes and realized that she wasn't coming back so I left. I was disappointed from the amount of time wasted just getting the food and little did I know I would also be disappointed eating the food. I had ordered the Texas burger and "Bavarian pretzels" that came with beer cheese dip (which were the classic frozen Super Pretzels that you can buy by the dozen at a grocery store for a third of the price)They were incredibly salty and oily. Then came the cheese dip, which was absolutely disappointing. It was a fake orange, very salty cheese with minimal flavor that you would see on gas station nachos. After eating those (drinking a lot of water) I started to eat the sad excuse of a burger. At first it looked alright but when I began to eat it i realized something was up. The barbecue sauce was very thin and had very little flavor or resemblance to actual barbecue sauce. The burger meat was what really disappointed me the most. It was a frozen patty, it was extremely obvious as it had very little flavor, was very dry, and had that very miserable frozen food flavor. This was the poorest excuse of a burger I have ever had the misfortune of eating. Never will I ever eat at this restaurant that has the audacity to call itself a burger bar ever again. Why would someone open up a restaurant, name it The Burger Bar, and then sell food cooked from frozen patties. It's unprofessional and it's unacceptable. read more
