Temporarily here for work and visiting family. Having our dog and not wanting to leave him at the hotel,it was great to enjoy dinner out that wasn't greasy fast food because we were allowed to dine on the patio with our pet. That's an extra bonus and I think more places in Clarksville should follow their lead. The food was very tasteful and they gave large portions. They also provided a bowl of water for our dog. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal and/or those traveling with a pet. read more

I recently moved back to Clarksville after being gone for 10 years. My family suggested I eat here and I LOVE this place. I've been in upscale restaurants all over the country, and I have NEVER had service this good. The staff is outrageously friendly and the owner/manager remembers almost everyone that comes in as if they were regulars. The food is FANTASTIC. The decor is cheesy, but had a very comfortable and cozy home feel to it. I give this place 5 stars for food and the amazing service. My only negative comment is the restaurant has no identity. They offer too many menu items in order to appease everyone. If they are going to call themselves "Harbor Cafe", they need to identify as a coastal or seafood restaurant and serve predominantly seafood. Otherwise, I have no complaints and will continue to eat at this lovely place! read more

I would give this place zero stars. The service was bad the food was even worse. But what topped it all off is the owner's. They need to shut down and find a different kind of business. They use to own Texas casual grill which shut down In less then a year and they also owned Jade Dragon which burnt down. Jade Dragon was there better restaurant. The waitress was SUPER nice ! Very attentive. I had the ribs with a side salad and baked potato. Let me just say, they loveeee shredded cheese . It was a lot on my salad and baked potato. The ribs were tough.. taste like they were from yesterday. We ordered an appetizer of boneless wings and they were tough. My husband had the Cajun shrimp and crab meat Alfredo pasta. He said it was pretty good . I had the 2 for 1 margarita with was excellent ! Probably the best part of my meal lol. I give three stars because of the customer service . I honestly have no idea how this place stays open...What was once a honest restaurant called Tumbleweeds years and years ago warped into Harbor Cafe roughly 8-10 years ago, and it is all downhill from there. Personal opinion? The bar is probably what keeps it in business. The drinks there are pretty decent, if not a bit pricey the few times I have been there. Food? Not so much. While you would think the title means that it mostly deals with Fish and is a Cafe, both are HORRIBLE lies. It does have some fish dishes, but it is mainly a Chinese dine-in restaurant (No buffet) with a attempt at a couple of american dishes. Food has always been greasy or just underdone the 3 times I have tried it. The inside also looks very grimy, and not appealing to the eyes at all, and the outside is very badly decorated. It is also a little hard to get to and is stuck in the corner of Lowes Drive. Overall: Blah. Go to Chili's on Lowes drive for decent food, and China King for a better Chinese place. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. I went here with several colleagues (5 of us total), and not any of us felt like we got a good meal. After reading others' reviews on Yelp, and noting that all of the staff / management appeared to be Asian, I guess that I should have picked some Asian food....but I did not, nor did any of my group, and all of us felt like our meals were previously frozen, totally generic / bland, and really very poor. Although their menu is enormous, I'd recomend that they pick a few things that they're good at, and stick with those. Sorry Harbor Cafe, I'll never be back. read more

I have been to this restaurant with friends several times over the years. It's a pretty decent place if you like cheap drinks and mediocre Chinese food. Your in for a big let down if you order anything else, because this is a chinese restaurant posing as something it's not. I wouldn't be surprised if everything else was just prepackaged and warmed in a microwave in the back. At least they actually cook the Chinese food and it's not half bad. I recommend the fried rice or lo mien, you get a lot. Not to mention, again, that the drinks are cheap. We just moved here to Clarksville and tried out Harbor Café the other night. I would say the service was great no issues there, wasn't too impressed with my food , but I think it was because it was crawfish and season is rolling to and end .. but it just didn't taste too great. I was glad it was at least hot! My husband however ordered Salmon and it was delicious. Also good deal on the margaritas. Next time , I will just try another dish, but all-in-all was good. read more

Quite possible the worst dinning experience ever! At first we thought that the waitress was just overwhelmed but quickly figured out she and the rest of the staff were just incompetent. As our salads came out before our appetizers, we had to ask for silverware, twice, then appetizer plates, and we were still waiting for part of our drink order. We had to send one appetizer back due to it being extremely overcooked. As the waitress has passed our table several times at this point, two of us had empty drinks in front of us that she failed to ask if we wanted refills, EVER! When the main entrees arrived, a server set three of the five dinners on the table and walked away. As the entrees in front of us were similar to what we had ordered, it was not our order. It was the order of the table next to us. We promptly notified the waitress and she picked up the plates and set them in front of the customers at the next table! OMG After finally receiving our correct dinners, they were fair at best, one steak being overcooked. As the waitress was clearing plates she asked if we would like a to-go container for the uneaten, overcooked steak. We declined and she proceeded to walk away with no questions asked. UM, red flag? Did I mention we never got a second round of drinks? You are wondering why we didn't send our steak back or ask for a fifth time for more drinks? We figured at this point in our dinning experience, what's the point, it was becoming a comical experience with all of the screw ups why ruin it by complaining even more. This is probably only second to Fujiyama's on my list of favorite restaurants in Clarksville. I have never been disappointed with ANY dish I've ordered here and because I'm a light drinker, this is my go-to spot for margaritas and other mixed-drinks. I'd imagine they have stronger stuff as well, if you're so inclined, but where the place really shines is the variety of food. Feel like Chinese? No, how about Italian? They even have some Korean dishes! Hands down the best calamari I've ever had. The beef wrap (Can't remember the name) was to die for and I love munching on the sweet potato fries. Never had to wait for seating and I even brought my wedding party here for an early dinner. They set up a little area with a flowered arch over it for us. It was a very nice gesture. read more

Good service, great drinks, terrible food! Our server was kind and attentive. The mojitos were fantastic and 2 for 1. The food, however, was inedible. My wife and I NEVER send food back but we made an exception here because we literally couldnt stomach it. They did end up comping the meals, which was nice since we hardly touched either of them. My family wont be returning though, not for dinner anyway, maybe for a few drinks at the bar. Jessica O., Yelp doesn't let us respond to comments so this is the best option I could come up with. The way the food was cooked was not the issue for my meal. It was the quality of the food. I would consider a different vendor for your seafood. My husband and I frequent this restaurant on a weekly basis and love it. We have never tried anything that we don't like and the wait staff along with the owners are the friendliest around town! I wouldn't even give this "restaurant" one star if I didn't have to. We went this past winter for a Girls Night Out. We had 5 in our party total, and waited an hour and forty five minutes for a table. After that the service wasn't exceptional. When we got our food we were less than impressed with presentation, and then taste. One of my friends had eaten half of her chicken dish and discovered that one piece was raw. Awful! She brought it to the waitresses attention, they took it off her bill, but still charged her 1.29 for her soda! I think for RAW CHICKEN they should have just taken care of her entire meal-fail! One word can sum up our experience: ugh. Went for lunch on a Saturday. There was barely anyone else in the dark restaurant with us... except for the guests of a random baby shower happening in the very middle of the dining room. I'm not completely heartless- congrats to the family- we just felt like we were crashing the party and it was odd. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo, my husband got a burger, and for an appetizer we chose fried pickles. People- these were gigantic, whole breaded pickles. Never seen anything like it in my life. The breading gets all mushy and just slides right off, leaving you to bite into a rubbery dill with a LAVA HOT juicy center. My Alfredo tasted like sadness, like absolutely nothing. Hubby said his burger was "eh... alright" and when he asked for mayo, the waitress tossed him a few cafeteria-style mayo packets as she passed the table. I mean... lie to us even! Squirt em into a cup! Presentation counts. At least our waitress was nice. I very rarely leave reviews like this... it was just super disappointing. I went last night with a large group. Everyone enjoyed their food and what the large group ate was quite varied. Egg Foo Yong is not on the menu, but I asked could they still prepare it and they did. It was wonderful. They have an excellent party room that can sit about 20 people. I reserved ahead. This worked out great. The service was good, but not excellent. read more

So it was a split decision on how to rate this place from dinner last night so here's how it breaks down: 1) The drink machine wouldn't dispense Dr. Pepper, the waitress was very apologetic, but when she brought us cokes, they tasted weird. Thankfully, she kept us in mind, & brought us Dr. Peppers when the machine was functioning again. 2) My daughter ate all of her meal; tilapia & shrimp with mashed potatoes and sweet fries. She said it was very good. 3) Our other friend had a sirloin steak meal that was deemed passable, but not for the price. 4) My dish; chicken cordon bleu, looked very nice when it arrived, but was cold in the center when I went to eat it. The mashed potatoes, in my opinion, were nothing to write about (but I just did haha). The salad was good, no wilting or unappetizing pieces. 5) The dinner rolls, as mentioned in other reviews, were pretty decent. Our waitress brought us extra. We chose this place, (here from out of town with travel basketball) after reading the reviews, by the amount of cars in the parking lot: not very many... We would assume the food was bad. Too many & we weren't going to wait. But there was a decent looking amount in the lot (not compared to the amount of tables inside however), so we decided to give it a chance. The food is, at best, 3 stars. The waitstaff is, at least 4 stars, & the only redeemable quality of that place. But when the bill arrived and was $72 before tip... Well, there was no way that food was worth that price. Save yourself heartache & go to Chili's next door. read more

We have driven past this restaurant every week when we go shopping for the past 2 years....finally we went in & are so thrilled we did. It will become a regular place for us to go have lunch or dinner! Service- Fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere. Great seating areas & a full bar area as well! Menu has MANY CHOICES.
