So you're telling me that the guy who can get this for me is still in the warehouse for another 20 minutes, but because he wants to leave at exactly 8:00pm when his shift is over he's refusing to get this for me and you expect me to drive back to this store tomorrow after having already drove here now? You're basically refusing to work until your shift is actually over but getting paid just the same? I'm not coming back. I'll go to Lowe's or Home Depot or any other store worth my time traveling to. This store is a joke.

Customer service is second to none and they always try and help me find what I need! They've helped me with clogged sinks, leaking toilets, garden needs....the list goes on. I felt so welcomed and comfortable as a beginner gardener, and excited tot take on more projects thanks to Omar's help. Five star customer service! The plants I purchased were great and the value was perfect. Home Depot beat Lowe's on all metrics in this case! I told him I was looking for a specific model of an item, and he said they could check surrounding stores for availability. Great. He then brought over another associate to help, but that associate said he needed the item number rather than the model name. The first associate repeatedly pointed to my phone and told me to look it up on the store's website myself. Aren't employees provided with handheld devices to look up products and inventory? If customers are expected to search for the information themselves, it would also help if the store had adequate cell reception. I couldn't get the website to load, and the associate acknowledged the poor reception and suggested I walk all the way toward the front of the store to get a signal. The second associate eventually walked away, and just as the first associate appeared to be leaving as well, he turned around and asked whether I have an air conditioner and whether I wanted to replace it. I said I have one but don't want to replace it. He then asked me why not, which I found unnecessarily intrusive. He followed that by asking whether I wanted to sign up for an AC maintenance service. I declined. I appreciate associates approaching customers and offering assistance, but there's a difference between being helpful and making a customer feel pressured and uncomfortable. I came in for help locating a kitchen item, not to be questioned about my air conditioner, why I don't want to replace it, or whether I want additional services. The interaction became uncomfortable enough that I was glad to leave the store.

The Fremont location have more plants to offer and the customer service was great. I was looking for a plastic draining pan and the staff were helpful in pointing it out to me. It's not outside or near the entrance which you would think. They have growth hormones which I plan to use when my plants have more roots growing out of their pots. There are plenty to look at. I took a lot of photos but not all because there were so many plants. The plants are displayed very well and organized. If you need work-life balance, taking care of a plant in the office and seeing it grow is rewarding and takes your mind off work. Plants aren't too expensive when you start out with easy ones to raise.

It is all between half to 75 off. At this point it is way cheaper than Ikea junk and better quality. I have a real hang up with patio furniture. It has to fit the space and I don't like real wood and I don't like glass and I don't like it when the chairs don't tuck under the table completely when not in use and I don't like it when you need cushions that you have to store in the winter to make them comfortable. I can never find exactly what I want - I didn't this time either - but at the prices they were giving this stuff away for I filled up my truck and went back twice. I put my new table and chairs together quick and it was painless. It makes such a big difference in enjoying my front patio and back balcony. My back balcony has rather tall railings - so I always wanted a bar height situation so I could look over the railing when seated - so now I have that. My geraniums hanging plants I like more than I ever could have thought. I can have a garden full of flowers but when I'm sitting in my living room or every time I walk through the front door these are what I focus on and constantly admire. I might put a few flower boxes in under the window. People in Germany do that often - I will have to build them myself as the exact fitment of them and size I obsess over. I will be back for a few fence posts and see if I can make that happen. Home Depot will have everything I need to do it.

I was so irritated because we registered and I'm not sure how they would run out if people who are registered haven't shown up yet? Why wouldn't they save theirs? We already knew exactly which one we wanted, so this should have been a simple purchase. It took four calls to the Garden Center and one employee physically walking over there to try to find someone to help us, all with no success. After waiting 40 minutes, my husband went to the customer service/returns desk for assistance. There were 4-5 employees standing there chatting, and not a single one acknowledged us during the entire time we waited. We were told someone needed to either bring the grill down from the rack or retrieve it from a pallet in the back. What was particularly frustrating was that there were several employees available yet they chose to send the woman to handle the task alone. This isn't about questioning her capability it's about common sense and teamwork. We then spoke with another employee who repeatedly tried to convince us to purchase the floor model that was already assembled. I'm sorry, but if I'm spending $700 on a grill, I want a brand-new product straight out of the box. The fact that my purchase seemed like an inconvenience to the employees doing the job they're paid to do is not acceptable. After nearly an hour of waiting with no resolution, we decided to leave. We drove to Lowe's instead and received outstanding customer service. Not only were the employees helpful and attentive, but they even offered us a complimentary gift. We were in and out within 25 minutes. Ironically, at Home Depot, one of the first things they asked for was our ID so they could sign us up for a credit card. How about helping customers complete the purchase they came in for before pushing credit card applications? Extremely disappointing experience. We won't be returning.

Last time, someone answered, but she's talking to someone in front of her, who's arguing about something he bought. No matter how many times you say hello, she can't be bothered to attend to the customer on the phone which she, for some unknown reason, answered, even though she wasn't ready to speak to the customer. Why on earth would you answer the phone if you're still talking to someone else? The other day i was put on hold forever. It was obvious nobody was going to pick up so i finally hung up and called back. Then the same thing happened when that employee transferred me to appliances. I see they only have 2 stars even though they're paying yelp a monthly fee. That means they're REALLY bad!
