They have an automated system that doesnt work, a,d at this point, even if I loved the apartment, I wouldnt want to deal with your management company. Nice try on the added $50 a month they say is required to rent any of their properties, pretty certain that's illegal. Youre charging a monthly fee to the renters on top of their rent for what? "We try to process all applications within 3-4 business days." is clearly stated when you load the rental application page to apply. If you're a property owner, you should know you're losing out on rent money because these these people cannot get crap together. Erica, the lady managing the rental property we applied to told us multiple times, "I only have 4 hours a day to process applications because this is not my full-time job". We asked when we'll find out or if she could provide a timeline on when a decision will be made and of course got the same reply "...I only have 4 hours a day...". We're out $66 for the two application fees but property owners are losing way more for hiring these people. Your job is to provide a service. Do your job! Enough excuses. read more

This company will take your $33 for a credit check and never run your credit. Kelly never reviewed my credit but kept my $33.00 u can't complete an application without paying for a credit check. Always ask for a copy or receipt of your credit check when dealing with this company because they will keep your money and not give it back and not even run your credit. I have 2 other friends this has happened to. Their site will not let u complete an application without that $33.00 credit check fee! They wish they cared, but they don't really. If you need them to pay clear attention to something in your request, list it first! Otherwise they will not necessarily read far enough because they are just checking a box. I called to clarify why the plumber showed up without notice when I clearly stated that we needed minimum 1 hr notice, I was then met with a bad attitude from both management and the plumber. If Harbor Property Management really cared about their business they would put customers first and train their staff properly. This Property Management company has absolutely the worst customer service you could have. I've contacted them many times to get information about their listings, with specific questions regarding the specific listing and they don't have the answer. Yet, they are listing the property. But could not be bothered to get to know all the specifics about said listing in order to answer all questions. It's just about the money. On a separate occasion I stopped by to inquire about a listing, the door was locked during business hours which I believe is a violation, a young girl came to the door and told me to go online to make arrangements. I am here at the business! Why would I go home to make arrangements. After talking her into a face to face interaction, she made the appointment. Which initially did not work for me. After speaking to a friend, who I did not know would be available, I changed my mind. We were still at the business, outside because no one is allowed inside of an open business. So I called to tell the young girl that I would take the appointment and asked her to return to the door of the open business. She refused and I had to transact the business from the parking lot. Like a transient. Very poor service! Finally, I called today so that I could ask a simple question about a property that they manage, where I lived previously for 3 years. When they were not managing. Thank God! The girl who answered the phone treated me as though I had asked to speak with the President of the United States, when I only asked to speak to the person who manages the property. She placed me on hold and without even knowing what I wanted to ask, she returns to the line and tells me, "I spoke to my supervisor and since you are not a tenant we don't have to give you any information" WHAT !!! They had no idea what I was going to state or ask. But NO. Can't ask anything. Refused to come to the phone. I truly hope that the new owner of the property on 25th street reads Yelp, because they need to FIRE HARBOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT from managing their new property. And on a separate note, they state that all of their tenants are enrolled into some maintenance service that costs $49.95 per month. Please do your research if you plan on renting one of their units. This is not a legal requirement and you do not have to enroll!!! You can buy your own rental insurance policy and they are still responsible for repairs. PERIODT! And the "concierge" service they are "offering" within this $49.95 package is offered for FREE by Southern California Gas Company. I am not sure why Yelp has this business listed on 25th street. Dogs running loose in common area. Blocking other people's garages. I've filed complaints with management but they only want money so their not there to really help. I am extremely unhappy with what literally just happened. I started by seeing a listing on Trulia and proceeded to request a viewing per the instructions on the listing. I went to their website and started the process of making an account. I was hesitant about taking a "selfie" and uploading my drivers license (front and back), but i did. The next step is to input my credit card information. That is where I stopped. I couldn't believe I was being asked to input my credit card information on a place I haven't even seen yet. I decided to write an e-mail and sent it to Gaby. I sent the e-mail at 3:23pm. I didn't hear back until 4:50pm, they close at 5:00pm. Luckily during that time I actually called, not sure who I spoke to, but they reassured me that it was because of their security and, after all, I am going to see their unit unsupervised. I had mentioned which unit I wanted to see several times. They told me as soon as I am done to call back or send Gaby a message to approve it so I can see it today. Okay, fair enough. I input the card information, and as I was about to send an e-mail, this is when I get my response back(4:50pm), saying she will help me on Monday and call back then. I quickly wrote back, seriously, 1 minute later, to ask her to approve it. Then rather than taking a chance, I decided, okay its 4:53pm, I will call before they close. Well, no one answered, so their posted hours are not being honored. Now here is why this became a "1 start review", as nice as the other person was, and I truly do not hold anything on Gaby, but I went to look ar the unit I was fighting so hard to see up until this point. Right there at the top left "off market". I was so upset, that I went through all....ALL...of that, just for it to be gone. Neither the lady, nor Gaby, even knowing this was the place I wanted to see, had mentioned this was being taken off the market. We are talking about a matter of minutes between, it was there and then gone, and having been in contact with both of them. If I didn't feel like the whole credit card sharing was a sham before, well that certainly is now the case. How convenient, that AFTER I finally give you guys my credit card information, the place I wanted to see is off the market. I have been struggling to find the right fit for my husband and I, and to have this happen on top of all our stress is just so sad. I will try and see if this self touring site is legit on my own and I hope that it is, but this unnecessary stress is very disappointing. read more

The worst property management I have ever encountered. When we arrived to our loft on move-in day, the place was filthy. We had to wait a few days for somebody to come and clean the floors, countertops and doors which were covered in dust and felt sticky! The window had no screen door which were never installed although we were told it would be. We were there for a year and it was never installed. WARNING!! My husband and I applied for an apartment with this company, we both have 700 + score they charged us 33 dollars each for application fee , ran our credit and after 2 1/2 weeks I called and emailed Amy Porter for the stat of our application and they said so sorry for the long wait but your application is still processing. It's been a month now and no one has contacted us of anything. So i thought to go online to see if this unit was rented or not to find out that it was still vacant and that they have changed the rent from 1550 a month to 1695 a month. What a rip off just charging people and run credits with no reply... please stay away from this company save your time and credit being ran for hard inquiries for no reason. read more
