This place is super spacious. Loved it here. Can't comment on the food and drinks because I didn't order either but the pool tables are clean and spaced out from one another. Super reasonable prices to play per person. Loved my experience there. Also you cannot bring outside things in there, not even a water bottle. My brother and I were looking for a place to shoot for a few hours. Mind you, we grew up playing and played in leagues when we were younger (we are both 55+ now) so we know a bit about pool halls and tables. We were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 9' tables and the felt. Ours (and I believe all of them) was in really good condition. The lighting was great, music was good and the ambiance really made for a nice evening. Beer selection was sufficient. My husband and I had a great time here last week with friends! We had drinks at the bar while we waited for a table to open up, it was a out a 25-30m wait, not terrible. We played for a little under two hours and had a great time. Staff was friendly and attentive - ensured we had drinks. The venue is kept quite clean and is in great shape when compared to other pool halls to be honest so that was a plus. The crowd was nice too, we didn't get that gross grungy feel you do at others. Met a bunch of co-workers there and they refused to give us more than one table for seven people even though there were five empty tables. They stated they already had another "company" onsite and we should have made a reservation. It wasn't a company outing yet they insisted it was policy they leave four tables open for anyone that walked in that wanted a table. After buying two rounds of drinks and arguing at length they "allowed" us to purchase another table for an hour. After we played a few games, we left with seven tables open at the time of departure. The place only has 12 tables. I support hard working folks and small business but the nonsense and lack of common sense of both the staff and whomever is directing them is a joke. I sincerely hope the business owners realize poor policies and lack of training is impacting their profits - if making a buck is actually a goal. read more

This place is a solid location for a quick round of pool that doesn't break the bank. However, it could HEAVILY benefit from a vibe change. If the owners read this, please take this into consideration- currently, the music is mainly pop and dance music, which does not really fit the vibe for a pool hall. People are concentrating on hitting shots or talking to other people as opposed to dancing. From a vibe perspective, it could make more sense to play some chiller music at a lower volume and maybe incorporate some low lights and comfy chairs- this could turn into the best chill hangout spot in southern westchester. read more

As a high school pool hall rat, I was really bummed out when Executive Billiards, in White Plains, closed down. So, when I heard about Hard Luck opening on Post Road, I was excited. I went with a few friends and we had a blast. The tables were nice and well kept, the house cues were great and mostly straight, and clientele was friendly. With COVID going on, there is a bit of weirdness, but overall, fun was had by all. I can't say much about food/snacks, but pool table service was good and fast (for drinks). read more

Came to this place twice to give it a second try. The first time we went there we were told we needed a reservation other wise we can't play. Which is totally understandable as it was a Friday night. As we we leaving, the owner said a table freed up so we decided to stay... we ordered drinks and food it took forever to get it. Most of the order never came. We decided to cancel it just leave and go to another pool hall elsewhere. The second time we went, we decided to call ahead to see if we can reserve a table. We were told no reservations were needed and it's first come first serve. No problem. We get there and ask for a table, we are met with needing to put our names down on a list and there are 5 parties waiting ahead. The owner comes out being super rude looking at us like it was a crazy concept or never had heard of when we had politely asked if there is any way possible we can be contacted when the table freed. He said, " no there is no way we can possibly do that and that we needed to stay the entire time while waiting. We decided to put our name down, but after about 30 mins we had to leave as there was a heavy cloud of smoke because they don't have any vents to capture the smoke from the fried foods they served. Our entire party had to leave as we felt like we were suffocating. Safe to say, we will not be coming back to this establishment which sucks because it would have been a nice addition to White plains. read more

So I called Wednesday to make a reservation for my fiancé's birthday on a Saturday. The person answering told me to call the day of to make the reservation, no problem. I call Saturday and the same kid tells me now I can't make one because they can't hold tables, I asked why I was told the opposite and it was back and forth and then all of a sudden the manager would do it but they usually don't, so I left my name for a 9 pm for two tables, 10-15 people and they said see you later. Then they call back because they need a credit card, which I understand but I asked how much was a deposit or hold, the kid didn't know, I said why would I give you my info for a amount unknown. He proceeded to tell me I'll be charged for an hour for 15 people for two tables starting at 8pm. I asked why he said they have to hold the tables for the hour to ensure we have them. Which makes no sense because what you're doing at 8 you can certainly do at 9 and let anyone on the table know a party is coming in. He was unsure and said the manager would call back at 7. Who didn't, I had to call him and he said he has to hold them the hour before and charge me 20 a table. At this time I didn't care my fiancé wanted to play pool. I also asked if everyone can make their own tab so I don't run up my card and the manager said absolutely. As we get there he tells me he only charged 20 instead of 40 which was nice they were very welcoming, the waitress was awesome but over worked. A few of our guests were asking to purchase drinks or food on their own tabs and the manager told them to put it on the pool table tab( my card). After a goodnight we saw the bill, we were double charged for things and all on my bill because he told our guests to put it on the tab. The manager also proceeded to tell me he didn't tell any of my guests to put their orders on the pool table tab so he directly lied to my face. I will NEVER go here again or recommend this place to anyone it was a nightmare from the start. If it had different management possibly The waitress and bartender were great though. read more

I thought it was OK because I don't know better but my friend thought they were uptight. He plays more often than I do. They told him not to lean on the other pool table when I was shooting and he was hardly touching it. This happened twice. Just annoying. A normal poolhall has a more relaxed atmosphere. It is definitely a clean place though. Each table has a sanitized sign and they clean the balls after every use. But there may be better places to go depending on what you are looking for. read more

Don't patronize; absolutely the most unreasonable business policy. A group of 8 of us from three states were meeting here after a change of plans. They wouldn't let us reserve two tables for that same day because they didn't do reservations under 48 hours. mind you this was for 4pm on a Friday afternoon. we walked in and 75% of the place was not in use! They wouldn't give us two adjacent tables because we were a "party= two or more tables" and didn't reserve 48 hours in advance. So the intentionally split us up four or five tables away. We rolled our eyes at their ridiculous and unwavering policy. So instead of two hour rental of two tables, and. ordering drinks and food for 8 people, we limited ours let to one hour and nothing extra. I be this place is out of business in a year. read more

Female manager denied me and an entire group of 21+ because she "didn't feel comfortable" serving us yet NEVER stated that she believed us to be underage or having faulty identification. She DID NOT ID any of us when we ordered our drinks. Not to mention it was my friends 21st birthday! She also sat at the bar basically pretending to be a customer and ignored us when we arrived. Pool tables are nice however I've been there three times and every time they have added extra drinks to my tab. I then had to point it out to them and they took them off. They try to over charge you by not giving you an itemized receipt and hope you won't notice. read more

This is a cool place my boyfriend found on google. It just opened in white plains and I have nothing negative to say. The prices are pretty reasonable and it's very clean. They offer happy hour from 12-7 Monday through Friday and the customer Service was great. Would definitely come back! read more

Had the pleasure of playing here before new years with a 6 person group. The pool tables are brand new and the pool cues are great / not warped. The staff is very nice and attentive and will even bring drinks over to your table for large orders. The owners were also present and chatted with everybody.
