I usually love this place but St pats was a huge disappointment. We were there on the Sunday and sat upstairs. Upstairs was quieter and we had a nice waitress. We started with Irish nachos which were really tasty! We were so excited for traditional Irish food. We ordered the corned beef and cabbage, a couple of rubens and a shepherds pie. The shepherds pie was 3 inches high with potato and had a scoop of gravy on top? Maybe because it was all potato and barely had 1/4 inch of a runny beef gravy inside. A really sad version of a shepherds pie. The corned beef and cabbage was a pathetic looking dish with giant potatoes, Half a cabbage, and a sad portion of corned beef for $23! The Ruben's were only half filled with meat, and a small portion at that on one side of the sandwich. We were all disappointed with our meals and couldn't believe an Irish restaurant would serve such low quality food on St. Patrick's Day! Other restaurants had All you can eat corn beef specials for $17.95 and this is what we got for $23! See picture. it was mass-produced and just thrown together and it was evident! An Irish bar that has lost their identity trying to accommodate every audience. When asked to describe what type of place this is, the staff described it as an "Irish American Family Restaurant". You walk in to a nice bar with high tops on one side and booths on the other. There are some families a In the booths. Their menu is primarily dominated by American pub food such as sliders, burgers, Rueben and wraps. For Irish food, they have corned beef & cabbage, and shepherds pie. Their Guinness tasted a bit bitter which I was told means that they will need to change the keg soon. Ok I can go with that because the bartender let me switch to a Sam seasonal which was perfect (temperature and pour). Bartenders 10/10 I got the Guinness Beef Stew special which was ok but not spectacular. Bartenders are a solid 10/10 Food 5/10 (average) Identity 4/10 (looks and sounds Irish but missed the Irish mark) Overall not bad for drinks but not worth the aggravation of finding a tight spot a few blocks away when you can go to the Irish Bank in Hartsdale that has a parking garage next door. I rated their veggie burger very good last time, 2 years ago, but seems like the place went down the hill. Had very bad experience tonight. It was 32F outside and the place had no heat, it was freezing in there. Food got cold within few minutes. The veggie burger I ordered didn't have pickle on a side like it used to have , neither it had cold slaw, the bun was old and chewy. No good. But my biggest disappointment was Mac and cheese. It said in the menu, "herb crusted Mac and cheese" we got velveeta $3.99 a box Mac and cheese. Why would they serve velveeta Mac and cheese? What a disappointment. Never again. read more

We have been there 3 times in the last 2 months. The first time was very good, the second time we went specifically for burgers. They were terribly dry. Not sure if they just put frozen burgers on the grill. The third time we had fish and chips. The amount of fish was huge, however it was not cooked properly. Instead of being crispy, it was very soggy and the food came out cold. The place was extremely busy so maybe that was it. The service people however, were very nice. Can't say enough about that. Very accommodating. I think they have to slow down and cook the food properly, even when busy. Hope this review is taken constructively. read more

We just had one of the best gatherings of folks ever. The private space upstairs at Mickey Spillane's is perfect. The space is open and airy. Our group was about 50 and there was plenty of space both inside and out. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Loretta was on point to make sure the event was perfect. Pricing was fair and delivered on what they promised. You know many times it doesn't matter where you are but that it is the people you hang with that make it special. I can tell you that this is true, but having the right local makes it even better. Mickey Spillane's is just that place. Low key and relaxing helps to hold down the drama and allows everyone to relax in a comfortable place. Can't speak more highly about our time here and look forward to coming back soon. read more

I ordered the steak fajita and on a tenderness scale the meat was somewhere between shoe leather and used tire. I complained to the waitress who was polite and graciously offered something else. By this time I'd lost my appetite so I said just give me one slider and we're good. She brought me a slider that looked like it was made from dog food and didn't taste much better. Great place for food and drinks in Eastchester. The Upstairs open air dining area is really nice during summer. We had salads and the best chips and guacamole we've ever had outside of California - all freshly made. The place is a huge social gathering spot on weekends and more calm and manageable during the weekdays or early evenings so you can pick what sort of atmosphere you're looking for. Two years back I opened a tab at the mamaroneck location to "make it easier" on the bartender, even though I was only having one drink. When I went to close out, they handed me someone else's card with a similar-ish last name, and I realized that they gave away my credit card to someone else. When I told them, it wasn't my tab, the bartender looked very annoyed at me and shrugged it off. I asked, "so how does this work? What am I going to be charged for?" Instead of apologizing or offering any explanation, he started ignoring me. I got his attention one more time to give the wrong card back, and ask again what I should do about my tab and my missing card. Then he switched into "you are a belligerent jerk customer" mode (I had one drink) and acted like this was my fault. So, fast forward a few years, I still never leave my card with any of their locations. The bartenders get very visibly angry, and I buy two rounds of three or so drinks and close my card out two times. They always have a comment on that like "close it out...again!?!". I now only go here when it's absolutely necessary like a work function or something (westchester lacks options). The food is mediocre. Best to avoid this place. It's sort of a dive. read more

My mom loved these nachos so much (and she said that Dad loves em too...he does). And we had just 5 chicken wings. Keep in mind that we don't like too much spice when I say that most things we had had at least a bit of heat to them. Bartender was very nice. Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls were possibly one of the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. And the "cheese" sauce on the side was even worse, like they mixed melted cheese with russian dressing and were like....mmm, perfect. Gross. Mickey Spillanes was once a welcoming, convenient, and delicious spot to grab a bite with friends or family. But over the past few years, the service, quality of food, and friendly vibe of the place have all gone dangerously downhill. I visited Mickey's twice this past month for the first time in a while-expecting the same old Mickey's I was used to. Unfortunately, I could not be more gravely mistaken. First of all, the "service" was nonexistent. I am not even sure we were given one specific server either time I was there. As someone who also works in the service industry, I understand servers can become incredibly busy and may not have time to chat with their table- especially if the establishment is packed. However, Mickeys was not NEAR packed and our server(s?) almost never came back to our table. This made something as simple as placing our entree order very difficult. Granted, our entrees were served quickly; but with the steep price of disgusting, inedible food. The "Galway Bay" fish and chips were drier than the Sahara Desert and the Baja fish tacos were impressively flavorless and again- extremely dry. To top it off, after we stopped trying to eat our flavorless, dry entrees, one of the employees asked us to get out to open up the table- something I have never been asked in all my years as a Mickey's customer or at any other establishment. Lesson learned- its best to stay far away from the probably freezer burned, frozen fish, and this overrated place entirely. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go to watch a game. The bar is quite large, there are plenty of tvs and the staff is always wonderful. The food is great. They have a good pub menu with standards such as nachos, quesadillas, shepards pie, burgers and such. They also have a great selection of sliders. The specials are usually very good too. We try to go once a week or so, especially in the winter as I'm a huge Devils fan and the girlfriend loves the Rangers. The staff gets a kick out of us yelling at eachother. My favs are the shepards pie which is great on a cold night and the buffalo chicken sliders, which are great anytime. Wash that down with a nice cold beer or a good cocktail and there is nothing better. read more

A welcoming and friendly local watering hole. Came here with my brother to enjoy a few pre-dinner drinks. The wraparound bar is very expensive with a minimum of 15 taps and a wide selection of spirits in their full bar. While I did not eat anything, I was told the food there is quite good so that will give me a reason to return. The bartenders were all extremely friendly and very polite. Bathrooms are clean.
