The Hard Rock Café is in the heart of Hollywood and Highland, right where all the tourist attractions are to be exact. I was there attending a private event which was well organized. It was Game show night, and we were ready for the entertainment. The staff members were friendly with attentive service. Our waitress was very pleasant and brought out our drinks and food in a timely manner despite being a full house and tons of people to be served. Upon walking in, you enter their retail store/merchandise area first. You will see they are fans of the FIFA world cup and have plenty of jerseys for sale. They also have their own merch "Hard Rock Café" for sale. Then, you head further in, and you will see the tables for seating some at the top and the rest at the bottom floor. Dimmed lights and music playing in the background. They also host live music by the appearance of music instruments, drums, etc. If you go on their website, you will see their weekly schedule of events, including happy hour M-F 3-6pm. There is parking at the Ovation lot (formerly known as hollywood and highland) then you can walk to the restaurant. They offer a full bar, food bites, entrees, shareable dishes, etc. It is a very lively spot especially right now with the soccer games. I came here a day early thinking that I had an event here LOL!! Because the staff was so sweet and kind and made me feel at home I decided to stay and have a burger and a Coke. Great vibe, lovely atmosphere, especially all the rock 'n' roll memorabilia all over the place, definitely will be back!! If you're a tourist, you might have a fine time here. We live right down the street and figured we should give it a try after seeing a movie at Grauman's. Got it out of our system - we would not come back here. It's a dark, high-ceilinged, windowless space with an open view of the kitchen. Black, dark purple, gloomy vibe. You'll either smell old fryer grease wafting from the kitchen whilst at your table or urinal cakes from the restrooms as you check out the rock memorabilia on the walls. The server was performative and friendly. The drinks were good - we tried the "legendary" hurricane and an Electric Blues. The hurricane had perfect flavour, and the other one was tart and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the BBQ platter with ribs, pulled pork, fries, beans, and coleslaw. The ribs were just okay - not dry, but not fall-off-the-bone tender. The BBQ sauce is pretty good, so the pork was enjoyable. The beans tasted weird - we did not like the taste and they were left untouched after two bites. The slaw was fine. The fries seemed overly battered and weren't great. Sauces other than ketchup are an upcharge. I ordered the fried chicken sliders, as the regular chicken sandwiches and the burgers all sounded basic. The sliders were supposed to have jalapeño coleslaw, pickles, and hot honey - it sounded like the spiciest and most flavourful offering. They were AWFUL. They were probably one of the worst things I have ever ordered at a restaurant. They used dark meat, which tasted gross and looked unappetising. The slaw was not spicy at all, and contained basil which dominated the flavours. The pickles tasted funny. I didn't detect one drop of honey, hot or otherwise. I don't know if they are always this bad or if it was because my order came out wrong (I was first served the regular chicken sandwich), and when I sent it back, they just slopped the sliders together. I still feel nauseated every time I think about them. If you're intent on coming here, I don't even know what I'd suggest ordering - certainly not meat. While the BBQ sauce was okay, if you're from a state that knows authentic BBQ, this ain't gonna impress you. Maybe just drink your meal and stick with their cocktails. read more

Parking options are quite limited -- either side streets with meters or nearby parking structures, including Ovation (though validation doesn't apply here). Stop by with some family who was visiting from Memphis they love the vibe of the restaurants seeing all of the artifacts on the walls. The wait time was ridiculous. Came thru the back entrance after attending an event at the Dolby Theatre. Closest eatery to the Dolby, so we popped. Has a lot of shareable like mini sliders on the menu, but de idea to go with the bbq pulled pork and fries. Fries were cold 2/5 the sandwich was built nicely and had onion straws and pickle chips in it so gave the sandwich a nice crunch. I liked the light bbq sauce, not the thick kind..or molasses-y...you couldn't actually see the bbq sauce but you could taste it. 4/5 My friend liked her salmon dinner. She saved half for later and said "you can't ruin salmon". 5/5 Big props to the atmosphere. It was loud modern hip and lots of memorabilia to look at. Fun place. It's been awhile since we came to have dinner at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe. We arrived on 10-4-24 to eat before we saw the Joker sequel next door at the TCL IMAX theatre. We had a good time with our food and the service was great. I had diablo burger which was good and tasty along with french fries. Our server was Janay and she was awesome. I live a few blocks away and never thought to come in being it's a crowded tourist area. I saw pictures of their burgers and rhe prices weren't bad for a burger with fries. It's LA. I can't attest to any of the other food. I would probably not order ribs or steak and such from a place like this. But I had "The Diablo Burger". It's is very good. I tried the All American burger (I think it was called) and nothing to write home about. I've had the Diablo Burger 3 times and it has never let me down. I do want to say the staff is excellent. Servers are very personable without being cringe. My guess is you have to have a certain personality to serve and likely quite a few aspiring actors. It's a good option if you are out of town and can be assured reasonable prices and decent food overall. But, the Diable Burger is a favorite. read more

Back in August we went walking around after coming from Sj to make funeral arrangements in LA, for a bite and some drinks. Before we picked up the drinks there was lipstick on it. I told the bartender if he can remake it bc the glass was dirty w not my lips. He refused, and I said it's not my fault I was served a dirty glass. Service is exceptional, They charge for everything like ranch for my fries is an extra dollar for each one. The food is of the same quality as Golden Corral.Their menu is pretty simple I had the steak and asked for well done , it was so "Well Done" I had to use my grandpa denatures to bite through it and the alcoholic drinks don't quite taste like any alcohol. From the two young hosts walking into what felt like a department store (their gift shop in front of the restaurant entrance), to our waiterS (we had two because one disappeared for quite a while), everyone seemed very eager to help us. We did run into a couple problems: the $7.50 strawberry lemonade my friend ordered never arrived and once our food and condiments arrived we were totally abandoned for a loooong time by Steven, our main waiter. When he FINALLY came out to deliver the bill to the table (after we were contemplating leaving because we were ignored so long) and the aggressive (trying to literally take glasses and plates from our hands while we're still using them), non-verbal (not a single word) table busser went to get him for us, Steven seemed bothered and in a rush. I asked him where he disappeared to and he said he ran into a ton of problems with food and customers. I said we didn't appreciate being held captive by his ridiculously long absence and we were going to order dessert but now we just wanted to go home (it was after midnight. He tried to get me to talk to a manager who could "hook us up" for our next visit but we live far away and weren't interested in yet another time delaying conversation. It was already a frustrating end to what started as a pretty positive experience. They get five stars because the food was that good and everyone except for Steven and militant bus boy did their jobs perfectly. If I were in the area I would return for the food (delicious double cheeseburger and fries but yum), and just hope for better service once we received our food. after an event at the Dolby theater, my husband and i decided to try the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood. we had to wait at the bar which was no big deal for about 25 minutes. we finally got out table. we orders the chicken wings which were delicious. we then ordered the duo beef and chicken fajitas. they were quite bland. disappointing. we left. however, we we arrived home which was a 40 minute drive, I became quite ill. I threw up. the toast was bell peppers. my husband did the same a few hours later. My husband called the restaurant the next day to inform the situation. But it steered they didn't care. only to respond they would inform the chef. needless to say we will not go there ever again, or recommend it to anyone. read more

We came in and gave our name to the host to be seated and were told it would be about 15 min. No problem. About a half hour later we were finally walked to our table. Passing empty table after table and we noticed the restaurant was maybe a third to half full at best. So why did it take so long to seat us? Are they short staffed, or are they not on their game? Who knows, but we were finally seated and were dying of thirst. It took about ten minutes for someone to come up and introduce themselves as our server and take our order. We got the drinks fairly quickly but the food took about another half hour to come out. We only ordered burgers so we were confused on that as well. The food is ok, not bad but nothing to write home about. It was pretty expensive for the portions and taste but we figured as much considering the location and they have a nice store up front to buy all the Hard Rock logo'd gear, which we did purchase some. Today was my first visit here, I came with my in laws a party of 9. We were told there would be a 20 min wait then they said there was a miscommunication and it would be a 45 min wait. After calling a few parties to sit before us we were seated. Our waiter was a curly haired short boy name Steven, he had a condescending tone and I sensed that for some odd reason their staff was either racist or spiteful or both because our food literally took almost an hour to arrive to our table let alone a few of our plates of food were cold. Steven was stand offish and failed to bring a straw for my sister in law who had asked more than once for it and not once asked how we were doing with our meal.
