    Flatbread Buffalo chicken pizza
    Susan B.

Friend we're up from PA and we could not find a place open. This place is always packed in the summer and does well off season. We were definitely not impressed. It was extremely loud (for mid week) and served pub style food. One meal was a flatbread pizza that was drenched in "franks" hot sauce. I was assuming buffalo chicken would Have been Buffalo but nope. Then there was a Boston larger burger which wasn't too bad except the beer cheese (sort of like velvita with beer mixed in) really ruined the sandwich. Classic burger was just that and lastly was the double Philly dog. Over cooked and the potato tots were hard. Sorry that this wasn't the impression of good food while Taking friends out for dinner. Cost just under $100 and no alcoholic beverages We'll leave this place to the biker crowd.

This is a great family friendly local hangout that includes a nice outside venue. The menu has an ample selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, tacos & dinner entrees all reasonably priced. They make awesome drinks as well as having a good craft beer selection. The bartenders are polite & friendly...luv ya Kristine! I give a solid 4 stars...so give them shot & Enjoy!

My husband and I stopped here on our way from Boston to Conway. Loved the vibe and the service. The food was amazing! We will definitely stop back by here if we are ever in the area.

Stopped in this place for a Summer Ale. So awesome!! Huge outdoor space with live music and plenty of seating. The Mountain View's are spectacular! They have indoor seating as well. The burgers looked delicious but did not have one. Will have to try one soon though. Family oriented. Young & old. If you're ever in Ossipee Maine, definitely a place you want to visit.

The fries were acceptable. The meatball parm sub, not.

Ossipee has very few dinner dining choices, and Harley Jack's was our only option within reasonable driving distance last evening. We pulled in, hoping that our experience would be better than our last miserable one, over 4 1/2 years ago. I should have read my own review! Unbelievably, it was worse! We seated ourselves in the large north side dining room, favoring its regular tables and chairs and the quieter atmosphere away from the bar crowd. The makeover since our last visit was nice, and our table was clean. Our waitress was prompt and pleasant. I ordered the half BBQ chicken, and my wife the meatball parm sub with fries. Five minutes later, the waitress returned to inform me that they were out of the chicken, so I opted for the pulled pork taco with cole slaw and corn bread. Read that and take a picture in your mind. Click. A taco, cole slaw, and corn bread. Our dinners arrived within what would have been a reasonable 15 minutes for good food, but not for the hastily prepared (no polite word comes to mind) that was presented. The waitress gave us our little plastic wrapped napkin and flimsy plastic ware; the sort that you get on an economy airline. How nifty. My order resembled no taco that I have ever eaten in my life, and it certainly didn't fit the picture I had drawn in my mind of what a taco, cole slaw and corn bread looks like. I beheld before me what appeared to be a casserole of sorts in a distorted (used?) aluminum takeout container. My flimsy little fork dove into the most disgusting thing that I can ever remember ever being served in my entire life. Ice cold taco sauce was squiggled atop luke warm cole slaw. Yuck. Under that was a somewhat warmer 1/2 inch layer of processed, gooey meat mush, about the same consistency as Chef Boyardee ravioli filling; not at all strands of pulled pork. Beneath it all was oily, soggy grits posing as my corn bread. A shepherds pie made of entirely incompatible layers of bad food, improperly cooked. I mean, we're talking about bacteria haven. Q: What dim mind conceived of layering cold cole slaw on top of pre-masticated luke warm meat, with soggy, oily corn meal at the bottom? A: The same one that would dress it with refrigerated taco sauce and serve it in an aluminum takeout tray. My complaint to the waitress for my inedible meal was met with argument and half off the price. "It is pulled pork!" Not acceptable. My wife's meatball parm sub consisted of lukewarm, breadcrumb laden, mealy, untextured, tasteless store bought frozen meatballs covered with cheap, tasteless cheese, on a soggy sub roll and cheap marinara sauce. Thankfully, Ore Ida makes half decent frozen fries. I really hope this place is put out of business so it can be occupied by a good restauranteur. I will not make the same mistake thrice.

Views from the tables. Sorry I didn't get the food I was hungry as hell. Also view looks better in person.

We stopped by for lunch. The place was warm with great Mountain View's. It was cold and snowy so we ate inside but the large windows made it easy to enjoy the views while staying warm and comfortable. The service was great staff is prompt, polite and easy going. The restaurant is clean and it was a good vibe to it. Rock classics playing, sports on TV the causal background noise of friends having good conversations. The food, well I wish I had stopped to take a picture but I was hungry as hell. So I dove right in. I got a BLT Hotdog and my wife got a Reuben with a side of coleslaw. The BLT hotdog was on point. It was perfect 1/4 lbs of beef hotdog. With diced tomatoes on top on a bed of lettuce and a strip of crispy bacon. Better yet it was on a New England style hotdog roll that was buttered and grilled. Not those lame sub roll you get usually with these larger hotdogs. Messing up the golden ratio of Bread/Hotdog/Toppings. It came with a side of wavy potato chips. Perfection. 10/10 would eat that again. The Ruben was great, bread was also buttered and toasted, a good ratio of more corned beef than bread/sauerkraut. We got some desert to go. And are happy with our visit. Highly recommend.

The view from the back deck dining area.

After driving 40 minutes we arrived 10 minutes early as they don't open until 430; no problem ,they saw us in the parking lot and waved us in. Unusual as most places guard the door to the second. They sat us immediately, and introduced us to our server Alyssa ,who turned out to be the most knowledgeable , professional person we have ever met. And we have been dining out and working in the industry for many years! The fun began; my wife ordered her Filet Mignon and I asked Alyssa what she recommended , shocking me she said The Skirt Steak with marbled potatoes with the empanadas as an appetizer. I was certain she would have said the Porterhouse or Tomahawk to upsell us but she was spot on as it was incredibly tender and flavorful . In summary it was the most delightful fine dining experience we have ever enjoyed! Thank you Alyssa and your incredible chefs and fellow servers for unforgettable 56 anniversary dinner!

We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so decided on the mixed grill for 2, with mashed potatoes and fires on the side. We started with the focaccia bread and oil dressing that were very good. We also got the enchiladas, one spicy cheese and the other beef. These were okay, nothing crazy but enjoyable. However, the mixed grill was simply not worth the money. The sausage was over cooked, strip steak flavorless and the long short ribs were tough. The chicken was okay, but nothing better than anywhere else I've had grilled chicken before. Our waitress Jennifer was amazing. And when she asked how our experience was, she could see by the lack of food we had eaten, and the expression on my face, we were not impressed. We ended our meal with the tres leches cake that was very good. Overall, this place is a gimmicky tourist trap that over charges for their "atmosphere" and prays you get drunk off their $250 wine before you order. I thought for sure it would be decent, and was wrong. I would hate to see the quality in peak tourist season. Leaving hungry was not something I imagined.

Unfortunately for us, The Oak Room fell far from the tree family. Upon entering the vintage estate, you are met by 5/5 ambience and a truly enticing looking dining experience. This is the point where our dining experience peaked. Read on if you want the full tea. In a nutshell, our evening was a series of disappointments painted onto a theme of incredibly slow service. Regarding the service, at the 1:40 mark past arrival, we had still not received our entrees. We watched all the tables around us wait and wait for their checks, only to have to finally request the check. It was not busy. My small 6oz water glass sat empty most of our 2+ hours there. With how salty our food was, this wasn't good. Service 2/5. For the food, 4/5. We ordered the beet salad hors d'oeuvres, which was perfect. An amazing plate. The butternut squash soup was incredibly sweet and not what we expected. Tasted like 50/50 squash/brown sugar. The duck entree and tenderloin steak were quite good, but not memorable. $65 for 6oz steak and no side. Was the crust of the side bread salted? Was the steak actually salted? Hm. More water please. Now the intangibles. Weird intangibles. So during this 1:40 waiting for the entree, I spilled my red wine and unfortunately my wife had a white shirt on. ‍ Good thing it wasn't a first date! A little while later a man walks up to our table and says Hi. Hi we say. My wife and I glance at each other, both thinking "who the hell is this?" Normal clothes, no name tag. Next he asks how was our food? Oh ok, manager or owner. Good to know. Well, we hadn't received our food yet and took the opportunity to ask if we could have it. Oh yeah, he looks at my wife's wine covered shirt and says "I see you have plenty of wine" and asks me if I would like to order another glass of wine. Did the owner just make fun of us for spilling wine and ruining a shirt? Yes he did. For the inconvenience of sitting there with no entree and rarely water for 1:40, they offered to reduce the check. They took off the glass of wine that I didn't get to drink. Throughout all this, I'm sitting in a broken chair that keeps catching my sweater and causing a snag. Overall, our experience was 2/5. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I'll rate it 3/5. If I want to spend 2 hours spending $200 and getting made fun of by a restaurant manager, I'll be back. If not, I'll go elsewhere next time.
