The brisket was awesome. The biscuits were tender and flaky The service was fast and it's a family run restaurant. And the Christmas tree is nice.

Ok so I love the food, ambiance, and presentation of Harleys plates! Food is always cooked well the sourdough is made in house and delicious, great value for portion size in my opinion and consistently delicious not a hit or miss spot. Also lots of hot sauce options available right at the table- staff are quick overall attentive to needs of all tables they are running, and i cant help but keep this place in a rotation. At least twice a month sometimes more. The only reason that i cant give 5 stars is pretty serious 7 out of the last 10 times myself and/or my family have gone we have been over charged for things we did not order and EVERY TIME it is with a very specific wait person. I will not call them out by name here but what i will say is it is a specific issue only happening with this particular person we are ordering with every time it happens - I ALWAYS check my receipt for actual charges before signing and ask for a receipt when i leave because it is a constant issue. We are talking about being charged 4 coffees when there is only 1 at the table- even being charged 30+ dollars for a mug? When confronted about the false charge to our tab it's always a " i hit the wrong button" or just an eye roll and quick fix response. If we didn't like the food so much we would never be back so i do hope that everyone is aware to ALWAYS check the tab for accuracy and if it gets addressed by everyone that is targeted hopefully this person will stop doing it.

We went for lunch and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the server was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was very clean. A spot to recommend.

Can't believe I've never come here before! Delicious Comfort food! Good menu selection for breakfast as we were craving brunch! Perfect portions for the price. Service was prompt and friendly. Very clean, organized space, with cute dining tables and booths. Digging the dim lighting from the old "Thyme" looking light fixtures.

The food was amazing. Possibly the first time i ate everything on the plate. The service was decent they were nice and polite and asked if everything good, and the place was decently quiet and clean asides from a TV and a few chatters from the back. But overall this is a great experience.

We have Always passed by this place not sure why ? It is the Best Hole in the wall place in Anchorage! It sounds American but it is definitely Spanish influenced. We have been looking for a great breakfast place since Granny B went missing and this is the spot. Not only do they have the best Chicken Fried Steak but they have 4 different kinds of them. The service was on point and the coffee was bold and strong. Huevos Rancheros with chorizo was sooo savory it made my mouth water just by looking at it. This is our new go to for breakfast with the place making you feel right at home every time you come. Thank you Guys for making this a Que bueno desayuno café para mi esposo y yo!

I haven't dined inside in a few years. I do recall Harley's having their beautiful coffee mugs for sale. I recently ordered brunch by way of Doordash and wow, wow, wow! Harleys definitely exceeded our expectations. Their brisket breakfast is a must! So much meat, tender and flavorful. Their biscuits and gravy were the best we've had to date. The biscuit tasted fresh out of the oven. The gravy was perfect in consistency and taste. Harleys hot wings were surprisingly delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our fresh chicken salads. Highly recommend Harleys.

Walked in around 8 AM to a ghost town A couple of customers were already seated but no employees in site. Sat around in the waiting area reading the menu for a couple of minutes I got up and helped myself to a table and *POOF* employees showed up from nowhere. Now the food Steak fingers were 4/5 It started great but got saltier as I ate but the white gravy on the side helped it out edges were how I wanted them. Everything on the plate worked well together Service 4/5 Food 4/5 Overall 4/5 Will be back

Really solid "hole in the wall" diner in Midtown. First time visitor to Anchorage, and saw this place along the way. The coffee was solid and they kept bringing in often. The pancake special with bacon between the cakes was very large, and I really couldn't finish. For a diner, they do a nice job and it was comfortably busy. Def. would return if I'm in town again.

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

It was perfect timing since I had no idea where I wanted to go for lunch during my break. Main Event Grill is located behind Mr. Prime Beef off of 76th Ave and Old Seward Hwy in a non-descript shopping center that houses a bookstore and a bingo hall. This building made local news a few winters ago when the ceiling at the gym in the back caved in from an excess amount of snow that closed down all the businesses temporarily including Main Event. Fortunately, the roof was fully repaired and reinforced before all the tenants returned to work full-time. The dining room is modest size with a good amount of chairs and tables, but they have expanded their space to include an adjoining dining area for sizable parties or events. The girl at the front counter is always friendly when I come by to pick up an order. My recent order was the Garlic Burger with a side salad and blue cheese. I placed the order online and the wait was conveniently a few short minutes by the time I arrived. The Garlic Burger (roasted garlic, garlic cream sauce, and provolone cheese) is easily one of my favorite burgers in town. The burger was so delicious and you will have no trouble repelling vampires and your fellow co-workers once you return from lunch. I only wish they would make buffalo wings fried with diced garlic rather than the usual garlic parmesan variety you see around town. (The fried garlic buffalo wings was something I encountered at a sports bar I visited in North Palm Beach, FL several years ago.) At one point, they did have wings but the owner has decided to drop them from the main menu as chicken wings have gotten more expensive to place an inventory order over time. Fortunately, there are plenty of great options to pick from aside from the aforementioned Garlic Burger. Some of the items I tried from previous visits include the Reuben Grilled Cheese sandwich (Boar's Head pastrami, sweet relish, sauerkraut, Swiss and provolone cheese), the Blackened Chicken Salad (spring mix greens, feta cheese, bacon, craisins, and strawberry-rhubarb vinaigrette), the Deep Fried Halibut Burger (Alaskan halibut with pineapple coleslaw, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, and their Awesome Sauce), Animal Style Tots with bacon jam, nacho cheese, and Awesome Sauce, and their Peanut Butter Cheesecake (peanut butter pie filled with Reese's Pieces, chocolate, and peanut butter mousse). A 24-hour notice is required for catering and office party orders. There are featured discounts on their menu items and rotating specials with items not seen regularly on the menu shown on their website. Main Event is a solid choice for a creative burger and they also participate in the Food Truck Carnival from time to time as well as the State Fair.

Seating is made up of booths along the window perimeter, tables thru the middle area and a large bar area with more tables and stools along the counter. The menu selection is surprisingly diverse. I was happy to see halibut as the fish for their fish & chips, as it is often cod or other white fish. I find halibut to be the best. They also have a few dishes with nods to Korean and Thai flavors. There are pizzas and dinner salads too. I went with their bacon jam burger for dinner. It is cooked to your liking and has a grilled apple, cambozola, bacon jam, arugula & house mayo. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. The flavors complement each other so well. If you are a fan of bleu cheese you will really love the cambozola. It is creamy and oozy and is amazing on a burger. My spouse tried their Cuban sandwich and didn't like that the pickles were mediocre and didn't add to the overall flavors, and that the bread wasn't crisped or toasted in any way -- the way Cubans traditionally are. He also took a chance with a appetizer off the specials menu which he imaged was Brussels sprouts however it was shaved sautéed Brussels sprout leaves, over warm couscous with lots of fresh herbs, jalapeños, and heavily spiced with bold spices like fennel. It was bizarre and not like anything we've ever tried. We liked some of the flavors but all together didn't make sense to us so we sent it back, unfortunately. Our child tried the Mac and cheese that came with purple grapes and sorbet. The Mac and cheese was good although I'd advise SRH to try a larger noodle than a small shell so kids can stab it better and get it in their little mouths. The sorbet must be seasonal/rotating bc it was cinnamon honey pear and it was crazy delicious. I'd come back for just the sorbet tbh. Other than that our red-haired bespectacled server was fairly attentive and quite friendly, even on a very busy Friday dinner rush. Parking lot just outside seems easy enough as long as you can grab a spot at busy times. Will be back in the future for the fried halibut (and sorbet!).
