The uni pasta is the bomb!!! We enjoyed everything we ordered, fish tasted fresh. Parking is tricky in this strip mall, with multiple restaurants nearby. Can't wait to come back!

Bluefin tuna sashimi and Salmon Sashimi

Arrived right when they opened at 5:30pm to a nearly empty restaurant. As a sushi connoisseur, I was scared. This place came highly recommended and it was Phenomenal. Best sashimi in San Diego hands down. Not only fresh but large pieces so you really get what you pay for. The yellowtail crudo on the specials menu was my favorite. Overall, would skip the rolls to save money for the fresh sashimi and Nigiri. The ambiance was great, everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

UPDATE! I've been coming here for awhile now and love it. At this point I've tried several things off their menu and now coming here as one of my go-to spots. NIGIRI - their fish here is incredible fresh and good. Some of their offerings can be local or from Japan such as their uni. UNI PASTA ($35) - the size of their uni pasta for that dollar is kind of small. I've had several variations of uni pasta and will say their uni pasta has been the best I've tasted. The uni they put in their pasta is Uni from San Diego (not from Japan) though Uni from Japan has overall a better flavor if talking about In specifically. The pasta is so creamy and garnished with saffron. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YUZU-HAMA ($24) - Yellowtail, snow crab, avocado, cucumber, Asian mix, lemon slice, and yuzu ponzu. this is my favorite speciality roll here and I always order it. The crab is real snow crab - none of that imitation stuff. It's easy to take, nothing too fishy and nothing too citrisy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUNMAI DAIGINJO BLACK LABEL ($43/300ml) - Pure organic sake. I like my sake either dry or floral and delicate and this one was recommended as tonight I was feeling floral and delicate. I think we got about 8-10 shots out of the bottle. Although served room temperature, It was really good and easy to shoot back. HOGHLY RECOMMEND PANNA COTTA ($10) - 3 flavors - vanilla, matcha, chocolate. They came in mini glasses and not as custard or silky as I like my panna cotta but still a nice treat to wrap up dinner. I'd say this might be the best option of the desserts. RECOMMEND Love this place and will always be back...

Belly! Yellowtail, salmon, and tuna bellies

A convoy st spot tucked into a strip mall, like most restaurants on this street, the parking lot is usually overrun and difficult to find a spot in. Prepare for people circling. This is a high quality sushi spot with items being a bit on the pricier side. I do feel like it's a good value for the quality here. I started off with the sashimi belly melts. Yellowtail, salmon, and tuna belly, each piece was a good size, melted in my mouth like butter. So incredible. Definitely recommend this item. I also tried the salmon fresh roll and just a normal tuna roll. Salmon fresh roll was a bit underwhelming here. Salmon didn't really standout - texturally or flavor wise. The roll was sitting on some sort of sauce or liquid and it actually was soaking into the rice causing the bottom of the roll to fall out. It didn't really hold together and made it hard to eat. The tuna roll was standard, nothing crazy. Something in the roll was very crunchy, maybe the cucumber or something else. Little contrasting crunch is nice, but this was honestly too much that I lost the tuna. Service was good, clearing our plates quickly and refilling water. Though oddly we were missing soy sauce dishes and our soy sauce container was almost empty and we had to request for more. Pacing was a bit off with the different rolls we ordered taking quite some time in between. Would have preferred for them to come close to the same time, wait staff was apologetic, but still takes the craft here down just a notch. I enjoyed it overall and would come back. But I feel maybe this would be better experienced as omakase or some of the higher end stuff on the menu. For just normal rolls, I don't think the quality stood out for the price.

Went here for NYE dinner and this place did not disappoint. Came in a little early, before my reservation, and was able to get seated at the bar. The interior decor was stunning, warm and chic. As I was waiting for my food, they were offering complimentary NYE wine and it was tasty. I started off with the lobster chowder. It was rich, creamy and super flavorful. Then I got the wagyu risotto...WOW. It was the perfect blend of juicy meat and melt in your mouth risotto. If you love risotto, I definitely recommend. When deciding which sushi roll to get, it was a no brainer I'd get the yellow magic roll because it was topped with truffle --- anything truffle is chef's kiss. This roll was another flavorful roll and was super delicious. To end the night, I got the dragonfruit sorbet. If you're looking for a yummy sushi spot that isn't crowded, quiet and has easy parking, I highly recommend this spot!

My husband and I have dined here twice, once for a late lunch on a Saturday and an early dinner on a Tuesday. We sat at the sushi bar both times and had excellent food and service. We happened to be in the area on Tuesday and made reservations within 15 minutes and were able to get a great seat. We started with the UKA sake tasting, oysters, and lobster chowder and lobster miso soup. Both lobster dishes were amazing; you could taste how fresh the lobster was. I thoroughly enjoyed the chowder while my husband had the miso soup. The sake was also really good, so good that we got a bottle of the UKA dry. Note this tasting does come with sparkling sake. My husband didn't care for it, but I didn't mind it. We then had the sashimi moriawase and oh my goodness that was amazing. The presentation was beautiful and the fish just melted in our mouths. We asked which order we should eat the sashimi and were so glad that we followed the directions! Everything was amazing, but we particularly enjoyed the Hokkaido scallops, chu toro, and kasugo. We then had nigiri: fisherman style, red king crab, kama toro, and truffle hamachi. Each piece was seasoned to perfection. My husband enjoyed the kama toro and truffle hamachi so much that he had to order them again. The truffle hamachi had just the right amount of truffle and I'd definitely recommend that this is a must have. Overall, service was outstanding. Midori, the manager, welcomed us and checked in on us often. She gave us great suggestions on sake and also helped us with eating the sashimi in the best order to enjoy to the fullest. Our server was also great and gave us great recommendations. Chef Ivan is highly skilled having worked at multiple well known San Diego sushi spots. We're glad that he's at Harmony Cuisine 2B1! The restaurant is fairly small and can get busy, so I'd recommend making a reservation. Sitting at the bar is our preference, but they do have some small tables as well. The parking lot is very busy given there are a number of restaurants in that plaza. We haven't had luck finding a spot and typically park on a side street and walk over. I'd recommend giving yourself some time for parking. We've had excellent experiences here and cannot wait to come back!

It's Memorial Day. Happened to crave for sushi. Good thing 2b1is open. Walk in without reservation. We ordered Uni Pasta . It was delicious. Reminded me of the place we ate at Tokyo . O-toro melts in your mouth . The Chu-toro is as creamier buttery tasting than O-toro.The lunch set was ok good amount of rice. Rin the server was attentive.

We were in the area and wanted sushi so we stopped in. It has a U shaped sushi bar and then tables to the left. We were greeted right away and decided to sit at the sushi bar. It was a weekday around 1:30 and it wasn't busy. The sushi chef and server were both very nice and the food was good too. We ordered the following: Tempura battered squash blossom- yummy! Nice light batter. Chef's large sashimi platter- very fresh fish and super tasty. Sushi roll with salmon- can't remember the name but it was very good. 2 pieces of Japanese uni- really yummy. 2 pieces of salmon roe (ikura)- we always have this for "dessert". Overall it was a bit pricy but again, fresh and tasty! We would return!

If you're looking for quality fish & don't mind splurging a little bit Harmony 2B1 is a must try. Restaurant is a bit small so best to make reservations ahead of time. They usually have young student servers that are nice & respectful. Table for 2 is tiny so if you plan to order a lot be prepared to play a little game of Tetris with the plates. Yellowtail Kama is perfectly cooked with crispy skin on the outside and juicy in the inside. For anyone looking for a no rice roll. Try the Kinuta roll. It's cucumber wrapped filled with plenty of snow crab & fish. Light & refreshing. The only thing is that it does break apart very easily. The Salmon Fresh roll is also very tasty roll. Lastly, the nigiri's are Chef's kiss. Always enjoy coming here.

We made reservations around 1pm but came alot earlier. They were still able to sit us at the sushi bar which was nice, Felipe was an amazing chef. All the fish tasted fresh and we loved seeing them prepare it right infront of us. The server was fast and attentive, she was able to recommend us some great appetizers for us to try. Thank you for a great lunch! I recommend the Yellowtail Jalapeno from the crudo section of the menu, and the Yuzu-hama roll if you are a yellowtail fan like me.

$96 meal (add miso, 2 nigiri, and wasabi)

Good service. Mexican sushi chefs. It's quite funny having Mexican guys yelling "Irasshaimase" at you. The nigiri are good. The blue fin tuna bowl is not good. You'll get a bigger bang for your buck ordering the nigiri individually. Disappointed when I see a $10 charge for fresh wasabi. $10! really?! Good place, but pricey.

I've been here twice and on a Friday night for dinner, that parking lot was simply insufficient and I was left parking on the street pretty far away. From both experiences, my takeaway was that the sushi rolls are unremarkable and overpriced but picking sushi/nigiri pieces was worth it, particularly the Hokkaido scallop and the hamachi belly. Cost can add up quickly like that too though. For other share plates and apps, I liked the mixed tempura and the filled blossoms. Service was attentive and friendly and is a great place for a nice meal.

I've dined here multiple times and each time it's been amazing. The sushi quality is one of the best in San Diego, and their selection of sake is great. They have Dassai 23, which is my favorite Sake. I've sat at both the bar and tables, and each time my service has been amazing from both the servers and the sushi chefs. If my friends are ever in town, I always make sure to bring them to harmony!

Putting chopsticks here for reference on salmon piece not cutting into proper portion. More is not always better

    All you can eat?

No. Omakase, so about 8 courses?

What kind of vibe is this restaurant? Is it okay to bring toddler?

Family friendly. Small space with majority being a sushi bar. However there are a handful of tables.

Do they serve the same menu at lunch as they do for dinner?

Yes, except Omakase course. Due to limited # of chef at bar, all orders are taken by server and cannot be served one on one base at bar.

We ventured to Flama Llama, delighted by the wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. What I was not mentally prepared for was the most enlightening culinary venture that I would ever undergo. Flama Llama provided for my companion and I both a satisfying afternoon meal, and perhaps the most poignant dining experience I have enjoyed thus far in my life. The meat was tender and juicy. The vegetables more flavorful than I ever thought possible. The noodles seasoned to perfection. The chicha morada subtly sweet and divinely slaking. And the sauce -- the sauce was orgasmic. I used to not believe those who claimed that good food tells a story. Before this meal I was blind, but now I see the truth. Tension, melancholy, tenacity, and elation. So rich in intensity and meaning. To descibe in human tongue this meal that transcends language would be a disservice to its biblical splendor. I can only in good faith describe the effect that it had on me. I have never cleaned my plate like I did in this restaurant. I have never performed with such steadfast resolve. I have never been turned into a beast of a man and immediately satiated by such postprandial bliss. I was a mad, esurient dog, and Flama Llama's cuisine a gentle hand guiding me to fulfillment. How the sweet meal sang to me, beckoning me into this nirvana like Saint Peter at the pearly gates. This world is a savage one, but the food at Flama Llama has reminded me that no matter how crestfallen, no matter how mired in anguish we as humans have become, beauty endures. I am, in all likelihood, Flama Llama's #1 fan. Still, I wish I knew enough about cooking or creation of any kind so that I could appreciate it more. I wish I had it in me to become so skilled at preparing food that I could develop something even remotely close to this. And while I have my eye on other endeavors, I will never stop being inspired by Flama Llama. Such artistry I will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I can only hope that one day I will be responsible for something that touches someone as deeply as this food has touched me. An incredible experience if ever one there was. I may no longer seek love from a human companion because I have found everything I need at this establishment. I do not say this lightly: Flama Llama has changed the course of my life forever. afterwards we went to costco and got a hotdog and it was pretty good too

Upon walking up to the door, we noticed the closed sign but there was some tables filled already. He asked if we had reservations, we did not then he told us to wait outside to be called on, there were tons of empty clean tables, but we didn't argue. As soon as we stepped outside, before I could sit down we got called right back in by the other lady to come inside. Okay. Weird quick game of musical chairs lol. She explained to us how it goes. Drinks on this side of the room. Food on that side. Check. First plate: garlic fried rice (Sinangag), fried eggs, longoniza, Filipino spaghetti, lechon, and a bowl of arroz caldo. Also grabbed two cups, one for water the other for what the waitress said was mango ice tea (spoiler alert: no mangoes were hurt in the process of making this ice tea). Second plate: watermelon and pineapple slices, menudo, kare kare, ube pancake. First the sinangag tasted like it's been left out too long even though it was just brought out. Lots of hard pieces of rice. I decided to not finish it. Next, the fried eggs and longaniza. Fried eggs felt too rubbery for maybe just me. And the longaniza didn't taste anything like longaniza. No spices no garlic. Just a basic sweet hot dog. Maybe I'm wrong and it's just a hot dog. I can say the Filipino spaghetti did taste somewhat like actual Filipino spaghetti, sweet. But not too sweet but also didn't see any hot dogs in there! Now the lechon. Tasted exactly like fried pork. That has zero spices and kinda been out for a while. The arroz caldo had some shreds of chicken I think but I had to fetch for it in the pot. Unfortunately there's no boiled eggs to add but you can add everything else to it like the fried garlic, spring onions lemon etc. Now the drinks. What's up with the non mango mango iced tea? It just tasted like iced tea and if I was told that id be okay. But I love mango drinks and was looking forward to it. The water is the only thing I could say I wasn't disappointed with and only if I didn't have to get it myself I guess would be the only downside lol. I did try to get a second plate. Consisted of some watermelon slices and pineapple slices, menudo and kare kare with white rice. The kare kare and menudo did look like what they were called and that is about it in comparison to what I've had in the past. The menudo had no tomato paste taste to it and was rather bland and the kare kare was also bland. Their kare kare sauce was very watery, missing the thick savory peanut buttery taste. And unfortunately, it was the watermelon slices that made me quit and lose my appetite. It had a weird rotten taste to it. I almost had to vomit. First I thought it was soaked in something maybe vinegar, or I dunno. But I just could not eat anything else. I hope today was just an off day and the food is better. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever come back or even recommend my friend or family to come eat here.

Our favorite and always a must-have is the pork xiao long bao. But the variety of Japanese/Chinese menu items keeps it fresh each time we come. The QR code menu and call button ordering makes service efficient. Despite some of the poor reviews about slow wait times, we had a very different experience. Our server patiently answered all our questions about the dishes (noting carefully the food allergies at our table). She came with our foods within 15 minutes of ordering. She was kind about our request for a quick pack up when we had to leave suddenly for an unexpected airport drop-off. Overall, this cozy bistro is worth a visit or two or three, even if parking is tight and the unassuming front entrance blends with all the other Convoy shops. It's a hidden gem amongst Convoy gems.

The food was great and it was served pretty quickly. The dumplings are flavorful and the pork belly bao was delicious even though the pricing is a bit high for what we ordered. Parking is limited in the plaza shared with other restaurants so arrive early to snatch one.

Ive been here twice now and heres my honest review on this place:…read more Ambiance: More formal than casual but definitely leaning more towards casual-formal than formal-formal -- the place itself has a nice vibe with an island bar in the center surrounded by high tops, tables, and booth + table seating. If I had to describe it in one word I would say "aesthetic". Service: Great, the servers check in a decent amount of the time and you can usually flag them down if you need anything Food: This is where my review goes downhill. The only thing I would say is worth getting at this restaurant is the baguette with butter (no add-ons, caviar or whatever they have going on at the time -- its just not worth it -- when I got the black truffle on my butter the shavings were so thin they might as well have not been there since it made no difference in flavor) The tamarind wings are one dimensional -- the wings are fried well, but lack in flavor, its straight *overwhelming* tamarind with no other notes. House made egg noodles lack any sort of noticeable flavor, most of it stemming from the Lap Cheong but most definitely not worth the price tag that it holds ($36) The dry aged duck is where I feel the most "scammed out of". Ive gotten this both times i've been here. Both times its been overly salty. I understand its dry-aged, but the saltiness overtakes any other flavor of the duck. The sauces try to make up for the lack of flavor but they just cant carry the entire dish on their own -- especially not for a $100 price tag. The first time I ordered this dish (Jan 2026) the duck came out cold-warm, and the second time I came here (July 2026) it came out warmer.
