Use this as a sign to never go here please. I used to love it here, but oh my god it's gotten bad. I was served frozen wings. That sauce was piping hot on them and when you got to the bone it was cold like if it wasn't cooked right. That should've been my first sign to leave but I stayed. I then got potstickers that tasted like if they were 3 days old and weren't hot either. We then got our food served which was fried rice and orange chicken and by that time the food came I didnt even want to eat it. The waiter was also rude and didn't are about our experience. To my luck I read the reviews afterwards and realized that they didn't pass a health inspection not that long ago. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I won't be coming back either. read more

Driving by the area we were frantically looking for a place to eat and got this place as our second option so we gave it a shot. As we walked into the welcome area we noticed a bunch of cops having dinner which is a hint that a place is really good. right ? honestly the food was good not something out of this world, everything seems so nice on the picture menu but it was the sushi that ruined the night for us soooo disappointed in the presentation and even more disappointed in the quality and taste of it. Like what the in world was that? It wasn't even standard sushi I've had better at Pete's Fresh Market ‍ anyway I do recommend The crab Rangoon the eggrolls, Mongolian beef & Broccoli and fried rice you can go for those but if you are a sushi fan don't even bother ordering from here. We've eaten from here often and I'm sick to say we have. The restaurant was closed down temporarily by the health department. Being that this was the case I searched for the report, which is made public. Never again will I eat here. I won't divulge what the report said but you can look for yourselves. To the owner. My family and I have been going to your restaurant for many many years but we just Cannot take the rudeness that we receive from your staff any longer. Why hasn't anyone done anything about this? We are not the only ones who feel this way. We were barely greeted upon our arrival we were a party of 8 people and not one server smiled at us it was like they were forced to talk and serve us. We had family from out of town and they were shocked to how we were treated. I asked for kids drink and the waitress rolled her eyes I had no clue we were about to get cans of soda! I've done takeout here multiple times and eaten inside the restaurant once and always have had a good experience. There are some takeout foods that you shouldn't get here though like the tempura udon because it was basically just water as the broth and noodles...no seasoning whatsoever. Not sure what it's like inside the restaurant but definitely stay clear of taking it to go. Also, do not get the ginger salad! It's so tiny compared to other places for $3. Otherwise, I love getting food here but there's definitely some foods to stay clear of. read more

I am going to go out of my way to share this review with as many people as possible. It has been a long time since I have been this angry with a place. It is very difficult for a business to piss me off to such extents but this place has done it. We walk in here and it was hot. Either the air was not working right or was turned way up. it was not very comfortable at all. My wife and i were sweating by the time the meal was over. Our server was mildly friendly and mildly interested. When she saw the gift certificate she stated in a condescending tone: 'Oh, you have one of those?" What the hell is it to you and who the hell do you think you are talking to? I wanted to leave immediately after that smart ass comment. I took a trip to the restroom and it was a disaster: no paper towels, no soap, and these dried up splattered substance EVERYWHERE! I didn't even want to guess what the hell this was. Although the rest of this place sucks, I have to give credit where credit is due. The food here was very good. We started out with an appetizer plate for two and wanton soup and it was very good. My wife had the seafood combination and I had the harmony Pad Thai. Once again, they were both very good. Everything was fresh and hot and well prepared. I like going for Chinese food because it always provides a couple meals for me. When I broke into the leftovers, I found out that about 1/3 of my leftover portion never made it into my to go box. And with that being said, the only thing that was okay, was the egg roll. You can find better in the area. If not China town is a 20 min drive, and a better idea over ordering from here. I have been coming here for over 10 years, and they have consistently delivered good quality food in enormous portions for a very low price. They aren't mind-melting good, but they are pretty good for being close to a mediocre group of restaurants. Their new sushi selections are done well; but, I'd continue to stay away from the Thai noodle dishes they have. Their drinks are super-cheap, but you might have to tell the bartender how to make what you want: last time I had to explain to the temporary tender how to make a margarita! Eating in the restaurant guarantees good service and portions that will make you wonder why you ordered one entree each person. In my early yelping days, apparently I gave out 5 star reviews pretty easily. My husband and I have gone back here numerous times since and always had problems. The waitresses are always rude when you dine in. Once the delivery was 15 minutes late so we called the restaurant only to find another rude person. Hey - you gave us a time, we didn't make it up! Another time they completely forgot to include my brothers order. That's one time too many for screw ups. I noticed now that they have a sign outside that advertises sushi. Since when do the Chinese know how to do sushi? So, now they do Chinese, Thai and sushi? Make up your mind. I love Chinese food. But as you all may know, it's hard to find a decent place to order from, much less to dine in. Harmony Restaurant is the exception! Their food tastes authentic and is well prepared. We had their BBQ pork, crab ragoon, Hunan Chicken, and Beef Lo Mein. It was by far the best Chinese I've had (outside of Chinatown). They serve large portions for a great price. Their service was great as well! They give you the family ambience and that's exactly what I plan next time I'm there. Wanna take a walk around the eastern part of the world? Come to Harmony. They offer Chinese cuisine, Thai, and even Sushi. What's not to like with a menu so versatile?? My favorite dish is the Orange Beef, I love the strands of orange peel that they put on it. Sushi is also great, I tried the Sushi combo for two and it included salad, soup, and sushi at a very affordable price. The staff is soooo friendly and my little girl loves coming here. The staff here were very rude and even made an insult towards one of the guests as soon as they walked in. The server brought out the different meals one at a time, as opposed to all at once. It was really enjoyable to eat inside a Chinese Restaurant, as opposed to how it always comes to my home. The inside is pretty spacious and there were a few other couples spaced about throughout the interior. We sipped on hot tea while waiting for our meals. The appetizers and entrees were spaced apart in nice intervals and the food was amazing. If you leave leftovers around from Harmony, they will be devoured quickly. My only warning is to be sure of what you order since the staff is not very fluent in English, which makes it difficult to ask for special orders or substitutions in your food. read more

The best local Asian restaurant in the Midway area. Their taste has been very consistent and the staff has been very polite. I've only ordered take out but every time I go inside I always say we need to stay and eat one of these days because the layout is so pretty and inviting. The full-service sushi bar at Harmony has arrived!! We tried it tonight for the first time and had Yellowtail, Superwhite Tuna, Spicy Tuna Rolls, and Unagi Rolls. The best Chinese/Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. I've been to so many where it's either rice is bad but entree good. Where entree is good but rice bad. And where all rice entree and appetizers were bad. But this place is amazing, perfect! They have a huge menu so you're sure to find what you like. Their appetizers are perfectly cooked. I'm glad that I placed my order via Grub Hub 27 minutes ago because I have been standing in their lobby for 15 minutes and have not been acknowledged at all. I don't mind waiting for my carry out order but I would have walked out if I was just going in to order and wait. This restaurant is my favorite in Garfield Ridge. I really like their sushi, but I also like their noodles and chicken fried rice. They always make the food pretty fast and the interior is beautiful. I haven't eaten inside in a while because of COVID-19, but ordering takeout is perfectly fine. I definitely recommend! read more
