New to the area and decided to go and get Chicken from the legendary "Harolds". There were 2 things that made it a bad experience for me. The first thing I was disappointed with was the customer service, just dry and not customer like. I walked in and I felt almost ordered to the second window to make a payment. Once sent down to the 2nd window, the cook acted like he didnt hear my order from the order taker, so I had to repeat myself. I paid for the food to the cashier, then he proceeded to go back and make my food, of course I watched him to make sure he wasnt handling my food. So my mother went here today to try and get a three piece of chicken... It's an emotional stop for her because this is the same place my nephew, who passed away, used to go to with his friend and get their chicken from. First of all, the chicken wings were cooked to perfection. It took 20 minutes because I'm guessing it's cooked fresh. There are no prices on some of the menu items. The cook, who was also the order taker had a really bad attitude when I ask questions about items that had no prices on the menu. Next I moved to the window where I paid for my order. The woman who accepted the payment attitude was just as dry. After the wait, I requested extra napkins from the cook. I was told "they are in the bag". I said again can I have extra napkins please. The TWO napkins were soaked in the mild sauce that leaked from the package! To say the least it was a messy ride home. Their 2 piece catfish dinner is actually one piece of fish cut in half. Although the taste and flavors are good, the customer service needs a lot of work! At no point did either of them smile, say "hi" thank you or any gesture to make me feel like my business was appreciated. This one star is just for the food because that is the only thing good about this location. For starters they have this extra thick bullet proof glass for absolutely no reason at all! I really loved my meal when I visited, I definitely will be back! Visiting Naperville for work and wanted some comfort food, this was the perfect stop! I had ordered the chicken and catfish covered in mild sauce. I got two pieces of fried fish and three chicken wings, on top a bed of fries. I would recommend! The fish was my favorite part but both were fried perfectly and the sauce really complimented the seasoning on the chicken. Unfortunately you can't dine in but eating in my car really want to bad. Tonight I stopped by this restaurant to pick up an order that was called in. When I approached the window for ordering, I was met by an older woman who immediately yelled at me. When I explained that my order had been phoned in and I was giving her my name, she barked at me stating that they don't use names and demanded my order. I ordered the 4 Wing Dinner with lemon pepper seasoning and mild sauce on the side.
