Great Experience! We needed our carpets cleaned and stretched to list our home for sale. With no time to set a month out appointment with the big chain places, I went with Harper Carpet Care. We called Harper Carpet Care on Memorial Day and he called us back first thing the next day. He was able to come to our house on Saturday to stretch and reattach carpet in a spare bedroom (we had a leak and had to pull out and replace the carpet pad). Harley called to confirm the appointment that morning, just like he said he would, and he arrived right on time. He charged us less than the price that he quoted us on the phone--and the original price was reasonable to begin with! We will definitely use Harley again for any carpet or tile needs that we have, and I'm referring my parents to him. I searched yelp recently in search for a great carpet cleaner and was instantly impressed with the reviews. I called and made the appointment and they showed up on time and got the job done. They got all the stains out of our carpets . We have 2 dogs and 2 children that can do some damage. They met all my expectations and stains never resurfaced. I also had them stretch out our carpet upstairs and it was much better than it was before and it was very reasonable to get this done. Harley sure did go out of his way for me. I had meet him through my apartment manager years ago that used him exclusively for all of their carpet cleaning. He used a pet deodorizer to take care of the dogie smell and also a de-greaser treatment on the duct tape stain on the carpet left by some of my crappy renters that decided to turn my house into a 'grow-house'. He did a great job and didn't cut the job short even though it started pouring outside (back when it rained) and he got soaked. His trailer mounted steam cleaner machine certainly did the trick. read more

You can tell they know their stuff, I had horrible pet stains in my den and living room and couldn't believe how fantastic the carpets looked when they were finished! This is the 2nd time we have had Harley come and clean our carpets. The guys are on time and they do a really good job even with stained spots. Most of all, they don't try to upsell every little add-on service and the price does not change once they show up to your house. I chose Harper to clean my carpet because of the reviews on Yelp and Harley more than delivered. I was moving out of my condo (last Oct) and cleaning the carpets was the last thing I had to do. Harley and his partner were to meet me around 6pm. I got text messages during the day that their equipment broke but a repair crew was on the way. Poor Harley had a tough time getting his machine fixed and that backed up his time to start my job. It was getting late and they asked to move my appointment to the next day. I couldn't because I had to turn the keys in so Harley kept his word and arrived around 8:30pm. Their attitude was refreshing and the job they did was top of the line. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment with Harper Carpet Care their customer service was top notch! In this day and age finding a company that treats customers well is always a big plus. Harley called me to let me know they were coming and he and his partner were extremely friendly and professional. Even though our job was small (2 area rugs) and it was the end of their day, they did a first class job. Our rugs look as good as when they were new and smell even better than new. We used Harper Carpet Care to clean our upstairs carpets and the upholstery on several chairs and couches because we had just finished several months of renovations. I was very impressed with the quick reply to my inquiry, and I was given an approximation of the cost. We were able to schedule the service for the same day as my inquiry which was perfect for our schedule. When the technician arrived, we walked through the area, and he was able to decrease the cost. Our carpet was dirty with pet stains and other stains and I pulled up to the house, saw their van, Jaime and his crew were 2 doors down. Absolutely horrible rip-off. These yelp reviews for this business are either fake or these people got the service I expected and did not receive. They show up on time, we walk the rooms, and they immediately start talking me out of things I asked to be done.. They claim to fix small carpet issues but when I asked for that service the guy literally said it would be a lot of work re-stretching the carpet. It was a quarter size hole at the edge of the carpet and it became clear from the way he was reacting that he just didn't want to do it because it meant he had to DO the work. When we showed them a couple of stains his response was that he had no experience with stains. A carpet cleaner with no experience in stains? Really? Unfortunately we went ahead with letting them "clean" the carpets. We thought that surely their heavy duty equipment would do way better than our box store "steam cleaner". We had spent two days moving heaving furniture out of all the rooms and left only one large piece in each room all of which were pre-elevated and on pads we purchased from a box store so they could be easily moved. More on this later.. We left them to do a small room and after 10 minutes they said they were done. Wow, red flags and fireworks started going off here. I don't care how high tech your equipment is you can't do a good carpet cleaning in 10 minutes in any size room. I inspected the work to find that they had not moved that one piece of furniture out of the way and cleaned underneath it. WOW! Really? It's like that SNL skit with Seth. I called the guy back into the room and asked if he was waiting for the carpet to dry before moving the ONE piece of furniture and cleaning under it. His response, "You wanted me to clean under that?". My internal reaction can't be mentioned here and I remained outwardly calm and began verbosely dictate what I expected out of this deal. So now we have someone who doesn't want to work, isn't cleaning anything because he's going 90 miles an hour and doesn't even move or ask help with moving furniture, which by the way on their website says they will move stuff. Then he states that furniture has to be lifted so it's not touching the carpet and asks if I have anything to raise it up with. WOW, Really?! Isn't that your job? Didn't I just hire you to do this work? He then finds some sort of foam blocks and acts like he's going way above and beyond the call of duty to do this for us. I could go on and on but this business is not worth it.. Bottom line the carpets do not look any better after they came. Sure they "appeared" to be getting clean while they were doing the work, which he was eager to point out, but that was only because the carpets were wet giving it a sheen that the light could bounce off of masking the fact that all the dirt/stains were still there. Once it dried it looked just as bad as when they had started. I immediately went to Lowes the next day and rented the Bissell Big Green cleaning machine and cleaned my own carpets. Finally I got the "service" I expected from Harper.. The water this machine was soaking up was just pure black confirming that the Harper boys scammed us. It took roughly 4-5 hours to clean 600 square feet of carpet with this rental machine but once done they look brand new again. I was so impressed with that machine I bought one on amazon and use it often now. The moral? If you want it done right do it yourself. Save the $200+ you'd spend getting scammed and put it towards buying the Bissell Green machine because your already half way there. read more

My house was flooded during the storms we had in Kyle on October 30th. I called HARPER CARPET CARE when the water was still rising. Harley & Christi showed up as soon as the flood waters receded. They knew exactly what to do and immediately began removing baseboards, wet flooring, micro banning all necessary areas and setting up air movers. This quick response prevented mold from ever having a chance. This is a GREAT family owned business and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

After I had some built-in cabinets installed I needed to have my carpet cut down to size and reinstalled around those cabinets. I received 3 quotes and Harper was the most expensive, but only by $30 bucks. However, they were the easiest to communicate with and had the earliest availability so I ended up going with them. Although they have a few technicians, the owner himself (Harley) showed up at my house and did the job perfectly. Afterwards he said it took a lot less time than he expected so he shaved $40 off the cost without asking. Harley seems like an honest guy and I'll definitely keep him in mind next time I need anything carpet related done around my house. I'm a lot stingier than most people with my 5 stars, but these guys deserve it. read more
