    Crab & artichoke dip

Harper's had a hiatus last summer and has now reopened. I hosted a happy hour there today with fourteen women. The food was fantastic! People ordered the crab dip, the tuna tower, lamb lollipops, clams, burgers, crab cake, and other items. The happy hour deals are very good. The views are fantastic. Definitely put this place in your list of places to try if you have not been there. The service was friendly and very efficient, even with a bunch of separate checks.

First trip here, because we were in town for an event. As pescatarians, seafood is our preference. Sunday Brunch menu offered shrimp 'n' grits which included sausage, but they excluded it per our request. It was delicious! Very flavorful! We've had this dish in Charleston and it's difficult to find restaurants north of SC to do it justice. Josh, our waiter, highly recommended it and with one taste, we agreed! Kudos to Chef B Thornton! Beautiful views, friendly service and a delicious meal makes for happy customers!

Discovered this gem and so glad we did. The hubby and I like to try new places at least once or twice a month. You never know what to expect with new places but let me tell you.....Harper's Waterfront is legit. Went for brunch today. Beware......the portions are PLENTIFUL and you won't be disappointed. We started with the Fresh Fruit Ice Bowl & Baked Brie. For 2 people.....just order 1 app. We pretty much brought the whole fruit bowl home due to the baked Brie being so amazingly big we couldn't eat all the fruit. I ordered the Steak & Eggs. The quality of that 12 oz NY Strip....that was cooked to a perfect medium...w/ Eggs & Homefries OMG!!! Hubby ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and I knew it was a winner when his eyes rolled to the back of his head after the 1st bite. AGAIN....portions are phenomenal! We each brought half our entrees home. Definitely add Harper's Waterfront to your list of places to visit. You won't regret it. Can't wait to go for dinner.

Food was good. Nice views. But service was surprisingly bad despite not being busy. We waited a while before our server came over. Server never checked on us. Never refilled our waters (I had to go inside and find someone). And the beer I ordered when my entree arrived didn't come out until I was almost finished the meal. Very disappointing.

Just wanted to join everyone else in celebrating Harper's for an awesome dining experience. We got to treat my mother-in-law to an absolutely delicious dinner with incredible service thanks to Diana and a range of delicious entree's courtesy of everyone on the team. Whether the salmon, filet mignon, or the epic crab cakes, everything was on point. And they were also super accommodating in general. Also, did I mention the view and the vibe? Long story short, this was a dinner we won't forget. In all the best ways.

Omg my new favorite place. Writing this note as I sit at their bar, solo, enjoying apps and a dark & stormy (or two). The staff is SO FRIENDLY and fun, I already feel (and want to become) a regular. The crab and artichoke dip is the best version I've had. The shrimp are crisp, huge, sweet and fresh. Hats off to Amanda - cool as a cucumber behind a busy bar. You know how sometimes staff unintentionally makes you feel a bit weird as a solo diner? Not here. GM Melissa stopped by to introduce herself and celebrate that I was enjoying some me time.

The hostess seated us at a high-top table, but unfortunately, the table was very shaky. As we were getting settled, we also noticed that the music coming from the speaker directly above us was pretty loud. When our server came over, my wife asked if she could turn it down a little, and she was happy to do so. We ordered our drinks--my wife had iced tea and I had an Orange Crush which was very good. I asked about the crab cake prices and was told it was around $45 for the dinner, about $28 for the sandwich, and around $22 for the crab ball appetizer. When our server came back, my wife ordered the shrimp special. I wanted a BLT with a crab cake added, so I asked how much it would be to add one. I was surprised when she told me it would be $40 to add the crab cake, on top of the $17 BLT. At that price, I decided to order the BLT and the crab balls instead. I put two of the crab balls on my sandwich and we ate the other two separately. Overall, the food was good. My wife really enjoyed her grilled shrimp and rice. My BLT had a nice amount of bacon, but it had way too much lettuce and only one small slice of tomato. Once I removed some of the lettuce and added two of the crab balls to the sandwich, it was actually much better. The crab balls were good, but I still have a hard time understanding $40 to add a crab cake to a $17 BLT. I could see paying around $12 for a nice-sized crab cake added to a sandwich, but $40 seems extremely high. The best part of the experience was definitely the location. Sitting outside on the dock, enjoying the water and having dinner was very nice. Afterward, my wife and I walked out on the dock and watched the sunset. That's the kind of setting that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile.

At this particular place they quoted us 1,000 dollars for ONE bushel of crabs! That wasn't sliding with us and as a nonprofit every penny spent needs to have a purpose. I just want to call out how friendly everyone was, from the staff to the amazing two little girls that were there. I can tell the owners don't just care about what they're selling but they truly care about every aspect of their business. We drove one hour to pick up the crabs and when we arrived back the crabs were still hot and our group of 28 people said they were the best crabs they've had. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the other foods they other, the cold salads looked so good. Thank you, Stevensville!! Keep killing it!

The ability to call ahead and get a fast reservation was enough foreshadowing to tell us this is a great restaurant. But the food soon clinched the deal. I had the crispy rockfish. Really good! Three big pieces of rockfish served atop black beans and rice. The side was 3 large shrimp perched on a slightly spicy salsa. A good aioli sauce finished off the dish nicely. I will say that the breading on the rockfish was not so crispy - rather, it was a tad on the soft side and bit too moist for my liking. But the fish inside was pure and white as expected. The serving was very large. My spouse had the crab cake dinner and he says that it is the best crab cake he has ever had. He even entered it into his restaurant contacts on his phone. This is high praise coming from a native Marylander who loves good Chesapeake Blue Crab. From my perspective, I could see that each of the 2 crab cakes was HUGE!!!! Just 1 alone might have been enough for a meal. The crab cakes were served on top of fried green tomatoes which he gobbled up. The balance of luxuriously silky crab salad against the fried green tomatoes was perfect. You know what else was perfect? The bread service! We each got 1 nicely sized roll, still warm and easy to pull apart. But the butter was enough to make me lick it off my knife. Garlic butter or chive butter - we could not quite decide - but it was so tasty that I wanted more. We both drank Arnold Palmers. He thought it was the best Arnold Palmer ever while I did not care for mine. I guess that is what makes the world go around, right? To each his own. Whatever you think of the crab cakes or the Arnold Palmer, O'Leary's Seafood is a great place. I highly recommend it for a great seafood meal.
