Not completely impressed or pleased. We ordered our drinks, which were quickly served. The fried zucchini was limp not fried golden and crisp like I remember from the Original place. My prime rib was tender, but lacked in flavor, my husband's very pricey pork chops were extremely tough and the fried Brussels sprouts not good at all. We also ordered dessert and wish we hadn't, it seemed like forever to get it. Our waiter was very nice, but extremely busy which made service very slow. The place is very noisy and lacks in the romantic or intimate feel the Original place was famous for, tables are too close for my taste. Probably will not return. Stopped in early afternoon for a glass of wine and to see the new restaurant. Asked about Latex vs. non-latex gloves in the kitchen, as I am allergic. The manager took it personally, was rude, and said he doesn't care about people's allergies. Then he said I should just use my epi-pen. Hmmmm. The bartender was wearing the latex gloves to cut lemons! Most good restaurants in Lubbock use non-latex gloves as an obligation to their crew and the public they are serving. We are all being over-exposed! Will definitely be ignoring this restaurant. read more

I have eaten here twice and the first time we had a reservation and it took 45 mins past our reservation to get seated. The manager on duty was super rude about it. The food was good so I gave them benefit of the doubt and came back tonight. Our soups took forever to get out so when we got our entrees we hadn't had time to eat our soup and salad so we had to just send them off bc the table was to small for 4 men. After already sending our soup and salad back we all cut into our steaks and 3 of the 4 were majorly under cooked. The manager on duty as last visit was very rude again. My husband and I went to Harrigans November 7 2019 around 6:30 pm We each ordered a cocktail before dinner. It took the waitress over 25 minutes to get the drinks and to take our order. No problem we thought it was busy so we ordered our dinners. A rib eye and a prime rib . Both dinners were ill prepared. Prime Rib overdone in a bowl of broth. The side of spinach was cold and had a crust on top. My husbands ribeye was burnt on top Rubbery and way over done. He had the waitress take it back. After another 25 minutes, It was replaced with a ribeye that was burned black on each side top and raw in the middle. By the time the second steak was brought out we had finished about half of the prime rib and tried a bit of the spinach. The noise level in the restaurant was extremely high and it looked like they were understaffed. Very chaotic atmosphere. What happened next was very unexpected and alarming . We decided to take the second rib eye home after the waitress went back with the second steak to put in a to go box. We were waiting for the ticket. This tall guy we assumed was a manager appeared. We told him the food was not acceptable and he told us loudly in front of other customers in a condescending voice That he was not going to charge us for the dinner And to get the "f$#&k out of his restaurant. We became aware and alarmed that we were being kicked out. We were humiliated in front of the other customers. We tipped waitress on the way out and asked what-this mans name was she told us his name is Victor. Again he appeared and he followed us to the front door. At this point he was verbally abusive and was physically threatening to my husband who is a much smaller 73 year old man. He got up close enough to my husbands chest in a physically threatening manner. I guess he was going to body slam us out the front door. I told him it is a felony to physically assault anyone over 65 and to get away from my husband . At that point he began taunting and threatening me. I asked who he thought he was talking to. This man Victor told us that he was the owner of the restaurant and that he owned the entire shopping strip. He was very menacing and quite loud. It was apparent that his aggressive behaviors were accelerating and we were very concerned he intended to physically harm us. As we exited the front door other staff members were trying to get him back in but he followed us out to our car. At this point I became quite afraid that he would try to hurt us physically. I got in my car he came to my side of the car and started screaming profanities at me and throwing obscene hand gestures at my face as I scrambled to get into my car. My husband and I were terrified My husband is 73 years old and I am over 60. This man Victor acted in a violent and unprovoked manner that was not in keeping with being a professional manager . We believe he would have assaulted us if there were not witnesses around. This man Victor's behavior was quite irrational and in keeping with someone who was likely either high on drugs or has mental health issues I called the police shortly after we left and reported the incident. We were too afraid to remain there in the parking lot and wait for the police to come. Something should be done about this man. What we observed was not only highly unprofessional but dangerously unpredictable and physically assaultive behavior. There are other reports on Yelp about him being rude and inappropriate but what we observed went far beyond that. Update. We did get in touch with the owner of the restaurant who informed us that this Victor is not a manager or in a managerial position and that he had been employed there for around 4-5 months. The actual manager was not there that night. The owner said he would check on the incident. I hope that the owner and managerial staff will take the responsibility to get this Victor out of direct contact with the public. If not, please be aware what we observed was abnormally overreactive and verbally and physically threatening towards us. Out of fear we will never go back to Harrigans as long as this person is employed there. We hope his employers are aware of his abnormal behaviors and can assist him in getting professional help before he hurts somebody. This guy needs to be watched for violence towards others. This report is also being uploaded to the Better Business bureau. There is also a report on file at the Lubbock City police department made the night of the incident.. read more

Very disappointing is all I can say. There were 6 of us and only two even came close to finishing their dinner. I had French onion soup and had to send it back 3 times. How hard is it to warm it up. Tasted good but kept coming back lukewarm as did everyone else who ordered soup. Two people ordered meatloaf which was just plain awful. All of it was mediocre if that. My vodka martini was the only good thing. Don't plan to go back. read more

Food had redeeming quality but service was slow, especially in the bar. They ran out of Brussel sprouts and baked potatoes. Over charged for our bottle of wine. And had no coffee for after dinner. Sorry, won't go back. read more

I had to post a star I order to post my review, otherwise they wouldn't get one. My first time eating here. Wine was good, bread was good, salad had more dressing than lettuce. My steak was raw, ordered medium rare. My husband ordered filet medallions, very rare, his came out medium. Think the kitchen switched them. Will not eat here again. Paid $35 so I could take my steak home and microwave it. read more

I coordinate a group of ladies from my church who enjoy dining in nice restaurants each month. I made a reservation several days in advance with the number who had signed up (12), but I told the woman who took the reservation that there could be a few more or less. When I arrived last evening at the restaurant, I was "checked in" but told that we could not be seated until everyone arrived. So a large group of us clogged up the waiting area near the hostess stand for 15 + minutes. When I arrived, I told the hostess that 2 more people were planning to join us, but that news was not well received. The hostess was pleasant but a tall man who seemed to be "in charge" was quite rude. He did tell us our table was ready but they could not accommodate more than the 12 originally stated. One of our ladies walked back to the table with him and showed him nicely how we could fit 2 more people in. Such inflexibility in a dining establishment as this is not conducive to return business. Our waiter was very nice and efficient, and to food was fine - not outstanding. The noise level is also very high, making visiting even across the table difficult. My group will not return, and I personally will never enter this place again. Such rudeness is unacceptable. read more

Definitely one of the better places in Lubbock. Best prime rib in town, good service, a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

The decor is very nice and interesting I love the pictures on the walls going back to the restrooms you're fun to look at the service was outstanding we had a great Server she was right on top of it how many issue with the restaurant was my New York strip do not get this kind of meat it was very very very tough even the state now I had would not cut it I had to get a more serrated knife with some kind of white fiber going through the steak that made it almost impossible to cut it even harder to eat but the New Orleans potatoes were just as I remember them and just as delicious little bit on the expensive side but I'm sure well worth it once you get the right cut of meat read more

Harrigan's is great. The hostesses were very warm & welcoming & even though it was extremely busy, we were sat quicker than the wait time. Our food took awhile to come out, but that's understandable for a Friday night at a new restaurant. Our waitress was super nice and easy going, joking around with us & making the night very enjoyable. The food itself was very good. The new location definitely does the old one justice & I applaud the new staff for recreating such a Lubbock classic. My only complaint is that it's very busy & takes a while to be seated & get your food. Otherwise, great restaurant with a fantastic staff. read more

We came in with a reservation for my wife's birthday. We were excited Harrigan's re-opened, and were extremely happy to see the zucchini chips and ranch on the menu. Still as good as it used to be! The new look of the inside is amazing yet still has some style and nods to the old restaurant. I got the cajun chicken penne, which was delicious as always. We did not have to wait long for any service and it seemed every employee including management was working hard to serve the people. We were checked on during our meal by multiple people. Very much appreciate the hard work restaurant servers and managers take on. Will be back! read more
