The annoying manager with the orange vest being nosy.

Terrible store. The staff is so bad here. They've attracted a lot of bad personalities. Glad to see Yelpers agree. The staff has a major problem with respect, and professionalism. This area is affluent, and customers are generally well off. Most customer's are not black. However, whenever the staff notices black people coming through, they act out, and start having fits of unprofessionalism. It's most often a person-of-color that seems to hold a grudge against me when I'm present. I'm black btw. I've complained to management on average 3 times/month and yet the behavior continues. Example 1, lifting their COVID mask and wiping their dirty nose before handling my groceries. Example 2, violating COVID guidelines by standing less than 6 feet away deliberately. Example 3, general ignorant behavior targeting myself. They are out of control. I made sure to pray for them.

The salad bar tomato has MOLD on it!!! This is our dinner.... Seems there is no quality control on the food, very frustrated!

I did not find it much different from a trip to Whole Foods, Fresh Market, or Mom's Organic and found a lot of Safeway-esque sprinkled within. Store was quite empty, hot food bar looked picked over, and their bakery section was lackluster. Luckily their prepared section won me over. My best friend and I picked up a few roasted chickens and sides for a Sunday night family dinner and were surprised by how tasty everything was! The salad and cut fruit were super fresh, crisp, and tasty. The creamed spinach was steakhouse quality. And our rotisserie chickens blew Whole Foods dry-as-the-Sahara birds out the window. Each bite was so moist and well flavored that I thought about it for a few days afterwards, I guess there is a reason why Balducci's catering is so legendary. I'll definitely be looking into their menu more as the holidays roll around.

Love their fresh baked goods, produce, hot bar, and healthy prepared foods with more vegan options. They also have these $2 snack packs, which comes in handy with the kids. This Wegmans is much smaller and more compact with a neighborhood vibe rather than the traditional larger store (there's a small bar area and food court). Wegmans has really expanded their vegan and vegetarian prepared food options this year - the juicy Eggplant Parm is delicious! It has become my weekly staple! While the Butter Paneer is quite sweet, I appreciate the diversity of ethnic foods. The Veggie Lasagna is a bit soggy. The Vegan Cobb Salad, Kale Mushroom Tofu Salad, Kung Pao Tofu Bowl, and Vegan Sushi are quite good! The new Truffle Veggies and Portobello Mushroom Pizzas in prepackaged food trays are perfect for roasting veggies, you just throw the tray in the oven! The food court has a few stations - sandwiches, pizza, and burgers and closes around 8pm (salad and poke bowls were discontinued). The veggie burger is quite good, as well as the classic fries and sweet potato fries. The Truffle Mushroom Pizza is delicious! There's an Asian hot bar with Chinese food and a wing station. The crispy tofu in spicy soy sauce is delicious! There's also a bar with pretty good drinks, the Lycheetini was delicious! Wegman's has the best grocery store bakery with super adorable sugar cookies, seasonal caramel apple cake and pumpkin cakes are delicious, other favorites include oegy gooey chocolate chip cookies, Oreo cheesecake, peanut butter cheesecake, summer fruit tarts, chocolate covered strawberry, and moist strawberry shortcake. The seasonal maple donut, strawberry and blueberry cobbler donuts are delicious. The fluffy croissants and Jalapeno Cheddar bagels are quite tasty too! While the baked goods are generally pretty fresh, they are made every other day Including some of the cookies. Free parking without validation up to 2 hours now. There's also cute green grocery carts for kids. You can get digital coupons on the app. I've been able to save over $50 from the mail and digital coupons! Can't wait to come back tomorrow!

Marufuji does carry a lot of Japanese imported items you cannot find at other stores in the area, and I think it's a great addition to Tysons. All of the employees are so friendly too, I love stopping by just to browse the new stuff they get in every once in awhile. It absolutely is pricey, since it's a very small specialty grocery store. The produce they carry is fresh, but the markup is quite high. You're likely not going to come here for your regular weekday grocery haul. When I shop here I always make sure I'm shopping deals/sales, otherwise I come here for the meat. They have the best quality A5 wagyu and kurobuta pork. Again it's pricey, but even full price it's worth it for the insane marbling. I did manage to catch their wagyu on a sale where it was $80/lb which was a pretty cool find. I'm also personally a sucker for the gachapon machines at the front of the store (which rotate semi-regularly).

There were a lot of people there but the layout made it easy to move around. What I loved most about my last visit was the absolutely gorgeous selection of flowers they had. I was able to leave with some beautiful options, including some flowers I've never heard of, to create some gorgeous bouquets to decorate the house. I was impressed with how long those flowers lasted. They didn't even start to wilt until about 2 and 1/2 weeks after I brought them home. First, the seafood steamer is never working. I have even called ahead to confirm it was operational, only to arrive and find that it wasn't. I brought this issue to the manager's attention, yet several months later the steamer still isn't functioning. As a result, I have to go to Wegmans whenever I want steamed seafood. Second, there never seems to be enough staff working the checkout lanes. Regardless of the day or time, even during busy evening hours, customers are often forced to use self-checkout. On my most recent visit, I had a very large order and was still directed to self-checkout. It took an unreasonable amount of time to complete my purchase because I needed repeated assistance with machine and scanning errors. I understand that self-checkout is a convenience for some shoppers, but it should not be the only practical option for customers with large orders. I am a customer, not a grocery store employee, and I shouldn't have to struggle through checking out an entire cart of groceries myself. Safeway has a great location in a wonderful neighborhood, but the customer service and overall customer experience need significant improvement. I would love to support this store, but it feels like customer convenience and satisfaction are not a priority.
