I would like to start this out on a positive... The decor in the restaurant was pretty good. The wait staff was also decent and very friendly. With that being said it took 44 mins for our food to come out; The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered tortellini with Alfredo sauce but What it should've said on the menu is tortellini with oil sauce. I couldn't finish my dinner as it was nothing but over cooked tortellini with an inch of oil in my plate. Needless to say I will not return to this restaurant. I've been meaning to try this place for years now and unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough. The dining area on one side of the restaurant (there seems to be a function hall on the other side) is small but comfortable and relaxed. There's a fireplace in the back of the room. Service, eh fifty/fifty. My waitress was fairly quick and efficient (but then again, I was her only customer) but appeared very disinterested and lacked enthusiasm. There was another older server/bartender who helped out and she had a much more pleasant personality. I started off with a Caesar salad. It was a generous portion and the romaine was nice and crisp, unfortunately it was saturated in dressing. To make things worse, the dressing was very thin, almost watery in consistency. The flavor was average but the consistency was off putting. As an entrée, I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. Admittedly, I'm pretty picky about my red sauces but this sauce was pretty one note. It had no complexity or depth of flavor. I will say the consistency was good. Not to thick, not to thin. The eggplant was sliced to thinly and as a result became completey limp and soggy. They were also a little skimpy with the mozzarella cheese. It comes with a side of pasta but they don't offer whole wheat pasta so I skipped that. Overall, a disappointing experience. If you want some good Italian food, and don't want to go far from home look no more! Harry's is the place to be! I can't say enough about the pasta dishes, the pizza, and the chefs creations you will not find on the menu, but hands down one of the BEST steaks you will ever have (better than one of the expensive steak houses you hear about). It's a cozy atmosphere full of regulars, and the staff will always remember you after your first visit! It's the place to visit whether you want a refreshing sangria, an authentic Italian dish-of course accompanying a bottle of Amarone, cannoli, or just an espresso martini (because you won't be able to have one anywhere else). It's like PaRaffas in New Bedford - which means it taste like Chef Boyardee. Awful. By the way if you want soup to go - bring Tupperware. Yup. You heard me. TUPPERWARE. Drive 5 miles up the road and go to Porticellos in Easton. - that place is great. I'm shocked this place remains open - but - people in Taunton and New Bedford have no idea what good Italian is. By the way I ordered veal from here once and it tasted like rotten zombie meat and smelled like sulfur. Awful. Also are their once with my kids and was getting rude looks from some wanna be Real Housewife with her fat Guinea husband who thought he was a gangster. Went to Harry's tonight.....big private party taking up the whole bar area on a Thursday night...so they sat us in the other room with no atmosphere..... There were only 2 other couples in there but they sat us right between them with no more than 3 feet between tables....wife ordered veal parm...I had haddock....you have to have pasta with your meal because they don't offer any potato even though they serve steak.... Waitress brought our entree and said she'd be right back with pasta....never to return....there were other service issues but I'll leave it at that... Won't return to be ignored again read more

There iwas no hostess to greet us when we walked in. We were told over the phone that it was north end of Boston quality food, not true!!! We ordered chicken Parm which came with the Tiniest bit of pasta I've ever seen and they looked like chicken tenderloins not whole chicken breast. The antipasto had tiny pieces of salami and no other meats or garnishes or bread pieces. not worth it!! it was a house salad with a couple of pieces of salami and cheese added. It seemed like the food was low quality. Prepared by a cook trying but certainly not north end of Boston quality food. I grew up in Boston and enjoyed eating there every weekend this was not that. I should've listen to the previous yelp reviews that stated this restaurant was not worth going to. Money would've been better spent somewhere else with much better food. Our waitstaff did not even give us a spoon for the grated cheese we had to pick it up with your fingers and sprinkle it over the salad and chicken Parm, The minestrone soup never came and when it did at the end of the meal so that we could take it with us it only has spaghetti and broth in it no vegetables and no meat at all. I hate to leave a negative review but the truth is the truth... please save your money and eat elsewhere it would be better spent at a sub shop or getting a pizza to go to eat at home!!!! Harry's has been a spot we've gone Friday nights to enjoy a great meal and wind down after a long week. Although we've been there several times and have developed a rapport with both bartenders we've never surpassed their cast of local favorites and have always gotten slow, yet adequate service. We've tried to support a small local business with little to no appreciation for our patronage. Shame, food is good, but unless you're married to the bartender or you're the guy in sweat pants who gets wasted out of his mind - who came in 12 minutes after us and had his drink made without asking -instantly, you're out of luck. We discovered this restaurant last year and fell in love with it. Went back Friday night for Valentine's day and were seated in a different area which, unfortunately, allowed us to see how run down the place has gotten. Chipped paint on windowsills, lightbulbs missing, carpet is worn and dirty, spots on glassware. The food is generally excellent but my shrimp Parmigiana was overcooked. There was a new busboy and our table had no napkins, no salt or pepper and incomplete table settings. Slow service but they were busy. All in all I still think it's a good place to go but I left thinking this would be a great project for Restaurant Impossible. read more

Had high expectations due to other reviews. Non of the employees seemed happy to have us there. Our meal took unusually long to arrive, the waitress never offered to refill our drinks.(I had wine my husband had soda) My husband finally asked for a refill on his soda. When our meal finally arrived we felt it was poorly presented considering the price (the menu listed 18.99 for my husbands seafood casserole) and his serving was small. The pasta sauce was so simple I think it may have been simply tomato sauce from a can? When the bill came we were charged 19.99 for hubby's dinner and they charged $4.00 for the glass of diet soda (they charged for the refill). I think the waitress should have informed us as this is an unusual practice. We eat out about 5x per month and I can say we wont be back to this restaurant. Harry's La Casa Mia is a great restaurant if you're looking for high quality Italian dining and fantastic ambiance. The food is excellent and the wait staff are very friendly as well. I took my girlfriend there to try something different (we were getting tired of the chain restaurants) and we had a wonderful time. The prices are a bit expensive but you get your moneys worth in food quality and environment. A great place for a first date, anniversary, or special occasion. If you order drinks at all don't expect to pay less than $80-$100 per couple. read more

We waited over 90 minutes the food. Every meal was horrible. The chicken parmigiana was burnt, the Haddock Florentine was drowned in oil, the baked ziti was cold and the fried calamari was drowned with oil. Service wasn't good, ambience wasn't good either. We went there last Friday night about 5:45 - we were the only ones in the dining room the entire time we were there. Food was overpriced and horrible. Chicken Parm looked like they had just opened a can of sauce and poured it on top - no flavor. The Chicken Broccoli and Ziti - again no flavor - chicken was boiled - no garlic in and way over priced. Its Friday evening and the dining room is pretty empty, that should have been the first warning? Where do I begin...... appetizers: baked cherry stones, too much breading and cheese? Difficult to taste anything else! Shrimp Scampi was ok however the wine was not cooked off! Salads were refreshing, given it was 90 degrees out and there was no air conditioning until we were ready to leave! Disappointing!!! If you like your Chicken Parmesan RARE, then Harry's La Casa Mia is the place to go. We went for dinner and were very disappointed when one of the meals was served RAW, and I mean RAW chicken! The waitress was as mortified as we were and very apologetic. She immediately reported the problem to the owner/chef who refused to attend to the problem personally. We would have returned to give the place another try, but when he was "too busy", we felt he couldn't have cared less! Mind you, this happened at the very end of the evening, so there was no excuse unless cleaning the kitchen kept him that busy! Coming to the Taunton/Raynham area from R.I. to do some market food shopping, I had intended to grab a meal at a well-known Taunton restaurant before driving back to R.I., but they were closing for the night, and recommended Harry's La Casa Mia as an alternative----- I'm so glad they did! I got there and was impressed by the spacious parking and the exterior and interior decor of La Casa Mia; unless there is an additional room I didn't see, the dining room I was led to has limited seating------ for perhaps 30 or so; thus it may be best to get there at off-peak times or make reservations. The menu has numerous selections of Italian food combinations in seafood, veal, chicken, etc.; I chose the veal parmesan entree, which came with a choice of a pasta plate, italian bread and an olive oil dip, and an excellent soup; for $16; they have a very good house wine selection at $5/glass; the other liquor/wine selections were a bit pricey at $7/glass; the poultry entrees cost slightly less than the veal selections. The waitresses were courteous, attentive and prompt in their food service and I was well taken care of throughout the meal. I must say that the veal dish I had was excellent------a large portion of very tender veal, with just the right amount of melted cheese, and cooked to perfection; there was no need to use anything but the fork to cut through the luscious, plentiful veal portion, and the meal turned out to be a joyous experience; many diners will have to request that a portion of the meal be boxed for takehome because of the generous serving portions. Harry's La Casa Mia is strongly recommended. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The service and management was TERRIBLE. Our food came out completely wrong, and when we asked for a manager they never sent one over. Our bill came and they charged us for the meal that they made a mistake on even though we didn't eat it. When we asked for that meal to be taken off the bill, they were very difficult about it, and made up for their lack of service with an I don't care attitude. When I go out to dinner, I am paying for both the food and the service. In this case, Harry's La Casa Mia had EMBARRASSING service. I do not recommend, there are plenty of other italian restaurants that would love your business and would have top notch service and food. read more

John Finocchi I have heard about this restaurant from several of my customers that live in the Raynham area. It was my birthday so my family decided to have a dinner at Harry's La Casa Mia. The service was outstanding the drinks actually had alcohol in them which was nice for a change, the appetizers were out of this world. We had a shrimp scampi appetizer and the shrimp were like lobster tails. The bread was extremely fresh and warm with a very nicely seasoned olive oil dip. My favorite meal when I go to a restaurant is seafood fra diavlo . I did not see it on the menu so I asked our waitress Alicia if it wouldn't be too much trouble for the chef to make it for me. Maybe it was because it was my birthday but they were more than gracious and it was just an outstanding meal. We took a 16 mile ride to visit this restaurant based on some great reviews from previous patrons and I would encourage anybody who reads this to give it a try. Harry's La Casa Mia is all heart! If you want to enjoy a relaxing, cozy atmosphere with kind people dedicated to delivering great food, find your way to this Italian niche. Their Chicken Exquisito is fantastic, especially when matched with a crisp pinot grigio. Also delicious and over the top in terms of portion size is Harry's Spaghetti and Meatballs. Thankfully I saved room to try a collection of new homemade desserts including hazelnut mouse cake and an amazing coconut cherry creme torte. Overall, I give this restaurant high marks. read more

After reading some of the reviews it baffles me to see that some our negative. Especially Anthony M's, he must eat at the Olive Garden or a lot of box restaurants of that sort. Everything he said was just out right foolish and wrong, he must not understand everything is made to order which may take a bit longer but the food is absolutely outstanding..especially the sauce. My family is Italian and I know how real sauce and Italian food should be. The bartenders were great and our waitress Alicia, was the best and most professional I've had to date. For a restaurant based in the south shore they rival any Boston restaurant..which I've been to many of the high end establishments and can say that truthfully. The food was absolutely amazing and the head chef, who come to find out afterwards is the owner came out to check personally if everything was made how we had asked. It's pathetic people would post straight out lies on this website probably because they are used to the box restaurants, trying to hurt this establishments reputation. Atmospere was nice, the food was good but took about an hour to come out and it wasn't that busy. There were no water refills at our table and the waitress didn't ask if we wanted desert. A drink order was so late that the bar tender brought it in (no charge for it which was nice). Having worked here I know for a fact freshness is not there forte I once threw away old green roast beef after that I got yelled at by my boss and he pulled the roast beef out of the trash and placed it back in the fridge(witch is not cleaned often might I add) and told me it was fine. Well at that time I went in the fridge and threw it away again and walked out I can be apart of giving bad food to people and not to mention they use low quality expired in some cases food. For your health and safety stay away from this place not to mention the food flat out sucks especially for the price. But hey if u don't trust me then try it yourself but take a good sniff of the food before you eat it you will find that some of the time it's well expired meat that may have been pulled from the trash. I will never go back! I went in there with my fiance for dinner recently and brought my own gluten free pasta to have them cook. I had called in advance to make sure this was okay and clearly expressed that I have a food allergy. Even when I ordered my meal, I continued to make it clear that I had a food allergy to gluten so when preparing my meal, to have the entire dish gluten free. After my pasta came out with breaded chicken, I was not able to eat it. Since I would have expected them to throw the dish away, like any other restaurant would do with an incorrect order that will be going to waste, I told them to package it up and my fiance would eat it later, since I had bought the pasta after all. They proceeded to charge me full price for the dish after they screwed up and told me that if I did not want to pay for it, that they would take back the entree. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one would come out. Finally, I spoke to a man claiming to be the owner, and was appalled by the way he spoke to me and the way he conducted his business. He demonstrated a lack of competency with the restaurant business and did not acknowledge the importance of a food allergy. He tried blaming the waitress and myself for the error, rather than taking accountability for his restaurant. I could have accepted the error with the pasta, but I could not believe the way the situation was handled by someone that claims to be a 'business person'. There are far too many other Italian restaurants in the area that do understand the severity of a food allergy, make a delicious meal, and provide exceptional service. read more

Went there this evening for a special dinner for our daughter's 18th birthday. Called ahead to make reservation for 7 people and made mention that it was our daughter's 18th birthday. Let me just say, this was not our first time there. Previous visits were positive experiences. Tonight, not one of those times. Service was absolutely horrible. Waitress had no personality. She never asked us if we wanted appetizers. Took our order and it took over 20 minutes to get our salads. We waited over another half an hour for our entrees. She never came over to ask my husband or myself if we wanted another glass of wine. Other members of the staff served us our food. We never saw her again. She never checked on us. Finally she came over and cleared our plates and gave us our leftovers. She left dirty plates in front of my husband and then we waited another 20 min and she still never came back. I had ordered a special birthday dessert for our daughter and it did not come. Finally I got up and spoke to the hostess and told her what a horrible experience we had just had. The hostess came in the dining room and cleared my husband's plate. The waitress still did not come over! I finally cancelled the special dessert and she came over and gave us check! We were never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert! It was a terrible experience and they only comped us 2 glasses of wine!!!! Very disappointing 18th birthday for our daughter. It will be a while, if ever, before we go back. Handled terribly by management. read more
