Of course the last thing you want is the check engine light to come on while your driving. At least the good thing, I was nearby the garbage which came in very handy. Called Harry to let him know what was going on. He was available for us to stop by and see what the problem was. Of course as we have used him for years, which we trust. He did and checked what was needed to see what the problem is. Before anything is needed or service, he lets you know beforehand. I'm sure they all do that but at least here we don't feel pressured. The service is alway great. Friendly staff and the garage area is clean. We normally leave the car on site and come back later if needed. You're not far from places so walking distance is good. Or if it's a fast check up, we just lounge around there. Great service is why we keep coming back for services. read more

I rarely ever do reviews so when I do it's for a very good reason. I had a cls550 and went to several places before I found Harry not only was he honest about what actually needed and not what monico said needed to be done. They said my car was leaking but I never saw any spots in my driveway. He I asked does it look like it's been leaking? He showed me the panel and of course zero leaks. he's always given a deal far better than anyone out there. My battery died on my 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500SL so I called Harry. He said he has a new AGM in stock come on in. I went in the next morning at 10:00am because I had to get jump started by AAA. When I got there, Harry directed me to park in the front part of his garage and said I could wait in his office. His mechanic stopped what he was doing and went to my car. I have a 2001 Mercedes E550 that was in need of a B1 service. I did some Yelp research for repair shops close to my home that specialize in Mercedes or German cars and found Harry's MBZ. Based on the ratings I thought his shop would be a good choice for a first try in the area. I had no idea of what a great find his shop would be. Prior to bringing my car in for the service, I discovered my car had a slow coolant leak, as well as some pronounced noises coming from the front end of the vehicle. I was not able to pinpoint the location of the leak without getting underneath the car and I had no idea what the noises were ,so I added those to list of items for Harry's shop to address. I dropped the car off after work and he got to it immediately the next morning. He called and gave me a progress update (something that is rare in my experience). He found the leak and figured out what the front end noise was. He fixed those issues and completed the B1 service quickly. The price for the repairs was much less than I would have paid at the Mercedes dealership and incredibly fair for the level of service I received. My car runs beautifully again! Went into this shop to get a diagnosis, I was not charged for it, however I was quoted around $450.00 to $500.00. I then went for a second opinion, I was given a different diagnosis, and was charged $110.00. It was done quickly, by a factory trained Certifed Mercedes Tech. with more than 30 years experience!! Now my fellow Yelpers, a lesson learned, here is some advice. If you go to an Attorney get another opinion maybe two more. If you need to see a Dentist get two other quotes for your treatment plan, this also applies to Medical Physicians, Surgeons etc. Body shops, Plumbers, before you spend your hard earned money do your homework, cautious, and be careful, this will save you a a lot of money through out your life!!! I was taking my Mercedes to a Mercedes Authorised dealer to be serviced for many years but when I moved to the valley I researched MBZ mechanics and Harry's came up!! After impulse buying a new car my brother gave me his '99 ML430 with 49K miles. I began my search for a local Mercedes repair shop within a 10 mile radius, many came up so I chose Harry's based on reviews and location. I'm an amateur mechanic limiting myself to Porsche so finding a Mercedes "expert" was important to me. Harry is a good guy and not at all pushy. He didn't try to sell something to me I didn't need or want. I had him do an oil service, a general evaluation of the vehicle, and run the codes. A CEL was on when I picked the car up but after a spirited drive back to Northridge from San Diego it went out on its own. Harry was impressed with the overall mechanical condition and did not charge me for running the codes, MBZ dealers will typically charge you. The low gear transfer motor had failed which is not uncommon as they are infrequently used. Harry gave me the choice of fixing it or not as it isn't critical to ordinary driving, just when creeping along in an off road situation. I opted to spend the $225 for the part plus labor as I wanted all systems operational. I'm very pleased and will be returning to Harry's for my regular service needs... read more
