Came here for a company holiday party and I've got to say their beef is pretty good. It's very tender but a little on the saltier side. I loved their mashed potatoes. Great to see an institution not resting on their laurels. Updated dining room makes this spot one relax and enjoy in for hours. Baked clams and buffalo mozzarella/tomatoes are great starters but don't be afraid to squeeze in the cacio pepe before your entree because it's on par with some of the best Italian spots in the city. This may be my favorite brunch place now. For how beautifully decorated and glamorous everything is (down to the menus), the price was surprisingly low. We did bottomless champagne brunch and it came to ~$45 per person, which is so much lower than even midtown. We got the swordfish steak, many sides, burger, and steak & eggs. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and our waitress was amazing on refilling the mimosas. There is a 90 min time limit and it felt worth it for every minute. Highly recommend! read more

Wow - just had a fantastic meal here!!! Let's start with the food. We started with a buffalo burrata, which the chef split for us without us even asking. It was delicious. So light and creamy. Then we shared the New York strip steak and potato purée. Cooked medium, the steak was flawless. The char on the outside was perfect and it was just fantastic. The potato purée was great as well. Then the cookies and cream for dessert is a cookie skillet with ice cream. SO GOOD! Now the service is on a whole other level! We came by because we read on Eater that the restaurant just re-opened after undergoing over $1M in renovations. It looks gorgeous and the service was really above and beyond. The all-you-can-drink mimosas are unfortunately gone, but Harry's still offers all-you-can-drink champagne with brunch. My sister and I decided to order a $7 carafe of orange juice so we could make mimosas. The carafe is a great deal considering most restaurants charge $4 for a small glass or orange juice. The brunch menu remains the same: yummy and huge portions. I was torn between the four egg omlette with home fries and toast and the cornflake battered french toast with fresh berries. Since we had been pigging out in New York for the last three days I chose the eggs, but I think my decision was on the boring side once I saw my sister's meal. My sister ordered the Benny and the eggs with the house made Canadian bacon. At first glance I was jealous of her poached eggs with hollandaise sauce... then I saw the Canadian bacon.... WOW! The Canadian bacon was more or less two pork chops of thick cut ham. Thank goodness she couldn't finish her plate and decided to share. My husband was suffering a food hangover as well so he just ordered the mixed berries. The berries looked excellent, but they paled in comparison to my sister's Benny and the eggs. Just because a restaurant offers all-you-can drink champagne does not mean you should actually drink five glasses. We made this mistake and fell asleep shortly after our brunch. I will be back to Harry's. The brunch is always delicious and I have such a weakness for champagne! read more

My husband and I came here with our 5 and 7 year old daughters for an after dinner dessert (and espresso martini). The staff could not have been nicer to us. We told the host that we were coming for just dessert, they started to sit us in the bar but then quickly redirected us to a beautiful booth so it would be quieter for the girls. We had a delicious ice cream sundae with all the toppings on the side so the girls could create their own sundae, they were thrilled. The espresso martinis were not too bad either. Thank you for being so kind and providing us the perfect nightcap before heading back to our hotel. This place is excellent, I wish we had dinner here too. read more

I've been going to Harry's since it was an old man bar in 1992. I have a lot of respect for Harry and his restaurant empire. This was first time having brunch there.the hostess sat us in a nice corner table. Our waiter was odd. He had hard time enunciating words and clearly communicating the sparkling wine with brunch arrangement. They basically give you a bottle with brunch - but they complicate that by instead just a continual 90 min pour. Problem with that is relying on service which was spotty. The blood orange juice was a great accompaniment to the champagne. We ran our of juice so I decided to opt for white peach. They delivered yellow peach puree to the table. It tasted awful. I mentioned it to the hard to find waiter on my way back from the bathroom and he barely acknowledged it and said he'd send the manager. Shes comes over to argue with me that it is white peach (bright yellow/orange) in color because that's what the bottle says. Anyway, they could have just offered to get me another blood orange but they insisted instead on arguing about it. No resolution, basically tough sh*t. Shockingly unprofessional. I left the drink the drink on the table and left the restaurant pretty irritated. Not going back. read more

Ordered mozzarella and tomato was average nothing special - had Cacio e Pepe pasta and it was excellent. Crab cake was also V good (albeit a small portion). For Entree the Beef Wellington was very good but was a bit too raw almost cold in center and oddly served w/2 fresh carrots that were hard and raw. When they say bottomless, they mean *bottomless*! Hands down one of my favorite boozy brunch spots in the city. Plus you get to enjoy your meal and drinks at an affordable price tag, without breaking the bank. Add on trendy decor and attentive service - what's not to love?! I made a reservation for a group of 6 for a friend's birthday earlier in the summer to celebrate her 21st with brunch and champagne. Our table was waiting when we arrived and we were promptly seated and served our first glass of champagne after we told our waiter we were interested in the 2 hour champagne brunch special. With complimentary drinks for 2 hours at no extra cost besides the price of your brunch entree, which are also reasonably priced, Harry's is the epitome of affordable. Our waiter made sure to constantly refill our glasses, which were never more than an inch empty throughout the meal. We also got a carafe of juice to split amongst the table to mix with the champagne. As far as the meal, I got the three egg omelette with toast and potatoes. Harry's has a bottomless brunch that you just can't beat ..... bottomless bubbles INCLUDED with an entree? Incredible! But Harry's advertises this deal nowhere, letting their marketing travel by word of mouth. Disclaimer though: do not come here expecting a rowdy boozy brunch. If you want to listen to loud music and dance on the tabletops, take yourself somewhere else. You can tell even based on the the cozy dark interior and warm decor, that Harry's doesn't want that scene and neither do its other diners. Now for the brunch itself... I strongly suggest ordering a juice for you and your crew for an extra couple bucks to help you down that champagne. My group of 8 ordered just two and that was perfect to add a splash of flavor to every glass. The champagne started out not all the bottomless and was a little slow, but then the food came and the continuous pours came with it. The food was great! I went with the eggs benedict because I can't see that on the menu and NOT order it. My meal was great, but the only negative was that my poach eggs were cooked through :(:( couldn't get that goooood fork-in-the-middle-tap-tap-yolk-runneth-over-onto-everything with a hard yolk. Regardless of overdone poached eggs, I will definitely come back to Harry's. Probably with my family too. And for dinner. Brunch again. I had a friend drop in last minute and I've been wanting to try this place for a while. It's out of my price range for a normal, non-expensed lunch. We went when they opened, the place was packed by the time we left. The ambience is fantastic. Service was good and lunch was well timed (no awkward waiting and we had enough time to catch up). I went in July. I started with a hot corn soup and had a shrimp salad for my main. The shrimps were huge! My friend had a special watermelon and feta salad as her main and it was plated so interestingly - the watermelon was a round slice on the bottom of the plate. Was it a nice lunch? Yes. Will I be back again? It will probably be a while as this definitely busts my typical lunch budget! For anyone who works in the area, I found it fascinating to find out how many restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. the owner of this place also owns in the area. Came here for my birthday brunch this past weekend. I was looking for something cute and simple and they offered endless champagne for brunch so I was sold. The service was great for the most part. Right when you enter the hostess checks your temperature. We all end up ordering the Steak and Eggs. Only problem was that I was the only one that ordered Medium Rare and all my friends ordered medium or medium well. BUT they all got medium rare some of their steaks looked bloodier than mine. I told them to ask to see if they can cook the steaks more to their liking, but they didn't want to bother even though I look on their faces seemed like they were struggling to eat the steak. The steak was a little tough as well. The rest of the food was ok. We ended up asking for some salt and pepper everything was a bit bland not really what I had expected. Sadly the only thing that stood out was the bread basket :/ For a bit it was hard to get someones attention for refills of champagne, but after I asked if it was ok to keep a bottle they were more attentive which was nice. The waitress was nice and gave us some more bread and butter to eat sadly more satisfying than the steak. We got the creme brulee for my birthday, but I don't think they are allowed to do candles anymore. That was actually pretty good. Overall service was nice, but the steaks especially with 4 of the steaks not being cooked properly made me knock rating down. The endless brunch is a good deal compared to most so I suggest trying the other items even though it is a steakhouse. read more

I was in the city last week with two colleagues and we had dinner here on a Monday night, rather early. We had our choice of tables, and the service was outstanding from the start. The old school ambiance was delightful and made even better when the service was also very old school. Our server recommended a number of appetizers and they were all outstanding - especially the tuna crudo. Each of us enjoyed the evening's fish special - halibut on mushroom risotto with some sort of truffle reduction. It was nothing short of perfect. We had the green beans as a side dish and they were so fresh and a nice combination of warm yet still crisp. There was no room for dessert after all of that terrific food, but I'll be back and will have dessert next time. read more

Highly recommend this steakhouse as this just immediately jumped to my top 5 steakhouses I have been too. The place has a great atmosphere, friendly waiters and the food was delicious. We ordered the Cajun ribeye steak, perfect temperature and a nice char on the outside, lobster cocktail as well as their beef carpaccio. The dessert cookie was a cherry on top. Came here for brunch last week, our waiter was super busy handling multiple tables and so it was difficult to get his attention. In any event the service was rushed, ordered a pasta, steak and a bunch of sides. All the food came out at once. The cacio e pepe pasta was on point and delicious, but the steak looked and taste like it was sitting in the kitchen for sometime and was served at room temperature. Very disappointed with the quality of meat which was veiny and fatty, especially for a ribeye which should have a good balance good balance of fat and meat. The steak was all fat and since it was served at room temperature, made it even more undesirable. The sides were nothing to wow about, the hash brown potatoes were under cook and frankly raw, the wilted spinach tasteless, thank goodness for the saving grace of the polenta fries. When the bill came, the waiter left the credit card machine and never returned, and so once the charges went through, i took my card and left. I wanted to order my steak without the asparagus or potatoes. I asked the waiter if I could sub for fries. He seemed hesitant. I told him that I could just order fries separately. However, he decided to ask me questions about why I wanted fries and not asparagus. He said specifically, "So you don't like asparagus?" I replied that I did, but wanted fries today. He kept on going about that asparagus. Then he said "so no potatoes either then?" ... I told him no. He looked frustrated. He was getting louder and everyone at the table could hear. I was embarrassed. All of my coworkers were able to order without any additional questioning. My boss broke the silence and said - "Wow! He was very aggressive!" "Steak frites is not that hard..." Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that.... When my food came, guess what came with it? Asparagus. His explanation... "I forgot to put it into the computer that you didn't want it." Don't believe that one bit. Got a tiny thing of French fries. Whole experience rubbed me the wrong way. I don't understand what's so difficult about me wanting fries?! Won't be back. read more

The ac was not working when we got there, and no one mentioned anything until we said it was hot. We had to continually ask for ice. The food was just ok. The chicken, fries and onion rings were good. The filet mignons we ordered, one medium and one medium well. The medium one was purple inside and had to be sent back twice. The medium well one came out well done and the waiter was arguing with me that it was medium well. Eventually he switched the medium well steak out for something else. The asparagus was over cooked. We ordered dessert and they were fine. I was surprised that a manager never came over, even though something went back and forth from the kitchen a few times and when they ovecooked the other steak. Nothing was offered for the fact that we all wound up eating at different times and had entrees and sides coming out at all different times because of the bad cook on the steaks. So I was in NYC for a few days visiting a buddy and he decided to take me here since we always like you"do it up. " It was hands down one of my favorite steaks that I've had. I steered away from my usual bone in rib eye and try the bone in filet and I was not disappointed at all. We got the creamy potatoes and broccolini as sides. The drinks as well were 100% on point and just made very well. Not overly strong but strong enough that you know there's alcohol in them lol. Over, this place is a must. So was recommended this by a friend for when i came to town for a client lunch and have to say was disappointed with everything but dessert. But even that felt like a surprise- negatively at the end. First i ordered the ny strip steak on the bone. I ordered medium rare - and my guest ordered the filet mignon. I got a side of the pureed potatoes, she got a side of the lobster shrimp fried rice. Needless to say - steaks both came out cold. Must have been sitting too long after cooking. Also the lobster fried rice had a lobster shell in it still... disappointing extra crunch for my guest in an overall disappointing meal experience . We decided to get dessert though after our meals- cause what client do you tell no to when they ask for dessert. Harry's ice cream sundae had an amazing description that said it includes espresso and a shot of scotch. Yes this dessert was amazing but then once the bill came i was charged extra for the shot. I made it here a little while back for brunch and never made a review but your brunch menu was delicious and your bottomless mimosas were exactly what we needed and more. So much so we came back for dinner on a Thursday night and were greeted immediately with the usual coat check and immediate seating. As per usual, staff was friendly and we were promptly asked about beverages and appetizers. We went with a glass of wine and the French 75 drink, oysters, and baked clams. Yum and yum! We both ordered the Filet Mignon with sides of lobster rice and broccolini to share. Service was prompt, the food was exactly as expected and more.
