Been wanting to come here for a while and finally did for a pre Valentine dinner. We started with the Cesar salad for 2. It was table side made and it was delicious. We had the dry aged bone in ribeye and the beef Wellington and boy it did not disappoint. The meat on both entrees were at a medium rare and it was melt in your mouth good. The truffle sauce on the beef Wellington was rich and full of flavor. It complimented the beef very well. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and it was precut for us. We added the mushroom and puree potatoes for our sides. We didn't have dessert as we were so full. The staff was very attentive and great to tending to us. The dining room was slightly dark to give it a more romantic feel and the decor gave it the old school steakhouse feel. We can't wait to return for the lamb chops and more of the beef Wellington.

We had such a nice experience here celebrating my besties birthday! Our server was the sweetest - so attentive and even brought over a complimentary dessert for our celebration. A great spot with cute decor and delish food.

I am pretty conservative about handing out 5-star reviews. I walked away thinking I would leave 4 but after really questioning myself, I really could not find a single reason why Harry's isn't a great restaurant.   I want to start with the staff. Wow, I loved the service. Host and server made good conversation and made sure I was well attended to. The host told me about how they film Law and Order SVU here, which I will need to tune in to catch. Server pointed out that my check total was angel numbers (it seems that I am undergoing a major transformation in my life) which I thought was cute. They do have a coat check at the door, and when I asked to take my leftovers home, they packed it up for me and gave me a ticket to pick up the packed up food with my coat at the front!   It was my first time here and I got a little confused because Harry's is in the basement, and Harry's Side Bar is street level. Just be aware of that. The restaurant is so classic New York and feels 'wealthy'. The lighting is a little lower and there are private pockets around the floor if you're looking for something quieter and more secluded. It's an environment that definitely oozes class, cool and calm.   For lunch I ordered a Caesar salad and the burger and fries. I was only able to get halfway through it before asking for the rest to be packed up, but what a solid meal. One of the best Caesar's I've ever had. The dressing on this is so perfect. The burger is big, with fresh, crunchy veg. Just solid. And the fries... loved them! I wish I had asked for a mayo/aioli dip because I know they would've paired perfectly. Instead of regular dessert, I opted for a cappuccino which was very strong, but tasty nonetheless.   I loved it here and I really can't wait to go back. Again, it is pricey, but they have decent lunch offerings and I would say a really nice treat to give yourself occasionally.

Had an amazing dinner at Harry's in the Financial District. I ordered the porterhouse, a seafood platter, and a Manhattan cocktail, and everything hit the mark. The steak was cooked just right, the seafood was fresh, and the cocktail was spot on. The place has that classic FiDi/Seaport feel (given it's on Stone St), and the service couldn't have been better. One of the better steakhouses I have visited in NYC!

The burger was so good!! I know this is a stale house but I saw another table get the burger and knew I had to get it. Went for my brothers and his wife's anniversary and was a perfect atmosphere for it.

Harry's at Hanover is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Lower Manhattan. A true New York institution since 1972, it perfectly captures the spirit of the Financial District -- timeless, polished, and full of character. The steaks and seafood are consistently outstanding, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. The bar is a standout, featuring some of New York's most talented mixologists. Some of my go-to dishes include the Blue Point oysters, mushroom bisque, onion rings, lamb curry, 28-day dry-aged prime bone-in ribeye, and the carrot cake -- all absolutely delicious. What makes Harry's even more special is the personal touch: it's not uncommon to see Harry, the founder, dining and greeting guests from his usual table. Whether I'm here for a business lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends, Harry's always delivers an exceptional experience that keeps me coming back. Wish I could give it 6 yelp stars.

The ambiance here is amazing! The star of the shows was honestly their sides, the Mac b cheese was super well balanced and the mashed potato outer was just amazing and not bland at all. The asparagus was perfectly cooked as well. They were out of a some of the sides and some of the cuts of meat, which is a little disappointing because it meant needing to spend an extra $20 for a cut of meat, but that just happens sometimes. The steak was a perfect medium/medium well cooked! The lamb chops were perfectly cooked as well but a little bland. Of course the loin was a little rare due to its thicker cut. The wait staff didn't really check on us, which was a little sad because it was my sisters birthday, but they were by no means rude at all. Dinner was about $300 including two drinks. Which were both decent. You also get a complimentary piece of Bread each. For a $300 dinner, it would've been nice to request some more bread or know that it was an option. This place is definitely quite nice for a fancy special occasion :)

Very classic establishment with good offerings. The interior is extremely romantic and cozy. We came to try their beef Wellington and it was decently good. I enjoyed the seared scallops and the Caesar is always a good one. Service was very attentive and they brought out a complementary carrot cake for my boyfriend's birthday. The cake was delicious and I would order it on its own, highly recommend.

This is one of our spots for a weekend, brunch. I love to go for the burger, which is on point and also the champagne brunch where you can for an additional charge order juices to accompany the brut, which is nice. The ambience to the restaurant is generally nice and when it is really busy, it does feel a little bit however, mostly it has been a really nice comfortable experience. Service is always on point. We have dabbled in some of the appetizers, haven't been particularly impressed however the burger is consistently executed. Recommend really great weekend spot. Nice and classy experience.

Came here due to a recommendation from a friend and I am so glad I did! The service was above and beyond . We had a cocktail at their sister bar, and the bartender took the time to walk us over to the restaurant and to the host stand. Every staff member was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Our water glasses never ran dry. Our waiter was so attentive to us, we felt like we were the only ones there. He even portioned our food for us onto our plates. The food was just as outstanding as the service. For starters we had the deviled eggs with caviar, baked clams, and tuna tartar. The clams and tuna tartar were so fresh and tasty. Our mains were the ribeye and lobster risotto (the special of that night). Everyone who comes here says they are known for their beef wellington, which although true, the waiters all agreed that the ribeye is the real show stopper on the menu. I am not a big steak person, but the ribeye was probably the best I've ever had. Of course the lobster risotto was delicious as well, and was a good pairing with the ribeye if you're sharing with someone. We ordered the creamed spinach, polenta fries, and madeira mushrooms for sides. I know fries at a nice steakhouse seems like a bad choice when there are so many other 'better' options on the menu, but the polenta fries are not your usual fry. They were more like thick cut potatoes, crispy on the outside, and soft, almost like mashed potatoes, on the inside. We also got the creme brulee and berries and cream for dessert. This was probably too much food to order, but everything was so delicious I don't regret it one bit, even though by the time I left I was so full I probably looked three months pregnant and I didn't feel hungry again until lunch time the next day. We also ordered cocktails which stood out just as much as the food. This restaurant is perfect for a date night or celebratory evening. The entire experience is worth the splurge. You will have top notch service and beyond delicious food and drinks.

Beef Wellington was top notch. Loved the old school vibe. Service a bit inconsistent with our main server on top of her game but drink service spotty

Birthday dinner celebration for two. I loved walking into this institution on a corner location giving old New York vibes in the historic financial district. The interiors delighted my visual senses - lush red booths, dimly lit glass liquor cabinet walls. Recessed dining area and elevated tables lining the perimeter of the restaurant. Overall, an atmosphere fit for a romantic or casual dinner. We both ordered the bone-in ribeye steaks and found it to be one of the best steaks we've eaten in NY. We had a few glasses of wine and ordered the trout deviled eggs to start. We also devoured a few sides of Yukon gold potato puree and fresh cut French fries. LOVE their branding on the plates, take away bags and the custom match boxes - always a nice detail. Luckily I had leftovers and was able to extend the enjoyment of Harry's the next day. Will definitely be back here!

    So they do bottomless brunch?

It's a 90 minute pour of spotty service, so no. You get maybe a bottle if you chase the waiter

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

It has easily earned a spot as one of my favorite bars of all time. The underground space flawlessly captures a raw, seedy, 1980s rock 'n' roll vibe, with eclectic decor that extends beautifully to the themed menus and custom glassware. Sitting at the bar was a highlight--the bartenders were fantastic, clearly proud of their craft, and they even humorously indulged my game of trying to guess the ingredients of each drink they mixed. The cocktail lineup is phenomenal. A few absolute highlights: the Purple Rain with its purple ice and peppercorn, the flambéed Dirty Dancing, a brilliant espresso martini riff called Flick The Bean, and Pure Temptation--which has glassware you just have to see for yourself. Don't miss this place if you're in NYC!

You need a password (easy to find online), and you go through a hidden door down a staircase. But it feels more like a novelty than anything else. NYC has way more iconic speakeasies, so this isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way for more than once. Nothing wrong with the vibe--it's Times Square, so you already know what you're getting--but it's definitely a one-and-done kind of spot. The drinks are good and super fun, but they're very extra (smoke, presentation, all that), so between that and how packed it gets, it can take a while just to get one cocktail. Didn't try the food. Overall, go for the pics and TikToks--it's perfect for that. I'd recommend checking it out once, but I don't really see it being a repeat spot.

Calling him a bartender almost feels like an understatement--he's a true cocktail craftsman. I was amazed watching him create drinks based simply on a few words or flavors we mentioned. It felt less like ordering a cocktail and more like collaborating on one. Of course, he also nailed the classics. The Clover Club and Gimlet were both perfectly executed, and my husband tried three different whiskey cocktails throughout the evening and loved every single one. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for from a speakeasy: dark, intimate, and unassuming. The space is small, which adds to the experience, although the bar stools are definitely not designed for settling in for a three-hour hang (my only minor complaint). But honestly, that probably helps keep the experience moving and allows more people to enjoy this special spot. Attaboy is a great example of why NYC has such a legendary cocktail scene. The drinks, the craftsmanship, and the personal attention make it clear why this place gets so much attention. We'll absolutely be back.

The concept is simple: tell the bartenders what type of liquor and flavors you enjoy, and they create a custom cocktail just for you. I think it helps to go in with a few ideas, but if you give them some creative freedom, they can really surprise you. I honestly cannot remember all the ingredients in my drinks, but I do remember loving every sip. Such a unique spot and a fun experience. Definitely small inside so you may have to wait awhile. I only wish I lived closer!

I didn't know what to expect but I loved the Broadway show and I'm always down for immersive events. So I arrived at the Press Room and saw that there was a bar with a couple of tables surrounding it. It seems to be where the kitchen is for all the wonderful food that Alamo provides during the in-dining movie experience. I had to approach the bartender to find out where exactly this party was and he instructed me to look beyond the large curtain to the side just as if I were searching for the Wizard of Oz. As I tugged myself behind the curtain, I walked into a decent-sized room and with balloons and the words, "Welcome to Emerald City" in the front of the room with a DJ playing today's hits and of course, songs from the Wizard Broadway show. At first, I thought this was going to be a dance party but soon realized that it was going to be a craft party instead. There was a station for making your own broom, one to make a friendship bracelet, and another one for letter writing along with sealed wax to use on the envelope with different stamps. I sipped away an Old-Fashioned in my souvenir Wicked cup while singing along to the Wicked soundtrack and making a friendship bracelet for my daughter. This experience was relaxing and joyful so now I know my type of party consists of a craft night. Close to the end of the night, I participated in a Wicked costume contest. I lost but nevertheless, I had a good time. Ended the night with an order of burger before heading home to show off my creations. I can't wait to check out their other events and come here again!
