Not sure if that is how you spell it. But its a closed bun and inside of it is beef and cheese. Almost like a cheeseburger instead the bun is like a jelly donut and instead of the jelly is broken down beef in cheese. So good!! This place is BIG with Polynesians & Pacific Islanders mainly for their fresh Kale sipi/moa & manioke or rice. Their curry lamb & curry chicken is made freshly & they have their own mango otai. Me & my family moved out of the neighborhood but still come here when we can because I kid you not, there is no other place in the bay area where they make curry lamb/chicken fresh out in the ISLAND STYLE. Theres a huge difference how Pacific Islanders make it & how Indians make it. The place itself is not large. They have about 5 tables that sit about 2 ppl and they have a table outside for those that wanna eat outside. You can def dine in but if youre a large group you might take up the whole venue. I usually order and go. Little history, this place has been in the Shoreview neighborhood for 32-35 years. It is owned by a fijian couple. The man was named Harry and his wife. Chicken curry and Lamb curry is good but I had take away 3 stars for the bug I found in my food. If I didn't put my food on a paper plate I probably wouldn't have noticed it. 09/27/23 We came and ordered a total of 5 plates, 4 plates of lamb curry with manioke and my plate was chicken curry over rice. I knew that they would make me a sandwich that was way better than Subway and they did in fact it tasted so good that I'm going back as a regular customer I can recommend Harry's deli to anybody because the food is delicious the people are absolutely lovely and everything is reasonably priced. When I went in and got my purchase I was the only one there and I thought that was odd because it's a great place and it it should have a waiting line like the other places but it didn't and that kind of surprised me because this sandwich was so good I haven't had a sandwich this good in a long time.... Curry is great and huge portion!!! They have lamb curry and chicken curry. Both are delicious but the lamb curry is my favorite.

Probably the most average tasting sandwich I've had in some time. Pretty decent sized for $6.00 and you get free chips. regular lays or sour cream and onion. TANGENT: I watched an old lady get pissed because they were trying to offer her free chips and they kept pushing the chips closer to her passively but she wasn't having it. I also saw a drunk guy come in, order one regular coors ( sub tangent: I have never drank regular coors or seen sometone drink reg coors in some time so that was wild) and talk to the owner. I love the vibe of this place. You walk in the door seeing a sign of them being in business years. A nice old American place where you can get a nice glass soda pop, a nice turkey and cheddar sandwich and a nice.....lamb curry??? Wait hold on, Lamb Curry?? This is why I love this place. I'm sick and feel like absolute crap, took an uber toward this area to rent a van/truck but plans changed. Since I was hungry I walked around looking for something good to eat. I'm familiar with the shopping center and have been for years but never ate here and decided to check for a place with good Yelp reviews...... I ordered' Harry's Special (chicken breast with garlic sauce), I took an uber to work and as I get to work I start putting some hot sauce and spices on the sandwich (GOOD THING I DID THIS) and on the very last piece of bread I find a HAIR. I've worked in the food industry before so I know stuff like this can happen and people can make it up too but I was disgusted and called them they said they would refund it if I bring it back...which unfortunately my uber ride cost more than the sandwich. A ton of freshly made, big sandwiches all for around $5. They even have kebabs and veggie options. Very small and limited seating -- it's better if you take it to go. Had their Larry Special on Dutch Crunch ($6.75), a big sloppy sandwich of a thick formed chicken breast with a garlic sauce that will leave you ready to face vampires or ward off unwanted attention from your office-mates. The taste was actually very good but the sandwich slid apart, making it harder to eat. It didn't help that the Dutch crunch bun was more like day old, so the overall experience was good but could have been better. I need to compliment the sweet and friendly service I got when I went in, along with a frequent diner card that gives the owner a free 10th sandwich. I have mixed feelings about this place. The quality of your sandwich really depends on the person making it. I try to avoid the larger latin woman. She skimps you on meat than drenches the sandwich in mayo. I paid for bacon and the lady only put one slice! One slice for an extra dollar? She's also not the most friendly. Don't let the name fool you. This may have been " Harry's Deli " at one point, but it is more than just a deli. The owners are Indians from Fiji. If you have any culture at all you know that Indians from Fiji are a unique people. I won't go into the anthropological impact of their existence, this is about food. Yes you can get sandwiches here, but it is ALL ABOUT THE poori and curries they have. They will serve up the bomb goat or lamb curry, or tin fish curry. The other's are self explanatory but the tin fish curry is canned fish which they stew and make into a curry, "AWESOME" make sure to order a bunch of poori before hand ( soft bread thicker and more oily than naan bread) so if you are looking out for carbs fo'get bout' it. Yes they are very nice when you come in. If you are from Fiji, or Tonga or Poly, they sell bongo snacks you bongo, and other snack brands usually found in the poly islands.
