Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The service was exceptionally poor. We placed our order at 8:45 PM, but we did not receive our main course until 9:50 PM. For over an hour, we waited, and the manager repeatedly told us that our food would be out shortly, but it never came. After taking our order, our waiter seemed to vanish. When I went over to him and inquired about his absence, he mentioned something about having a support team and he sent them over to take our order. Actually, the sommelier took our order. To make matters worse, he never apologized for the excessive delay. When I asked him to apologize for being so dismissive, he refused to take responsibility or offer any apology. Furthermore, when the food finally arrived, it was not hot and we found it to be satisfactory. In summary, neither the service nor the management met our expectations. Our check was discounted, but we were not there to save money. We were there to celebrate my birthday and it was ruined by this experience and the rude waiter and incompetent managers. We were there for my husband's b-day. I called ahead of time to let them know it was his b-day. We went with another couple. I was disappointed that they did not offer my husband a dessert on his birthday but in fairness they did offer him a lit candle. Our waitress was not very friendly nor did she live up to our expectations of a restaurant of this caliber. Having said all the above, the beef wellington was the best I had ever had. I asked for a bit of horseradish on the side. Our friends enjoyed their steak and fish however they did not like the creamed spinach, too creamy, needed more spinach. They also did not like the apple dessert. We got our bill and were shocked that a $1.50 had been added to our bill for the horseradish that I ordered. We were totally insulted that a restaurant of this stature would "charge" for condiments! I brought this up to our waitress and she said that was the management policy. I asked her to ask the manager to take it off. He did. All in all, the charge of the $1.50 for horseradish and the "not complimentary" b-day dessert put a real damper on our evening! I am sure that this restaurant could afford to ensure guests have a memorable evening by adding the complimentary dessert with lit candle and to be able to cover the cost of condiments, as most other restaurants do. It was our first time dining at Harry's and we were greeted with an extremely rude welcome by the host as we checked in. Overall we thought the vibe to be pretentious, average food at best and ambiance much to be desired. We tried the crab cake, wedge salad, rib eye, cacio e pepe and broccolini. Nothing was stand out, everything average or below. No fresh ground pepper was offered for the salads, the pasta bland, the steak chewy and did not compare to other steakhouses.. Even the bread is nothing special. The Bleu cheese stuffed olives in our martini were not Bleu cheese but some other type of poor quality flavorless cheese. The service is efficient in attempt to quickly turn tables. They were beginning to rush service along at the hour mark. The food and experience does not justify the value of the price and we will not consider returning as there are so many better options around! read more

Harry himself was there greeting his guests. Service was excellent. Our server Carlos was absolutely the best. You can tell when someone really enjoys what they do. He was accommodating & entertaining. Ambiance is classic yet classy. A real Empire State retro feel. Food was absolutely AMAZING,fantastic and delicious. Beef Wellington is A#1 seriously simply unbelievable & the mushroom sauce just tops it off. Sides are a great size to share. Cocktails are on spot. The whole evening was just perfect! I accidentally made a reservation for two and they accommodated the four of us. We had the smoked trout, deviled eggs and they were absolutely delicious. I did not love the house smoked Canadian bacon. Our four entrées were the beef Wellington, add a side of mushrooms, delicious, add a side of mushrooms to enhance to greatness.The blackened swordfish, super tasty. The duck, cooked to perfection. First time here ! Bartenders are usually my favorite, but unfortunately I had a hurtful experience I never had before. I was profiled based on my "size, gender, age, race, or socioeconomic status" over one glass of wine that cost $16 . I guess it's standard here to ask for your card if you ask for the restroom but I was the only one it happened to as I chatted with the patrons around me. Plus if there were any concerns then the bartender could have asked for over 2 hours earlier as I was sitting there with only one drink ordered. The bartender stated shady stuff happens there all the time and many people walk out of their bills even locals who have been coming there. I had no clue since new to the place and I guess it's a huge concern. I am a professional who has traveled to plenty of nice restaurants and I never have been profiled or treated like this before, but heard this happens to others. I was able to compose myself after I paid my tab ($16) because I realize what was happening and spoke to the manager immediately. The manager politely stated I did nothing wrong, apologized, bought me a drink, and noted it was inappropriate how I was treated. I don't want to pinpoint a specific name of bartender or manager but hope the bartender was spoken to so this won't happen to another customer. I only wanted a nice glass of wine from a long day of work online all day. If I come back I hope to receive respectful service to have a nice meal here, because I did hear good things about this place despite the low ratings. The restaurant is quite nice with a sort of Deco vibe. The staff were really wonderful , very gracious, warm and inviting. So there's that. The food is pretty ok and thats the problem. I remember going to the Harrys Bar in NYC and really enjoying everything. Here the food is acceptable but the pricing certainly does not align with the quality and the presentation of the meals. It was kind of meh. I recall the Ceasar Salad from their NY location as being pretty special, hear it's just some Romaine, Parmesan with a dressing somewhere underneath, The Branzino was ok a burger we ordered was run of the mill. Visited restaurant today with my companion for lunch. It was our first visit. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We started with the lobster appetizer. While fresh and good it was ridiculously small. We ordered the chicken parm sandwich and chicken paillard for lunch. The sandwich was only fair. The side of fries way overdone and inedible. The paillard was dry and equally inedible. My companion ordered a substitute salmon salad. The salmon was okay however the entire dish was swarming with onions which weren't indicated on the menu. Service was absolutely terrible. There wasn't a large crowd on this particular weekday yet we waited an inordinate amount of time for things like drink refills. We had to ask a total of three times for the check was a bit over $100 before tip, and we didn't have any alcohol. The meal wasn't worth a fraction of the price. Will never be back. read more

We sat at the table for at least 20 minutes before getting drink order. Asked for bread but that arrived after our entree. They discourage you going to the bar a half hour prior to your reservation, and want you seated BEFORE your reservation time. Then, as you're seated you need to order every course, quickly. Expect a 1.5H experience for 4 people, 3 courses. It begins with the bread which is a simple and plain roll with butter. Salads, small and simple, no fresh ground pepper offered and no salt and pepper at the tables. Appetizers, good presentation especially the lobster but small in substance. Crab cake simple but OK at best. Steaks, all simple. A topping? you get a "home made A1" as your only option and despite the dry aging lacking flavor, chewy, and once again missing that salt at the table to help make up for it. Had cacio e pepe served with the steaks and it had too much starchy water, overcooked, and not enough pecorino romano. Look at the picture a watery pile of mush. Sides, onion rings, broccolini, just average once again. We were so disappointed at this point we skipped dessert. I had high expectations and hoped to be my new favorite steakhouse in the area. This restaurant has been open that long so I thought I'd give it a shot you open the door. It is decorated beautifully, art deco feel the bars right at the front. The seating is very nice. The waiter, CAMERON was very enthusiastic and nice. I had the polenta fries which were delicious. Also the Bronzino, which was quite meaty and nice tasting and also one of the pasta dishes which was a small portion, but tasty with pesto sauce, the other couple had a steak which just ok they didn't really think it had a great texture or taste. We did not have any alcohol when we walked in they told me they knew it was my birthday, but they actually didn't do anything about it. Why bother asking me if it's my birthday why bother me writing it down if all they're gonna do is acknowledge that you're having a birthday I've been to many restaurants that bring you a little something out to make you feel like a special Day and a special client so I guess those days are over at least at this restaurant moderate to pricey they do have valet parking which they charge $10 for their sister restaurant right next-door. Enjoyed the greeting, friendliness and sort of "settle in and welcome"in kind of vibe. The drinks were great, albeit a bit slow to arrive. I get into, we were a large party. I'm a fan of getting drinks and apps ordered, while everyone is choosing their entrees. I just feel that the flow of the dinner commence very nicely, isn't rushed and feels perfectly presented course after course. What I did feel was a little rushed and a little chaotic because sometimes you can feel the nerves behind a new opening or new staff seating large parties for the first time. I also have lots of empathy and forgiveness for this. I do prefer a warmer attitude, and a more real style, where the host isn't trying to be pretentious, but it's just trying to be real and put the best food on the table that they can. Not a fan of a soft open dining experience if I want to pay for something, I'm going to pay for it because I love what I love and I want it that way,regardless of price. I was also quite taken back by some of the menu items like the beef Wellington it took me back to 1976 at my aunt's wedding. I wanted to take my best friend out to dinner at an upscale restaurant for his birthday and Harry's immediately stood out. The host was attentive and professional and immediately led us to a table tucked away behind the bar. The ambience was perfect for a high-end restaurant/cocktail bar and our server was super engaging, making great recommendations as well as checking on us frequently. We ordered a couple Old Mr. Johnson's to start (their take on an Old Fashioned) and they were superb. Not only were they served with a big ice cube (a good rule-of thumb for a place that cares about their cocktails), but these cubes were emblazoned with an H. I ordered the Squid Ink Linguine while my friend ordered the Barolo Risotto. The Risotto was amazing and the Wagyu Beef with it was as tender as can be. Since it was my friend's birthday, I discreetly asked the server if Harry's did anything special for a birthday and she said not to worry that they would definitely make it special. In any similar circumstance, that would mean at a minimum desert would come out automatically compliments of the restaurant. That didn't happen, instead we got the dessert menu handed to us, so I ordered the Creme Brule. The only special thing they did for the birthday was stick a skinny simple candle in the middle of the dessert. When I got the bill which was close to $200, it wasn't comped. This was surprising to me considering that any restaurant in which I have ever celebrated a special day has taken care of a dessert regardless of the size of the bill or exclusivity of the establishment. Its less about the cost of the dessert but the principle in this case which knocked off a star on a potential 5 star review since I took my friend on their special day to Harry's for them to make it even more special. read more
