Fun, eclectic eatery located in the heart of downtown Rome. The space is wide open and has a small, hometown feel to it with fun art and memorabilia hanging from the ceiling and walls. The menu is full of classic, comfort style dishes that will make you feel at home. Or server was a true southern belle with all the charm and kindness you would expect. I had a burger and it was delicious. This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to a perfect medium well as I had requested. The fries were also pretty good. They could have used a bit more seasoning but there was salt on the table!

Down in Rome this past weekend and decided to get into the Harvest Moon, as I had never been. Asking my girlfriend how it was, she just answered "okay". I now agree with her. This is a Southern Restaurant in a southern town. So I opted for a Shepherd's Pie from the St Paddy's Day menu. Yeah, go figure. It was rather bland. When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

Great lunch find in Rome. The staff was super friendly and super helpful. My wife got the Grain Salad. She pulled a few things off and changed the dressing and they were more than happy to accommodate the requests. I got the Cheesesteak, which was excellent. The steak was plentiful and the veggies were just the right amount. I haven't full jumped in the pimento cheese wagon as of yet, but it was a great addition to the sandwich. They had lots of sides to choose from. I jumped at the fried okra (made fresh) and was glad I did. It was outstanding! This was a cool place with a good vibe to it.

Nice menu selection. Very friendly staff. I have had the Grain Bowl salad sans egg, added balsamic dressing. Yummy! The first visit I had the homemade black bean burger, very filling. I love the big steak fries too. My pup ordered a side of bacon. Will return.

Harvest Moon Cafe is a charming eatery that truly embodies the spirit of farm-to-table dining. Nestled downtown in the heart of Rome, Georgia, From the moment you step inside, the cozy and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu at Harvest Moon is a fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend anything with their homemade pimento and cheese. Harvest Moon Cafe is a gem offering delicious food in a warm, welcoming environment. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a taste of local cuisine with a homey touch and don't forget their bakery right next door.

I was greeted and seated right away when I arrived, which set the tone for a great visit. I ended up going up to the "Moon Roof," where they had karaoke going on--it made for such a fun atmosphere! I ordered the salmon, which came with asparagus and a sweet potato soufflé. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared--the soufflé especially was a nice touch. Overall, the food was tasty, the vibe was lively, and I'd definitely return.

FULL OF FLAVOR! Thank you fellow yelpers for the recommendation. I planned a day of antiquing in Rome, GA with a friend and we LOVED our lunch. We started with the fried green tomatoes. The candied jalapeños on top of the goat cheese were a great added touch. My friend had the Red Headed Stranger burger and WOW- it was perfect just the way it is on the menu. I was teetering back-and-forth between the OMGBLT and the salmon patties, but since I had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, I went with the salmon patties. They did not disappoint! Also, the cheese grits get a huge notable mention as a side... Don't skip these! The place has a great nostalgic, flair and southern charm without being "country".

On a return trip home came across this rest on yelp. Took a chance and paid off. Great hamburger. Wife had chicken and loved the mash potatoes.

Lowering to three stars. Still a cute little place but each time we've gone it seems like we've liked it less. The deviled egg appetizer is always slightly frozen. The cole slaw is horrible. The soda was flat. The waitress seemed annoyed that my husband changed his drink and that I didn't like the coke slaw.

What an amazing place! I will Start with dessert, the Key lime pie was the best I have every had! The whip topping was so yummy!!!!! Everything we had was top notch. Our waiter was amazing, sorry I forgot his name. He had a unique name, hope that helps. I cannot say enough great things. The inside was cool. The band had started next door and the music just added to the experience.

Wonderful food and service. My half roasted chicken was spectacular. And the rooftop bar has the prettiest view in town.

On first impression coming in I felt like I went back in time to an old cafeteria for senior citizens, and it is kind of that way but it's open and airy with plenty of good booth seating. The music is depressing as it's all old mostly from the 70's stuff, which is ok but I don't like crying over my food usually! Bit of a joke there so don't get upset if you love it! The good news is the food is actually pretty good! Usually these types of restaurants actually do cater to the local elderly crowd and so sometimes the food is understandably bland but not so much this time. I was seated instantly (apparently seat yourself) and was greeted immediately by Kelci,, a great server with a very pleasant and beautiful smile and a very professional and efficient demeanor. I ordered the grilled catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The catfish was surprisingly good with a nice flavor (even though the filet was almost tiny, luckily I wasn't too hungry, it still tasted good and the tartar sauce is came with was perfect). The sides I had were mashed potato's (again, nice flavor but no gravy) and the green beans were pretty fresh even though probably from a can, and those were pretty bland. Funny thing is there were no bread options for the meal but it was lunchtime so maybe that's why? They also have a large selection of desserts which Kelci helped me pick through. I got a slice of German chocolate cake which was huge and delicious, I couldn't finish it. Also the tea is good old southern tea, I had the half and half because it's pretty sweet but that's the way it's supposed to be! Overall the place was very clean and smelled nice. There's ample parking outside and the location is convenient. I will probably come back when in the area but won't make a drive from where I live in Cartersville just to eat here. So overall I'm giving 5 stars for the excellent service (thank you Kelci), 4 stars for the food, 3 for the atmosphere (kick up the music to add in some modern rock or something!) and 5 stars for cleanliness, parking and location. Definitely recommend for locals and folks passing through.
