    Porterhouse Pork

I'd give this more stars if I could. What a great experience. We sat on the patio which was so beautifully scenic on 3 sides and had a window into the kitchen as the fourth (which was so cool!). The server was fantastic as well as the food runners. All incredibly nice, accommodating and speedy. It was my mom's birthday and we got free champagne as well as free macarons for dessert, which were both unexpected but appreciated and above and beyond. The food was out of this world! Not one bad bite in the bunch and we had a lot. The porterhouse pork and carrots really stood out as stars tonight for dinner. Dessert was hands down the baked Alaska which was incredible! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Order family style so you get to try more, it's worth it!

We got married and chose this restaurant for our private (just the two of us ) dinner. We were immediately greeted with champagne and THE BEST , most sincere service. The general manager Marcin was awesome. He was so engaging and made sure our dinner was extra special. Our server Alex was amazing as well. Thank you all so much. We will make it a tradition to dine here on our anniversary. Oh, the food was SO DELICIOUS. We didn't know a pork chop could taste so good.

Nancy loved the wine recommendations also.

Great experience!! The Veal chop was incredible. The strawberry shortcake built my Mari Flor with her original Baltimore recipe for the biscuit and whipped cream was THE BEST!! Thank you Alex for great service. We will be back.

Came with a reservation but probably was not needed as the restaurant was not fully packed. Service was very friendly and timely. We had various small plates which were all delicious. They have a good sized menu. 1. Salad - Fresh garden salad hit the spot for the green craving 2. Shashito peppers - Spicier than I thought they would be and had to take half home 3. Meatballs - Good sized meat balls with very tasty sauce 4. Oysters - Good variety, clean tasting Overall a good place to come for dinner if you are in the area.

Located inside of the Harvest Inn hotel, stopped in for a quick bite and drink once we checked in. By far, they have one of the most amazing happy hour specials. M-F 3-6pm great price drinks and food. Homemade chips were great but the Korean BBQ tenders were hands down the best item on the menu. I would have been happy eating those subsequent evenings. Fabian made an incredible Manhattan which was again at unbeatable price. We didn't eat there for any full on meals and only dined for HH at the bar but overall wonderful!

We were looking for a place in Napa along the trail close to our first wine tasting and stumbled across this place. It sits inside a quaint hotel surrounded by trees and a stunning landscape. We chose to sit outside to enjoy that and the wonderful weather. Everything on the table was very simple - nothing fancy. Looking at the menu though you realize just how fancy it is. All fairly simple breakfast items for quite expensive prices. The food was good but definitely not over the top. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was very simple but the added citrusy greens livened it up a bit. The bacon was a weird texture but tasted fine. The potato's were good but a little soggy which was a bummer. Service was fine but a little slow considering that they weren't busy. A good experience with good food and gorgeous atmosphere. If there was an option for 3.5 stars I would give it but the overall experience leads it to a 4. Would go back for the grounds and a snack for sure.

Shared a dinner for two last night. The salad was good. The bread was amazing. The tomahawk steak was huge! Also enjoyed the dessert and the broccolini. Our waiter was good and attentive. The restaurant is quite nice, as it's in a compound that looks like an English village. Overall, a great experience. Will go back.

You can't go wrong with dining indoor or outdoor! Both options provide a beautiful ambiance. Food was absolutely delicious! Jack, our server was amazing! He was very friendly, knowledgeable (you could practically taste the food as he describes it) and gave us some great recommendations--- they were out of a dessert item as he provided us with what was comparable. Evan too was super friendly and went above and beyond by finding out the brand and name of they crackers they were previously serving at their wine tasting. 10/10!!!

Harvest Table in St Helena was fabulous!! The choices of the warm beet and pear salad and the butter leaf herb salad were both very good. Next course the Trout or the Duck Shepherds pie were delicious! The trout melted in my mouth. The sticky toffee pudding was a slice of chocolate cake accompanied with a scoop of vanilla ice cream covered in a mouthwatering toffee sauce. We paired the meal with the Quilt Cabernet and the dessert was perfectly paired with a Merryvale dessert wine! The ambiance has a lodge feel with a large fireplace inside the dining room. Teo was our server a native in Napa Valley who was exceptional and had a wonderful sense of humor!! The Harvest Table sets a very high bar!!! Very happy!!!

Napa Restaurant Week 2024 brought us back to this hidden gem for another amazing meal! The beautiful dining room wasn't too full, and a fire was roaring in the rock fireplace, nice on such a stormy night. We brought some dear friends with us and we all appreciated the world class table service we received! We enjoyed a bib & herb salad or warm beets for a starter, both yummy. My wife had a whole roasted trout which was cooked perfectly and boasted fresh flavors of herbs and brown butter. My duck shepherd pie had deep, rich flavors of wine and spices and was topped with a parsnip puree and Parmesan. For dessert we all chose the sticky toffee pudding, a light date cake topped with warm toffee sauce and served with malt ice cream, sweet and decadent! We're told they're going to start a "locals specials" program, and when they do we will enthusiastically participate!

We sat at the bar and they gave my toddler a bag of toys to play with - incredibly kind. We started with the caviar/sour cream and onion potato skins and grilled oysters. Everything was delicious. We then had the little gem salad and the "beer can" chicken - I wanted to lick the plate. Sitting at the bar was great, it had an excellent vibe and did feel stuffy. Walking around the restaurant I could see the attention to detail while also maintaining a laid back neighborhood feel. Can't wait to go back

There was a bar in the middle of the room and table seating around the perimeter of the restaurant. The servers were very sweet and nice. A staff member told us that only the late dinner menu is available and handed us the menu to see if we wanted to still dine there. The menu was limited compared to their dinner menu but we wanted something to eat so we told the staff member that we were fine with what is served on the menu at the time and were seated right away. We started off with some alcoholic beverage. My wife really enjoyed her strawberry fields forever cocktail. She ended up ordering 2 more. I ordered negroni since I remembered I had it before but can't remember how it tastes. After taking a sip, I remembered why I don't order it. It was bitter which is how negroni is. I would have loved to try their old fashion but I was driving so only had the negroni and water. My wife and I each ordered the steak. I had my medium rare and my wife had her steak cooked medium. We both enjoy our steaks. It was very small but meat was extra tender and juicy. It had really good flavor from the cowboy butter. The fries were crispy and were also good. Our sons couldn't stop eating our fries. Both our sons each ordered the chicken tenders. The tenders didn't look dry and it came with 3 sauces that you can choose from (ketchup, ranch, or hot mustard). My kids opted for ketchup. They both enjoyed it but my youngest son didn't like the batter and took it off. For dessert we ordered the banana bread. The salt complemented very well with the caramel flavor and the ice cream. We devoured the dessert and would definitely order it again. In the end we really enjoy the atmosphere and the food and the staff. The food was pretty pricey for what we got on the late night dinner menu. We would definitely come back again to try their regular dinner menu when we are back in the area to compare the portion and pricing. If you are in the area and want a nice restaurant setting without having to dress up, I highly recommend this place. Just make sure to come earlier in the night to get their full dinner menu instead of the limited late night menu. On their website, dinner menu is served from 5pm-9pm and late night dinner menu is served from 9pm to close. They also have a brunch and lunch menu that starts at 10:30am and 11:30am and ends at 2pm.

The dining room was nearly empty, making it feel as if we had the entire place to ourselves. Service was warm, friendly, and professional without being stufy. Ambiance matches the food. You are enmeshed in a peaceful sanctuary, enveloped by the lush greenery outside. Soft, tasteful music accompanies. The food is very good, at times superb, with attractive, precise platings. Appetizers and shareables shine. Free Bread Course (5/5) - outrageously tasty. Some of the best focaccia I've had, with their absurdly good estate olive oil to dip in. Difficult to not eat too much of this. Meadowood Farms Spring Green Salad (5/5) - $22 - Ridiculously fresh vegetables picked from Meadowood's own garden. The top-level freshness reminded me of vegetables at Single Thread. Globe Artichoke Confit (5/5) - $26 - Perhaps my favorite dish of the evening, oozing umami flavor, with crispy trumpet mushrooms and artichoke hearts swimming in a bed of delectable tomato concasse. The accompanying estate olive oil is some of the best I've had. Liberty Farms Duck Leg Confit (4.5/5) - $42 - Tough for me to ever pass up duck confit, and this version did not disappoint. The accompanying blackberry beet reduction was perfect. Arroz Caldo (3.5/5) - $19 - The only slight disappointment of the night. The shredded chicken was moist, but the ginger favorite was overwhelmed by the overabundance of salt. Chocolate Pot de Creme (4/5) - $16 - Pretty good, with rich, deep chocolate notes, but we were probably too full at this point to fully appreciate. That and the fact that they have never been to Napa/Sonoma Area in their 36 years in America, meant that my brother and I had to plan a trip. My brother selected Mustards Grill. It was along the way to our reservation to Beringer and continently along St. Helena Highway. Despite hearing about Mustards being a staple within the Yountville area, it was so my first time trying it too. We had a reservation for 4 and after getting taken care of by the courteous host and being welcomed by our waitress, we were left with waters and the menu. To get the most of the experience, my brother thought we should all share several items. We shared their famous Pork Chops, Duck Confit, Ribs and Cornbread, Squash Risotto, and a side of Green Beans. We were offered fresh bread and butter prior to the arrival of our entrees and shortly after enjoying the soft pillowy bread, we were ready for more. My parents, being Cantonese and coming from the restaurant background, really care about having fresh and quality ingredients and letting the flavors shine - not letting sauces dictate the dish. Despite it being American fare, they quite enjoyed each dish and went back for additional helpings after giving a small initial taste of each item. Our visit to Mustards Grill ended up being a joyous meal where my parents got more exposure to the wonders of quality American cuisine as well as marked a good start to the day we were spending in wine county.

The atmosphere outside was lovely and much more enjoyable, as the dining room inside was surprisingly loud during our visit. The sourdough was good, though it definitely leaned heavily into the tangy side of sourdough. If you enjoy a strong, sour flavor profile, you'll likely love it. The miso Caesar was the dish I was most excited to try. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and there were moments when the flavors came together beautifully. However, I found the dish somewhat inconsistent. Some bites were perfectly balanced, while others were overwhelmed by the miso, making the flavor profile a bit uneven throughout the salad. The fries were absolutely incredible and tasted homemade. They had a perfectly crispy exterior with a pillowy soft interior, creating the ideal texture in every bite. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly executed, they were easily one of the highlights of the meal. The true stars of the evening, however, were the burger and the steak. Both were cooked to perfection and showcased the restaurant's ability to let high quality ingredients shine. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and expertly prepared. My only wish was that caramelized onions had been available, as I think they would have elevated the burger even further. Unfortunately they were unable to accommodate that request, but they were happy to provide raw onions on the side, which was appreciated. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and packed with flavor. These were the dishes that stood out most to us and are what we would recommend ordering without hesitation. Overall, Charter Oak delivered some memorable dishes, particularly the burger, steak, and fries. Combined with the beautiful patio setting, it made for a very enjoyable Napa dining experience.
