The clientel that frequents the place that buys the premiem drinks and food are mostly non- rap fans. I put money on the jukebox and the waitress clicked on a device and my songs did not play. So it's a cool neighborhood restaurant but I witnessed the worst customer service I ever seen. The nice female customers had a complaint about a drink not being the actual drink they ordered. The bartender(Eddie) became negligently offended and overly explained that he opened a fresh bottle of the particular brand liquor (Patron). Then went into explaining how Patron is made and stated if the customer was a connoisseur of Patron they would know how it's made. Then the bartender made an accusation that the customer was an alcoholic and not a connoisseur if they drink Patron often. Eddie made accusations and attempted to created a situation that the two women were not participating in. He even suggested that they leave. I overheard the woman say, "Listen, it's not that serious. We live in the neighborhood and come here often." The owner did come and get an understanding and cleaned up Eddie's mess he created. The nice ladies stayed calm while Eddie still continue to taunt them, and they insisted on paying for everything they ordered. Good people should be treated with respect. This was my first time here. I got the Tuesday special, , and then I checked in and received an additional 10% off. They get points just based off that, a lot of places have stipulations to the "check in" discount. On to the food, I got that wine cheeseburger it was amazing. I got my bread extra toasted. The location is in a strange area and good to know there is parking in the back because there is very few spaces in front. No ambiance unless you like very loud music and voices. A few of my friends and I stopped by Harvey's for food and drinks 5/20/2022. For many of us this was our first and last time spending our money at this establishment. One of the employees accused us of cutting up the stools that we were sitting in, he stated that he was going to check the cameras as the stools were new until we sat in them. We were told to go back where we came from by one of the customers, he was white and my friends and are all middle aged black women. The whole experience was horrible!! Here's the thing: I love dive bars. This place is IT. Tiny lil dirty, cozy bar. Pool tables, darts, sport ball games on tv, great tunes on the jukebox, friendly bartenders. We watch our Wineburgers get tossed onto the griddle, along with a giant pile of onions, getting slow cooked with wine while we sip on cheap beers in ice cold glasses. Don't get the Super Delux Wineburger unless you're REALLY hungry. These burgers are hearty. Especially since they come with fries. And you know you're getting a drink or two. Onion rings are pretty alright, so get those if you're still hungry. We came in on Friday night and got to watch the adorable cook dance and sing to Bruno Mars blasting on the jukebox. You should come for this alone. Such a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or late night shenanigans. Personal sidenote: I told my mom I came here and, like everything else I think I've had a first experience at, she very calmly informed me that I've already been when I was young. I love my parents. I've going to Harvey's whenever aIm in town and enjoyed the burgers and the service, But yesterday , the waitress / bartender was rude. I was on an important text regarding cancellation of my reservation in a resort place and I was not ignoring her when she served my food. She in a rude tone told me to move my sunglasses away. There was plenty of space where she could set the plate . She also said that she did not want to set the plate in my my glasses. Why on earth would she do it that if she could? It left a bad taste in mouth and I did not eat my patty melt. Is it because I'm Asian and not Caucasian or is it because she is overwhelmed with her job? Okay, so the burger was delicious but I can't return for a few reasons. First, the waitresses weren't social distancing nor wearing masks, which is know isn't a requirement, but it's a preference. Second, the patrons were not following any CDC social distancing or related protections; I do believe an establishment is supposed to enforce these, but I saw two people cough, wipe their mouths, and then use the front door to leave! Third, we paid for the upgrade to onion rings, and, upon getting home with our tied bag of takeout items, didn't have onion rings at all, just mushy fries. Once again, these were paid for. I've been coming to this amazing burger place since I saw it several years on a dining show. I surprised to see it as a little whole in the wall bar. Although I have been enjoying their burgers a couple times a month, it is a bar and not meant as a fine dining establishment. All the tables except 1 two person table are high, with high chairs. For those who have unseen diss abilities that cannot sit high long enough this is not the place for you. When I asked if there could be a plan to change to accommodate, in a very condescending way I was asked if I thought they should change for me. I will no longer go to this establishment again. Was never greeted and after 5 minutes I addressed the bartender whose been in front of me the whole time. She responded with, yeah. I ordered and waited 20 and I noticed no one was cooking. I asked about my order, and it was only started after I complained. She responded with; I just put the order in ( as if to say it's not my job) I waited 40 more minutes.
