Filling, well portioned, and unique! The carnitas hash has consistently been a favorite of mine, the meat is flavorful and the toppings are perfectly paired over seasoned potatoes. This is a Chef Joey Maggiore restaurant, so you know that it's going to be bold and loud. It's a great place to go for brunch! The decor is very black and white, kind of '80s graphic comic book style. There's some blue neon, disco balls, and even a sequined wall. There's a DJ booth in the corner with a giant neon hashtag over it. This place has a pretty amazing cocktail menu with some pretty amazing presentations. There is a Bloody Mary bar with tons of stuff to choose from to make your Bloody Mary exactly what you want. We chose two really delicious things from the menu, although I imagine most everything is good. I know everything sounds delicious. We had Christina's tamale cakes, which is a wonderful concoction of sweet corn cakes with green chili pork, eggs, topped with green chili hollandaise. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. We also had the chile relleno hash. A potato and black bean hash with green salsa and egg,topped with a chile relleno. Whoo boy! This was an excellent experience. I walked in around 8:30 this morning, and was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. I chose a table instead, and was immediately seated. Service was 10/10. My server was very nice to interact with, prompt with my drink and my check, and was just lovely overall. If you know anything about me, you'll know I'm a fan of biscuits and gravy. Luckily, Hash has this on the menu! The biscuits are a bit sweet, but holy Moses are they good. The gravy is deliciously savory, and the sausage was flavorful. I also indulged in their orange juice. Probably the best OJ I've ever had, honestly. The restaurant itself was really nice! Spacious, good lighting, comfortable seating. They also have an outside seating area that's covered, so that's pretty neat. Pricing wise, it's pretty standard. With tip my total was right around $30, so form your own opinion on that one. The parking was also a cinch - plenty of spaces available. All in all, definitely give this Hash Kitchen location a try. Food, service, and energy is always great here, however, it was quite uncomfortable and unpleasant this morning as there were copious amounts of flies buzzing around. There were even several that were landing and hanging out on my grandmothers hair... Would have been a much better experience had we not had to continuously shoo flies away the entire time to keep them away from us and our food. I just wanted a nice Sunday brunch with my family, but when we walked in the music was so loud, the hostess could barely hear me say our name to add us on the list. Decided to sit outside thinking it would be quieter than having pounding music to scream over, but it's pretty loud outside too! They should rethink this a bit. It's brunch...not a NIGHTclub. Take the volume down a notch. The menu was different but very decadent. Every dish is over the top and with a price tag that reflects that too. Even the avocado toast was enough to feed the whole family. Portions are way too big. The food tasted good but it was way too many calories and overly rich to sit in my stomach all day. We didn't order alcohol but there is an extensive menu of cocktails that are also extremely creative. That may appeal to a different demographic than what my family of 4 was looking for. They get a few stars for food and creativity, but the vibe here wasn't for me. I'd enjoy the food more if the portions were healthier and the price adjusted accordingly. I wish I had the same experience here that others have had. Got seated quickly in the patio. Things went South quickly when we asked the waitress/bartender if we could move to another table to catch some Sun. She said sarcastically, "You want to sit way over there?!" We told her yes, so she rolled her eyes, stomped off, knocked a chair over and kicked it out of the way. Then she returned and said, "Your table is ready, you can move yourself there." I was already shocked that this grown woman was throwing a tantrum over 10 extra steps but when I heard that we walked out. There was one couple sitting at the bar and a small party at a table. Other than that it was just us. So embarrassed for her and this restaurant. I was very polite with her and couldn't believe that she was acting this way with us. Will never be back. Brunch on Saturday with 5 other people. The biscuits and gravy, Birria Hash and the Chiliquilis were really, really, subpar. To the point that we did not finish our meals. We have no reason to go back. On a good note, our waiter gave us a 30$ credit. Honestly he should have comped the whole meal save for our drinks. Our group of four gathered on the patio (Sunday 4-19 @ 2:25p - 3:50p) - one had a pretty decent salad - the other 3 opted for brunch choices. 1 had scrumptious chicken and waffles another a decent BBQ chicken salad. 2 of us ordered combos (select three sides) both had pancakes that were somehow thick rubbery and raw at the same time. Our server E.J. put an order in for replacement pancakes, and they came out the exact same so I just ended up cutting the fringes of the pancakes off to try and eat something along with my now cold eggs and sausage. At least we were able to put the short stack mush-mash on the next table, so the flies could enjoy it and bug us a bit less. I asked E.J. what the chef said about the reason for the pancakes and he hadn't even asked. I was confused and just stared at him until he said "oh but I can ask" and I said "I'd appreciate that so that I can know if I'll be returning or not". He said the chef mentioned "the batter is pre-mixed and sometimes it comes out like that when it's undercooked" and again, I was confused and stared at the lack of accountability or follow through with any layers of Customer Service resolution. Checking out was hilarious as E.J. was super cheery and I wondered if he had confused our table with another, NEVER offering to take any $ off the bill. Some of my party asked if some could be taken off the bill on my behalf and we were told that since my meal of $10 was made up of several parts and only the pancakes was subpar then it would be like I was getting the whole meal for free" HUH? But I could leave my name and then on a future visit I could be given a discount. . . . what future visit?!? The irony is amazing that we passed so many different restaurants to go there because I just had to have breakfast, and still had to go home and cook because the meal was ghastly. read more

We had a delightful brunch at Hash kitchen. I had Melina's eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked exactly. SI asked. My husband had the AF breakfast with eggs, potatoes, pancakes, and bacon. He ate every bit of it. The other couple had the omelettes with peppers and onions served with toast potatoes. We also shared the boujee biscuits served with three different types of butter. Was able to stop by here for a family brunch before heading g back to cali and for the most part it was an excellent experience. We had a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. I took off one star for for the large number of Flies in the outside patio eating area. They had water misting systems but that wasn't enough to keep the flies away. Had them land in a few drinks and In some food so they get that fixed and they should be good to go. I definitely found this place to be a trendy and hype type of spot. As you step in there's lots of bold colors and words. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which is greatly appreciated. Can't go wrong with a friendly guy serving ya food. The food was good, the meat from the hash was tender and flavorful, just very very greasy. I wasn't impressed by the chicken and waffle at all sadly. The chicken was very stringy and dry and the waffle was just dry and cakey. Went on a weekday morning around 9:30am. Not busy which was nice. Our waitress was nice but definitely seemed annoyed that we didn't order kids meals. My kids just don't eat that much for it to be worth the money. We ordered the Birria hash ($21) and pancakes ($11). The Birria was excellent, I would order that again. The pancakes were OK. The maple syrup was really weird. Very, very thick, and it almost looked like plastic saran wrap. It was almost impossible to dip the pancakes into the syrup because it all clumped together. It was not appetizing. The syrup did not taste good. It kind of reminded me of slimy boogers. I would highly recommend not ordering anything you need to syrup for at this restaurant. It was completely upappetizing. I also wasn't super impressed with their menu. Pancakes, and waffles didn't really come with any protein options. There didn't seem to be any regular breakfast item plates. Definitely a trendy breakfast place if you're into trendy. I think they have a sister company Sicilian Butcher which I've been there too and it's fabulous! Not only is the food absolutely amazing and innovative, fresh and delicious.
