1/29/26 Parking 5/5 Big shopping day, we were in the area and I had a major hangry going on. We returned for our second visit because of our last great experience. Parking 5/5 Arrived ~9:00 and sailed into a space near the entrance without hunting. Atmosphere 5/5 Eggs & Joe is a bright, nicely decorated modern restaurant that is well kept and comfortable. Staff add to the welcoming atmosphere. Service 5/5 Another great experience during our visit. Today we had the pleasure of being served by Jay who wasn't Joe like his badge Egg N' Joe says. It all worked out, Jay or Joe finally got his humor on and we tested our quick-wit throughout. Jay you're cool! I have to say I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Egg N' Joe. In the past, this was one of my favorite breakfast spots, so I was looking forward to coming here with my mother. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing like the ones I've had before. Our food came out incredibly fast, which made it feel like it had been sitting or was rushed through the kitchen. Sadly, both of our meals were undercooked in some areas and burnt in others, making it difficult to enjoy. The service also felt very rushed. While the staff wasn't unfriendly, we didn't feel like we were able to relax and enjoy our meal together. It's disappointing because I know this restaurant is capable of much better based on my previous visits. I truly hope they can improve and return to the quality they once had. 6/13/26: if I could rate the food & service separately, I'd give the food a five and the service a three. Drinks: The orange passionfruit juice had a wonderful flavor, better than the cran mango, I thought. Food: the German pancake was delicious (it was crepe like, but also reminiscent of an airy soufle) -- and it was huge; no wonder it was "pancake" vs "pancakes"! My sister enjoyed her potato cakes as well. Service: lacking. Their patio had misters so despite the heat, we opted to sit outside (being shaded helped); otherwise, we would have had to wait because it was pretty crowded. After being seated, the server (who I'm choosing not to name here) came out a few minutes later for our drink order, and shortly after brought them out which is when we ordered our food. Food came out about 10 minutes later, brought out by a different person. I was so astounded at the size of the German pancake it did not register that they brought me bacon instead of the sausage links I ordered. Figuring our server would come out shortly to check on us, I waited ... 20 minutes passed, he remained M.I.A. I went inside & spoke w/ the hostess, who was apologetic & brought the links out immediately. A minute or two after, lo and behold our server appeared to fill up our water. I should have asked for the check then, but I mistakenly thought he would have noticed the stacked dishes on our table, as well as the almost empty plate in front of me; an observant server would have thought "they're close to done, I'll bring the check". My wife & I both had the German pancake with strawberries, bananas & blueberries - they were delicious, as were the eggs & sausages. I also had Bloody Mary's which were also terrific! As good as the food was the real winner today was our Server, Lyndsie. She was absolutely the friendliest & most attentive server we have had in any restaurant. One of the most impressive things about Lyndsie was the fact that when she brought our bill she asked if I was Military or a Veteran. I am a Veteran but forgot to mention it ahead of time; no other server in any restaurant has ever asked me if I was a Veteran prior to offering the Veteran's discount. She is most impressive & represents the restaurant well. Food, service & atmosphere will keep us coming back to Egg N' Joe! read more

Been wanting to come here for a long time with no work today decided to come here after the gym. Our waitress Karen was so friendly and helpful. Walked us through the menu so many good options to choose from I went with one of their featured omelettes and it was absolutely delicious the coffee was excellent. I enjoyed everything I had. First of all the restaurant was super clean! I mean I looked around for those typical messy spots - like the over flow spills in the dirty dish bins - nope, every was clean and tidy @9:30 AM on a busy Saturday! I ordered the German pancake with eggs and sausage. Everything tasted fresh, even the pork sausage links were flavorful and fresh. Overall this restaurant felt more like a mom and pop place than part of a chain. Our server Brandon was on top of things refilling our coffee cups without our having to ask. Had some things to do in Gilbert and stumbled upon this gem. It was busy the whole time we were there but we got seated right away. The service here was awesome. They were friendly, fast, and informational. We had the hungry rancher breakfast and chicken fried steak and eggs. Both plates had a lot of food and it was all really good. This is a modern style breakfast ambiance with holiday music playing. On a side note, because we're 1st time customers we were given a letter of welcome and a coupon for the next time we are back. Had a great experience at Egg N Joe. We arrived at around 9:45 and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was crowded with just a few tables left so we're glad we got seated quickly. I noticed an hour in is when the wait was getting long. When we got seated we were quickly greeted by the staff and they were super friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered a make your own omelette with a side of hash browns and fruit. The omelette was made perfectly with the perfect amount of cheese and other stuffings. On a weekday in December, I visited this location for the first time and was immediately sat as a party of one. Pleasantly surprised as during the snowbird season it can be hit or miss on a weekend day, especially delicious breakfast locations which I had this bookmarked to try after other Yelpers raved about it. The seating is an open room so it can be a little loud, but I was thankfully seated at a booth on the wall to lessen the noise. My server was incredibly friendly and helped me decide on a wonderful Bloody Mary to celebrate my post-surgical follow-up appointment. We take monthly trips to the eye doctor in Gilbert (we are from north mesa) and we accidentally found Egg N Joe. We really LOVE this place. The only place I know that had potato pancakes (now loaded hashbrowns), and a German pancake that reminds me of the old Pannekoeken Huis! We were greeted by the owner, who was SUPER nice. My husband and I decided to try a new-to-us brunch restaurant and we're so glad we landed on Egg N' Joe! We visited on a weekend and were welcomed by a friendly hostess right away. There was a short wait before we were seated. Once seated, our server came to greet us and take our orders. The good: So.. portion sizes were big, seating (although packed) quick, coffee passable (nothing spectacular) The Not-so-good: I had the chicken fried steak breakfast: sausage gravy was not good and the "flakey biscuit" was also not good. My mom saw an ad on TV and thought it looked good, so we decided to give it a try. We went at noon on Saturday and were seated right away. The restaurant is cute. They have booths in the middle of the room, which I thought was really nice. The menu has a great variety to choose from. We each decided to go with an omelet. I got the hashbrowns with mine and they were cooked to perfection. The biscuit is so soft and fluffy, and the omelets were full of ingredients. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive. He did a great job! We each enjoyed our meals a lot. On our way home, my dad said, "This is my new favorite breakfast place." No doubt we will be back soon. I think we're all looking forward to trying the German pancake next. My dad served 22 yrs in the Air Force, so a lot of times when we eat out, he'll ask if the restaurant provides a military discount. He didn't ask this time but noticed when we got home that he was given the discount. He's thinking because he paid with his USAA card, the waiter provided it on his own accord. How awesome is that?! Now THAT is excellent customer service! Going above and beyond. Thank you, sir! I wish I could mention him by name. He did tell us he's been working there for four years. Super slow service! We could literally see our server sitting down doing silverware and not even looking up to see if we needed anything. It took over 15 minutes to take our order, and no refills during my meal until I had to literally get up and walk over and ask the server for one. Also, there was no cheese in the Santa Fe omelet. I didn't get bacon, it would have been nice to have some cheese instead of just egg and green onion. Also the hash browns weren't cooked all the way and the English muffin was burnt. Just an all around bad experience. We were with my 80 year old dad and it's hard for him to sit there and wait so long to eat and check out. We won't be back. read more

I was able to snag a bite or two of the potato cakes and they were really good too! The Benedict I had was okay. For the price, I won't order it again. The crab meat was lacking and the overall flavor was pretty bland, sadly. However, I will be back to try more menu items. We sat outside and finally enjoyed our amazing 80 degree Arizona weather!
