Well I was pretty optimistic about this place. We frequent the corporate juggernaut coffee place next door and walking by this place it smells very good. So we decided to try it. First off it is very very loud in here. Between the sounds of the gas fired grills to the clanging of the cooks and the radio in back ground just very hard for me in here to hear family talk. So loud we had hard time ordering because I couldn't hear lady and she couldn't hear me. Almost had wrong order and I caught it when she read it back to me. Very close to 2 out of 3 of my kids not getting to eat. And in the end I think this led to them not putting noodles in one of the kids meals but they did bring out a bowl of noodles for her later. And this is like a fast food hibachi place. So you don't watch the cooks prepare it with a show. My opinion they should of put the kitchen behind walls with some insulation and the overall experience would of been better. Food: wife and kids had hibachi bowls. Steak for kids and shrimp and chicken for the wife. I tried their sushi rolls. Kids said it was ok and then proceeded to pick around almost all of it. But they liked the noodles. (The youngest kid liked it all). Wife's shrimp was over cooked and could bounce with the best of bouncer balls. The chicken was ok. But the rice was cold. The sushi rolls we just ok as well have a pretty limited amount of rolls only. Very similar quality to the fast food sushi rolls from eatzis or the grocery store. My wife valued her bowl at a " $5.99 tops". Not the approximately $11 they charge. We probably won't return. read more

Bland, slow, mediocre. This place was absolutely dead on a saturday night at prime dinner hours. Even though we were pretty much the only ones there, it still took around 30 minutes for our food. When it came out, my steak hibachi bowl was dry and flavorless. Wouldn't try it again. read more

I had the hibachi chicken and a California roll. The chicken was a good portion of everything, veggies and rice. The chicken didn't have a good hibachi flavor- it didn't taste bad it just didn't have much flavor. The chicken. The veggies and rice were great. Now ther cali roll. Im a little ashamed to say that yes I've needed a sushi fix while in a grocery store and have pick up some sushi while there. More than once. I'd have to say I've had much much better store bought sushi than what they serve here. I would come back if I wanted a good value hibachi they give a very good portion. But I'd never order sushi here again. Also this really seems- to me- to be a quick in and out style place. A place to grab a quick lunch or run by on the way home from work. Kind of how I see a pie5. This is a pretty nice hibachi alternative here in the TC. While it is dine in and as clean as a Pei Wei, I would probably take my wife elsewhere on date night. That being said, I expect to be here regularly as I work in the area and need non-burger, wing and pizza alternatives. The hibachi bowl is decent sized and I tried the shrimp. Shrimps were go sized and well prepared, sometimes regular hibachi places overcook. I liked being able to increase my protein portion and sub egg noodles over rice. Brown rice would be a nice addition. I'm a Texan, meaning a lover of iced tea, and liked their tea, though could have been a bit stronger. Pricing was a little higher for ambiance but cheaper than full on hibachi. I grabbed hot sauce and low sodium soy for meal. I also appreciated the organization, thought and cleanliness of the condiment area. When the area is trashed, it makes me worry about the kitchen. read more

So it's about what we were expecting. Kind of a fast food version of Japanese. It's definitely a step above Panda Express at least, but our food was just so-so. Hubs had the steak hibachi, meat was a little tough and no seasoning really. I had the shrimp hibachi, shrimp weren't really seasoned either and the veggies were ok. This place has my favorite sushi outside of Dallas or Ft. Worth! We got the kids chicken bowl with noodles for our daughter and it was fantastic. It was enough to feed an adult for under $7. We also got the Hashi, Cowboy, and Phoenix rolls. The Hashi was my personal favorite. The place is an order when you enter and seat yourself kinda place. Long story short, we could only eat the meat and vegetables but the fried rice was just overcooked and not fried rice at all. It was not good. I hate wasting food but i had to trash this. Craving a great teppan table spot, found this place by chance. They don't cook the food in front of you like a show, but you order at the desk like fast food and they bring it to your table, everything we have ordered is so good! We generally love Hashi. The food is great and they never get it cooked wrong. It is a little on the pricey side. The reason for my 4 out of 5 stars is our order always requests extra meat and we pay accordingly for it. Our last couple of orders have not contained what we paid for. I am a huge fan of teriyaki chicken so was a little skeptical trying someplace new. But I was pleasantly surprised. Got the teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The teriyaki sauce is just right. Not too much or too little. Good amount of veggies and the serving sizes are quite nice. Not sure why others said it was noisy, I actually found it almost relaxing with the sizzle of the food and the darkened windows. Love the ginger and mustard sauces they have set out in small cups. I didn't want to take a chance spending a ridiculous amount and the food turned out disgusting. I ordered the shrimp and chicken combo and the Phoenix roll. Shrimp was well seasoned, steak was cooked inconsistently (some tender pieces, some tough). Walk-in wait time was about 15 mins, so not terrible. Food was made to order and I appreciate that. This is the second time we've tried take-out with them. I was excited to see tofu on the menu. As a vegetarian almost vegan it's so lovely to have a protein option. I wish I didn't order it now because it was gross. Huge chunks of very slimy super soft tofu with a disgusting gooey sticky rubbery-like sauce. Usually tofu is pan fried for hibachi.
