Been here 45 mins and still haven't got my food when others that came in after me got theirs. Customer Service is ass won't come back again

Just had my first and LAST experience with Pier 6 Seafood & Steak House. Living in Macclenny there's not a multitude of choices when getting a nice dinner. I decided to get my kids and I a nice dinner for a Friday night and ordered through DoorDash. Firstly the shrimp I paid an extra $8 for as a topping to my steak was missing. Luckily DoorDash refunded that, but of course they couldn't do anything about the inconvenience of missing a big part of your meal. The meal listed "sweet potato" as a side and showed an actual sweet potato. What I got was a small cup of mashed sweet potato, the kind they put sides of dressing in. Same with their side of Mac n cheese. Quite small for sides. The 8oz steak had about 3 good pieces and the rest was all fat. So that was a disappointing $30 meal. I got unsweet teas for all three of my kids' meals because they can't have sugar. All three teas were sweet. So I had to make them tea at home so they weren't disappointed. I spent over $100 on this Friday night, supposed to be NICE meal, and entirely wasted that immense amount of money. Last time I'll be getting a nice meal take out in Macclenny; they've really got the WORST service here and horrendous prices. Do yourself a favor and avoid this local restaurant. read more

Went for an early Mothers Day dinner. EVERYTHING was fresh tasting, not cooked in burnt grease. We ordered the feast for 2. Only complaint is not enough oysters. Was wanting them so bad! And as for the Devil crab. I normally don't eat them, but I did enjoy theirs! Hush puppies had good flavor also. Great service also. read more

My wife , friends and myself ate lunch at Pier 6 yesterday. The service was good, but the food was just ok. We ordered the seafood pick 3, with scallops, shrimp and clam strips. We ordered sweet potato and fried Ocra as our sides. The shrimp were very small. The scallops were small and over cooked. The clam strips were good. The sweet potato was tiny and our friend's sweet potato had a large rotten spot. The fried ocra was ok. The ambience was ok for a converted pizza joint. We will probably not return. read more

Great service! I got the boil pot with crab legs and added crawfish! All of it was amazing and the sauce is awesome! My friend got the blackened salmon which was amazing as well and a big portion. Prices are super reasonable! read more

Wow!!! What a pleasant surprise! We were passing through town on our way back to Tallahassee and decided to stop. Food was amazing! Service was great and price was even better!!! We ordered the friend green tomatoes, fried mushrooms, onion rings, poppers and cheese sticks!!! Seriously the best I've had of everything! My favorite was the mushrooms. My husband ordered the jambalaya. He loved it so much I think he licked the bowl. He said it was a perfect mix of jambalaya and gumbo. I ordered the grilled shrimp with broccoli and a sweet potato. Sooo let me tell y'all ‍... I was really wanting a nice, freshly hand patted burger tonight for dinner. So I searched each restaurant in town trying to find a nice juicy (non frozen patty) burger. And let me tell you right now. I went with Pier 6 Seafood & Steaks and by far did they not disappoint me.... They even ask and cook it to your preferred temperature i like mine med rare, anyways, I ordered it to go, they put the patty on tin foil in between your nicely toasted and seasoned buns so it doesn't make it soggy with all that delicious juice coming from it before you get it home. They put all your toppings on the side so you can build it yourself and again so it's not all so put together and soggy by the time you eat it. Picture doesn't do it justice (and yes I cut my burgers into 4's ) especially if they are nice and big like this one...But I literally ate every single bite and kinda wishing I had more Seasoned so perfectly and as of now, I do agree with "some random guy" they have the best burger in town read more

This place did not show up on my search in Macclenny but it is there. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. The inside is squeeky clean. Gator tail- excellent. Clam chowder - a tad thin. The waitress was so polite and the southern accent wonderful. Tea half sweet half unsweetened was the perfect blend. Their sweet would be southern sweet tea. . The fried shrimp dinner (regular) came with perfectly fried butterflied shrimp- 28 of them! Cheese grits and corn on the cob rounded out the meal. The corn was soggy and overdone but it is not easy to keep corn on the cob warm for long without it getting soggy. My talapia was a tad fishy but not bad. It was a very generous portion- about 6 filets! Fried okra was good. I was very glad to find an independent open on a Sunday evening. It is just a short drive off interstate 10 and better than chains. They also have all you can eat shrimp, fish but our waitress did not tell us about it . The 1/2 pound was all hubby could eat anyway. We did not save room for homemade desserts. I am giving this a four star just for being there (not a large city so not judging it against those standards) and having decent food at a decent price with very nice staff. You won't leave hungry . Yes, I'll go back but take the reccomendation of the staff when they say order the Mai Mai. read more

I had ordered the "blackened" flounder on 5/20/23. What I had received was a plate of flounder swimming in watery butter with just a sprinkle of tasteless seasoning. I have had blackened fish in other restaurants and not one of them tasted or looked this bad. The cheese grits were gritty, not creamy. Will I return back to this restaurant again? Not many places to eat here in McClenny. Crazy busy at lunch on a Sunday.... So we thought, lets eat where the locals are. Restaurant has seen better days. Decorations on the walls were very dusty....BUT...cheese and shrimp stuffed flounder was quite tasty and no complaints on the coconut shrimp. We stopped at Pier 6 on a busy Friday night on the way back to Lake City from Jacksonville. Although the place was jumping our dinners were delivered quickly and were extremely tasty. I had the 3 item "design your own" with shrimp, oysters and clam strips and my wife the popcorn shrimp. Each came with two sides. My trio included over a dozen oysters, usually a real problem with this kind of selection. The food was cooked perfectly, the grease used was light and the addition of garlic butter to the popcorn shrimp was a real treat. Our total bill was less than $32.00! Similar meals at brand name places would have had at least a third less food and cost over $50.00. Great job! read more

Waitress was 5 stars. She went out of her way to make us happy. Food was a 3. Onion rings were very yummy. They are homemade. Fish and shrimp were a little too undercooked for me. The fish had a raw texture, I couldn't eat it. Mac and cheese was bad. It was like cheddar soup with macaroni. Hush puppies were very good. I am sorry but I didn't like pier 6 food. Was hungry when we showed up around 11am to get some lunch. They had a $6 lunch special. I got the popcorn shrimp and it was good (hard to do this wrong I think). The hush puppies were nice and flavorful, my woman stated that they were heaven in her mouth. We also had the gator tail and it was soft and plump. The blue cheese dipping sauce that came with it was also very good. Their cocktail sauce is nice and sweet. The waitress was helpful, friendly and checked on us often. Considering the price and the quality of the food, skip all those fast food chains down the street and come here for some decent seafood. read more

I stopped in for the first time in maybe a couple of months as I don't eat out much. The sign on the door says they have been extremely short on staff so I'm not even going to make wait time an issue (even though it wasn't). I was greeted by friendly staff who actually act like they enjoy their job. I came in right before the lunch rush, but even when they started filling up, they were really attentive to making my dining experience a delightful one. I ordered the lunch combination with shrimp, flounder, and crab cakes. I usually don't order crab cakes anywhere but these were tasty. My shrimp was cooked lighter than I usually liked, but that was on me as I forgot to ask for well done. The whole meal was under $15. Very economically feasible in this time when supplies are scarce. Plus they give me a senior discount which is one of the few perks of being an old dude such as myself. I highly recommend it to anyone living here or maybe just passing through! read more

Absolutely the best surprise just off I-10! We ordered the gator appetizer. The breading was light & the pieces were big & juicy. We ordered the clam strip meal (also lightly breaded & juicy) & the cheesy shrimp stuffed flounder.. The cheese was a different twist on stuffing but the shrimp blended it together well.. I waited over 45 minutes for my to go order. At no point did anyone apologize for the wait, offer me a drink or anything while I waited and waited and waited for my food. When I inquired on the wait, a waitress said they were bagging it up and 10 minutes later still no food. I should have known when I walked in and the young lady at the cash register was talking about how bad her co-workers service was right in front of me that I was in for a bad experience. I was not impressed by this place at all. The service was very slow, but they were friendly. The food was not very good. I ordered a whole lobster, pretty simple, but it was overcooked, the meat was tough and not very flavorful. I do agree that the Sweet Tea was good, but the Corn on the Cob was the worst I have ever had. They say it is "grilled" so when you get it, it is wrapped in aluminum foil and when you peal that back, the kernels are somewhat charred, the only problem is the corn seems to have been soaked in some sort of oil or butter, because there is a disgusting film around the corn that gives it a terrible flavor and seems to coat your mouth. Yuck. In addition to not being very tasty, my meal was quite small. The lobster was tiny and, well to be honest, I could not stomach the corn, so I left hungry. Fortunately there was a Taco Bell just down the road and I was able to pick up a quite bit to eat while I continued on my drive to lower Florida. I do not recommend this place. This restaurant has been around since I can remember when I was 5. It used to be a great authentic seafood restaurant. With real ropes & lobster traps on the ceiling & all kinds of antiques! Now that they remodeled it looks cheap & boring. Almost like nursery theme. The food is still good & the service is alright I guess. I've always had the Blackened Mahi when ever I come here and it is always very delicious. Last night I decided to try something different since I always get the same thing here. I seen that they had a Grouper dish on special, I love grouper so I decided that grouper it is! When The dish arrived I was kinda thrown off by how it was presented and prepared. I'm used to grouper being served in Filets not shredded slivers. It was also the blandest fish I've tasted in a long time, It looked like it would be full of flavor but tasted as if they just sprinkled a tiny bit of seasoning on top of the dish after cooking it. Meh! The hush puppies were fantastic as usual so was the rice pilaf. I have only dined in at Pier 6 twice and both times they were super busy and as a result service was pretty slow and food took quite some time to arrive. I gave them a three star rating instead of two because their blackened Mahi Mahi is excellent and so are their hush puppies. I think I will just stick to what I know is good here from now on. read more

The food was average, at best. I ordered chicken and shrimp. The side of corn on the cob was oily and soggy. The Mac n Cheese was good, chicken was average. The shrimp breading was also soggy and fell off the shrimp before I could eat it. I would not recommend this place. read more

I ordered the oyster and scallop dinner combination which was $16. When my dinner arrived, there were 5 small oysters and six very small scallops. I spoke to the owner who was very rude and refused to fix the issue. I am a 30 year patron who will never return. I suggest eating at Sam's Crystal River Seafood which is less than a half mile down the road. read more

I ordered a medium rare steak but instead they give me a raw steak and then when I order fries on the side and I asked him to ketchup on them they gave me cocktail sauce which pretty much ruined the entire dining experience and the last disappointment was the bill. The bill was a total of $60 and after that it was very, very disappointing. read more
