Words can't express the gratitude I have for Dr. Jennings and the Haven Veterinary Clinic staff. When I moved back to the Houston area a few years ago I was so happy to come across a black AND female owned veterinary clinic that wasnt too far from my home. Cultural similarities aside, Dr. Jennings' credentials also spoke loudly to me. American Veterinary Association, Chief of Staff at Banfield for 20+ years. Texas A&M vet school. Yes, someone I can trust. Someone, who'll listen to my concerns and truly care about what's best for my pet. I confidently booked my first appointment for my dog. The staff is mild mannered, calm, gentle and always very welcoming. Dr. Jennings, the same but firm, knowledgeable and honest. Dr.Jennings always treated me with the utmost professionalism but yet with the care and concern of a dear family friend. It was clear she saw how much my little one meant to me and she wanted to provide me with the best information she had. A couple weeks ago, I was so relieved to have Haven Veterinary Clinic in my corner on the last day of my fur baby's life. I'm so grateful it was on a Saturday and while Haven was open. They welcomed me as soon as I could get there, without an appointment. Once there, they did all they could and let me come to the back with my little one as they cared for her. I stepped out briefly to run an errand and returned at closing time. Dr. Jennings then referred me to two 24 hour facilities were I could continue my fur baby's care. She remembered an awful experience I had with another nearby clinic and was careful NOT to refer me to them but to her top two choices. The option I chose couldn't have been more perfect. I'll be leaving a separate A+ review for them as well. While providing medical care for my dog, Dr. Jennings recommended the best diet plans, medications, and specialists and gave my baby the very best care. She was very helpful in guiding me on realistic options and steering me away from expensive time wasters. Although she always ensured all decisions were completely made by me. She laid everything out on the table for me to decide. A day after my precious little doggy passed away, which happened to be on a Sunday, Dr. Jennings called me and gave me her sincerest condolences. It meant so much to me that she went out of her way on a Sunday and when I knew she had time off the following week, to express her sympathy to me for my loss. I always felt seen, heard and understood by Dr. Jennings and like she truly cared about me and my fur baby. I would without question recommend any and everyone to this amazing veterinarian and her awesome staff. One day, when I have future fur kiddos, Haven is absolutely the veterinary clinic I'll choose. I'm a little sad I don't have a reason to see the staff and Dr. Jennings regularly anymore but when the time comes this is without a doubt where I will go. read more

I've been struggling with my dog's paw licking. Recently he has been living in a COS (cone-of-shame) while I am not at home and I am very uncomfortable with this as it is restrictive and not a good time for him. Dr J and I have tried several treatments from medicated bathing, OTC allergy, injections and nothing had a positive response. Dr J suggest a new medication and he has produced a fantastic result. So far I am happy with his response in just a week and to Dr J's out of the box thinking and staying on top of new treatments. Thank you Dr J! Petey and I appreciate it. I love the staff here. I'm probably a hypochondriac, but the doctor and providers here never make me feel silly for bringing my pup so often. He's older and slowing down, but they've helped me monitor his kidneys, joint health, and diet. They're incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate in their care with my senior dog. The facilities are very well kept and clean, easy to get scheduled for appointments, and I'll be bringing my dog here as long as I'm in Houston! read more

Everything that has been previously stated was true and then some. We were so pleased at the level of care, service, skill set, friendly staff, and overall atmosphere. Dr. Jennings reached out to explain what occurred with our fur baby in a very thorough, caring, professional manner. We knew that Winston was in good hands. We switched to this clinic after having a very bad experience with a Friendswood clinic that led to us losing one of our fur babies. Our experience with Dr. Jennings has been AMAZING!! Its been a completely different experience from the other clinic. We brought in our 8 wk old new puppy and he's been seeing her for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Diesel loves Dr. Jennings and all her staff! We've never had a problem with them, they call to see how he is every time after a check up. When he was injured and needed medical services, they called us to update us on his condition a few times. I have no reservations about leaving him with Dr. Jennings or her staff for medical procedures. I know he's in good, caring hands. They're very accommodating when we have to change appts or need one at the last minute. We've had curbside and in-room appts and they're always great. Even during the pandemic, when they were only doing curbside appts, Dr. Jennings would come out to talk to us in the parking lot after an exam. I've been living in Pearland for several years, and struggling to find a vet who I felt ACTUALLY cared about my pets, and didn't just see them as numbers on a spreadsheet. A friend told me that they found Dr Jennings at Haven Veterinary clinic when they had a pet emergency a while back, and they were very impressed with her and the facility. I decided to give them a try. Dr Jenning's, and all of the staff are GREAT. They are patient, nice, and inviting. Dr Jennings worked with me to figure out a cronic issue one of my dogs was having that other vets just gave up on, and now I feel more informed and better prepared. I've never had a problem with them before until now. Nothing against Dr. Jennings she's great. However nurse Alyson and Dr. Lass were very rude. They simply didn't want to deal with my dog. I understand he's a bit hyperactive, but they should be able to deal with all kinds of pets. My pet is quite friendly with people just have to sweet talk him like with most dogs. The nurse didn't even try to do anything. Instead they suggested they give him medication and come back another day. If you're not ready to deal with all kinds of pets then pick a different career. I've been going there for a couple of years and never had a problem with the nurses. Always very friendly and helpful. Not sure who hired this one. I recently got a Boerboel pup and visited this place for the first time and will continue to go. Everyone is very friendly. Even during this COVID period they made me feel welcome (depsite not being able to go inside). Also I like that they keep you updated of services via phone your animal will receive and the cost. First time visiting this Vet clinic today. Needed a last minute new patient appoint and they were able to accommodate and get me in same day. I wanted a Vet closer to the house ( my other one took 20 ish minutes depending on traffic). I also wanted a vet that took appointments instead of walk in's only, which could turn into a nightmare at my now old clinic. I had a great experience today the the clinic staff including Dr. Jennings. They were very kind to my pups including my Aussie mix who was coming as moral support for my Lab who was the actual new patient today. Did not feel like a vet clinic in the lobby or the patient room we waited in to be seen. Smelled nice and felt comfy in the room . They grabbed water for my fur pups as well. I did not have to wait to be seen past my scheduled appoint which was a huge plus!!! I was able to speak to Dr. Jennings and explain my Labs history and when his current problems began and never felt rushed. Appreciated the feedback and the advice as well as her wanting to have a followup in 2 weeks to make sure all is well and my pup is doing better. I went ahead and made a new patient appoint for my Aussie mix for that next appoint as well. She can be quite skittish and not easily approachable by strangers but one of the young ladies in the office approached her cautiously and within a few short minutes she was trying to lick the young lady in the face. Prices were reasonable and not outrageous like some of the other vet clinics within Pearland city limits.Very happy with my choice to give this clinic a shot today and optimistic in continuing my fur babies vet care with them from today on. I had to get an x-ray for my dog foot, and she did a very thorough job explaining everything. They call to check up on your pet to make sure everything is ok. So I never really post any reviews but I couldn't resist today! Have a 2 month old puppy and he woke up not feeling well. Called and made an appointed. Was extremely satisfied since the first call. Arrived to appt early and staff was amazing in greeting and kind and sweet. Our puppy was treated and taken care of amazingly. I've been to another vet where it didn't seem they cared at all. I won't take my animals anywhere else. I have been in Pearland for three years and struggled to find a good vet. I am so excited that Haven is in town. I took our new puppy for a complex surgery (cryptorchidism neuter) and the Dr. Jennings, the vet, was magnificent. Dr. Jennings called after the surgery for an update and sent pictures during recovery. Dr. Jennings discussed the procedure in detail before the puppy went back with her giving us a level of comfort in her experience. Dr. Jennings and the staff were professional and friendly. The kicker, the prices are more than reasonable and they don't try to stack services unless they important for the animal. I will be a long term customer for all my animals.
