My family and I moved/transferred to this apartment because the unit we were in was roach infested, which was their sister apartments, Villa Angelina. When Lisa told us about this complex, I was hopeful and excited because it was a downstairs unit with a large patio and it came with a washer/dryer. We went to go check it out and when we got there, there was at least 10 rat traps out. I was beyond horrified and didn't understand why she would let us go check out the apartment looking like that. We called her the following day and she had no idea either and that she had to call her maintenance manager. Lisa told me that the previous tenant had a pet rat and rabbit and when he moved out, he couldn't catch the rat and just left it there. I couldn't believe our luck. We waited for several days and Lisa told us that the maintenance guy has been checking the unit twice a day and that he hasn't spotted the rat or didn't find any rat droppings and that the rat was probably no longer in the unit. We trusted the staff once again and we just had to get out of Villa Angelina. Instead of accommodating how long we can move out of Angelina, they made us pack and move in 1 day! Another agent told us late Saturday evening and we had to be gone by end of Sunday! So, here we go again and had to get another uhaul. Mind you, this was the week of Christmas. We moved in on Dec 18, 2022 and felt more at ease because we didn't have to deal with roaches anymore. The unit smelled like cigarettes, but we thought we could get rid of the smell by opening the windows and lighting up candles. We were just happy that there were no more roaches and the W/D hook up was a plus. December 20, I saw a white rat run under the sink! It ran so fast, that I had to question myself if I really saw it or not, but I knew what I saw! I called and emailed Lisa and all she can say was OMG! The only reason why they were able to catch it, because pest control forgot 2 of the glue traps under the fridge and the rat got caught on it. Reason we know that is because Lisa texted us the picture of the rat to ensure us that it was caught. The day before Christmas Eve we finally were able to cook and decided to use the oven, but of course it wasn't working. My fiancé opened it up to try to fix it and we were shocked on how filthy under the stove was and we found rat droppings underneath the stove. They did no deep cleaning of the unit before we moved in and the cigarette smell was getting so bad, that it was irritating our eyes, nose and breathing. I was worried about my 1 year old and her pediatrician informed us that we needed to move out of that unit. It seems that since the leasing agents work remote, no one goes down to inspect these units that are being moved out of and ensuring that these units are being cleaned correctly. It looks like they also just painted over anything that was dirty instead of cleaning. They just painted over the hinges on the cabinet, that paint was just falling off everytime we would open a cabinet.Shame on you guys! Moving is hard as is and it seems it's too hard to do your job and make sure the quality is there for your residents. The exterior of this complex is very well maintained and I wish we didn't have all these problems at this H building unit, but we had to get out. Essex promotes 30 day guarantee satisfaction, but we had to deal with 2 horrific units with this company. We asked for all the money we spent between both complexes, which was over $4,000 and they said they only could give us less than half! We forked out a lot of money moving between these 2 complexes and that's how we were treated! Essex needs to make sure their employees are doing their jobs and ensuring the quality of these complexes. read more

If you ask me, I will tell you that Haver Hill is an nice place to live. The apartments are pretty clean, with all amenities working as expected. The monthly rent is comparable to similar apartments, and it is not a big hassle to qualify for a place here when you have good credit. The landscape is well-maintained, from the green spaces to the community pool. The environment in and around the premises is pretty calm, which is a great change from the hustle and bustle from the big city life. There are options as far as fun time. The west coast is a 45 min - 1 hour drive from here, and the inland empire is a short drive east. I personally recommend downtown Fullerton, Huntington Beach, and Newport Beach for leisure time and nightlife. If you're looking for a place in the Fullerton area, this is a good option. read more

I am a current resident here and have been for two years. The apartments are pretty nice. Other than the tiny kitchen, the apartments have good space and the bedrooms are a good size. Their maintenance staff is amazing, they are always available and keep up with the gardening and landscaping. Unfortunately, there are ridiculous rules, like what is allowed on your balcony and what isn't. Also, since COVID, forget about using the pool or gym so you are paying for luxury living but not able to experience the pool, jacuzzi or gym. Lastly, the complaints get out of hand. At one point I was threatened to have my pool privileges' removed for having "guests" even though the guests at the pool were not my guests. In addition, the walls are extremely thin and you will constantly get noise complaints. I've talked to a lot of neighbors who complain about the same thing. You cannot be out hanging out and talking on your own balcony because the security guard will come and tell you to keep it down.. at 6 p.m. The security has time for that but do not have time to go check the parking lot for theft since there has been a lot of that going around. In the end, I think the apartments are nice, but not worth the price if you cannot even watch a movie in your apartment with a higher volume of 15 without getting noise complaints. I will not be renewing my lease for the third time. read more

My family is currently living here and at first they were happy with the complex and even though they pay well over 2k a month to live there, it felt like it was worth it to be living in a safe area and a clean apartment complex. Almost a year in and there is a roach problem and it is incredibly sad to see reviews on here from over a year ago about this roach problem that clearly management has not cared enough to figure out for the residents who pay so much in rent to live there. If you're going to charge over 2k then have the decency to provide a clean home for your residents. They are human beings who deserve a clean home that is roach free. These poor families including my own are having to live with roaches crawling on them or having to put all their kitchen items on the dining table because there are roaches. It isn't enough at this point to just set little traps everywhere and again clearly the methods you have chosen are not working so it is time to try something else to get rid of the roaches. My family has reached out to management and the response is that it takes about a week to see results. However it seems like this has been a problem that continues to happen. And it's been well over a week and the roaches are still there. Start to do something different and take care of your residents. read more

So upon inquiring about the apartments, I received an email from Valerie right away addressing what I needed and was looking for in an apartment. She was very informative and quick to response. We decided to do the video call (virtual tour) and she was on time with calling me! She was able to show me the amenities and the unit. We requested to be notified for any downstairs unit by the dog park and the next day, she reached out to us saying there was one that became available! She was able to help me and answer my questions throughout the whole process. One thing that really wanted me to lease here was her accommodation and how you can tell that she really cared about what you wanted and your concerns. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our application (even though we signed the lease already and was just waiting for move in). I moved in on the 12th so I've only been there about a week, and so far so good! I've lived in a house for the past 14 years so apartment living was something I didn't really look forward to but it already feels like home. Apartment 5/5 Stars: The apartment was very clean on my move in date. All brand new appliances were installed before I moved in. I'm in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, and this place is huge (for an apartment) at about 1100 sq ft. Can't complain about an in-unit washer and dryer. The heated floor in the bathroom is also a really nice touch. I haven't seen any pests either which is really good. Facilities 5/5 Stars: I've used the Jacuzzi 2 times and the pool area is always spotless. I've seen people using the bbq in the area, and wondered how they would leave it. Both times I saw the tenants cleaned up, and it seems everyone tries to keep the community clean. The gym is very nice and tidy as well. Never too many people in there from what I've seen, and they have decent equipment. Staff 6/5 Stars: I can't begin to tell you how nice and helpful Valerie was. She gave me a tour and sold me on it. Once I submitted my application she was very responsive in answering questions, and getting me what I needed to finish the application process. Location 5/5 Stars: Walking distance from my front door to the front door of Kohl's took me a minute and a half. Ralph's is in the same parking lot across the street as well. Literally everything you need is close by. The only thing I don't like (and this is just me being used to living in a house) is walking to the dumpster area to throw the trash away, but I guess I'll get used to that :) I think as long as you read your lease agreement, and follow the rules you should have a great time living here. The community is quiet. Which is surprising because there's a fair amount of people living here. So far everyone I've ran in to are nice. Definitely happy I made the choice to move here! read more

When I first moved in, everything seemed peachy! I am 7 months in and already can't wait to get the heck out of dodge. Definitely not a safe place. My car was broken into and almost completely stolen. I notified Haver Hill and they said so sorry, break-ins happen all the time. I've seen multiple individuals, multiple different times casing the gated car area, up to no good, wearing face masks and dark clothes and backpacks, in the late hours of the night. I've scared them off when I see them and notify the complex, but I never receive a reply, they literally don't care about the safety of their tenants. God forbid they consider getting cameras to deter away crime, God knows they can afford it with $2.5k for a 1 bedroom a month. Nothing is being done about it, so people keep entering the parking area and attempting theft and vandalism with tenants' cars. Roaches everywhere. Thankfully they haven't infested my apartment, but they are all over the hallways, and my friend in the next building ended up moving out when her lease ended because her upstairs apartment was infested for close to a WHOLE YEAR and the complex did NOTHING that solved the problem. The complex is old and they do not bother to update it before renting. My apartment has ants literally coming out of the middle of the floor, in the bathroom. They spray and then the ants just find another hole in the floor to come through. The walls are thin as hell; I hear all my neighbors just talking in their apartments. It may look nice on the outside but be weary! I would look elsewhere and see what your other options are. I feel gross living here and 1000% not safe. read more

The new management is so far the best. The manager Lisa and the leasing office staff are very nice and helpful. They will definitely so best to help you out. Pros outweigh the cons. There is less parking space around, dog parks can be annoying if you live close like I did. But In my 5 year stay I loved this place for the spacious rooms, great maintenance and office staff. Close proximity to grocery stores, etc. Good place for a family to live. Moving back to India or else would have continued my stay here. I've been living here for about 2 years now, so I think it's time to show the complex a little bit of love. The place is well kept, the staff is super friendly and the amenities are very well taken care of. Prices are a bit higher than average for the surrounding neighborhood, but the safety and cleanliness is worth it. I'd recommend shelling out for the extra parking spots though, as parking is a nightmare. Unless you get home early, don't expect to find street parking.... As far as the residents, they're excellent. Noise is kept to a minimum and everyone more or less keeps to themselves. read more

Overall, it's a good place for living and a great central convenient location with so many places nearby and a fairly safe neighborhood. Here are the positives from our experience: Apartments are a decent size, maintenance/upkeep is excellent, management staff is helpful, their gym was one of my favorite facilities while others may prefer to dip in the pool on a hot day. Everything fenced off so wandering strangers cannot easily get in to mooch off freebies.. Since we had a pooch, we really liked it when they added the dog park (it's a unique amenity feature that added some happy memories of us playing with our pooch) - Other noteworthy features are the walkable / pet-friendly trails that were well-maintained and that were partly in the shade obscured by lush-looking trees. When they were not cutting down the trees, I always loved that "green appeal" that would create more cooling shade and more clean air. We also got lucky that our unit had a washer and dryer! For those who did not have the W&D, there was a laundry room that was very close-by. I took off 1 star for how expensive it is and how they were increasing rent each year even tho it's already high enuff - they don't really have to do it otherwise they'd have more tenants move out how we did to look elsewhere. Also, parking can be difficult unless you pay for the assigned carport which was $75 at that time. For a 1 bedroom apartment, we had 1 free carport and the other one was considered "extra" that we had to pay for.. I wish they'd charge no more than $50 for carports which is more reasonable given their high rent. Plus "pet rent" was becoming among the highest in OC. It's probably because they want to discourage tenants having too many pets that would pollute the complex and would create noise annoyance. My final verdict on this place: We enjoyed our time there. Had lived there for 3 years before deciding to look for more affordable options. Despite a few negatives, I still recommend it for those who'd want to split rent with roommates and enjoy a great location and gated community amenities. In all honestly, if not for the high rent increase for a 1 bedroom apartment, we would have probably stayed there longer. Hopefully, they will learn from these reviews to keep the rent lower at a more reasonable/stable level so more people stay there longer - especially during these times when EVERYONE deserves affordable housing and a place they can call home! read more

I've been living here for about 2 months now and so far love it ! We've only had one maintenance issue since move in but the maintenance team was very quick to respond and fix the problem. Other than that, love this place !! Very quiet and clean complex. From going on a self guided tour to move in day, Valerie is honestly the best !! This place is a nightmare. Between roaches, awful neighbors, terrible parking and a no longer present management team, this place is not worth the money whatsoever. I really wish I could give 0 stars My girlfriend and I moved here to be close to cal state, little did we know that we would like in a complex absolutely overrun by pests. Roaches are present throughout the whole year here, and it's especially bad when it's warm. I'll never forget walking up the gate from the street at night and watching multiple roaches scatter in different directions on the sidewalk that's maybe 20 feet from our home -- let alone the roach we found in a sink the very first night we moved in. Treatment after treatment and nothing has changed. Now let's talk about the neighbors we have who are people. The amount of times we've been woken up at night to police knocking on doors and making arrests in the middle of the night has been ridiculous. It's happened at least 5 times in a year and that's just on our side of the complex. Furthermore this complex must do a horrible job screening people because my girlfriend and I used to live in quite a rough area in north county San Diego and our neighbors there weren't nearly as loud, rude, disrespectful, and just flat out unbearable as they are here. Late night parties I can handle, this is a college town, so there's going to be younger kids partying, that I don't have a problem with. What I do have a problem with is hearing people being abusive to their dogs who are clearly fearful for their lives, leaving their windows open while they scream and argue with each other, and people making a habit of vacuuming and hammering nails after 10 PM on the weekdays. Now let's talk about management. When we first lived here the people who worked here actually worked in the office. So you could knock on the door at any time and speak to a human being about the problems you're dealing with face to face. Now, everything is remote, and multiple properties are being managed by one person. Which is a huge shame because the personnel here were so nice and helpful and present that that was the only thing keeping us here. But since everyone now works remotely, and/or has way too much on their plate, i wish you luck hearing in back from anyone because we genuinely feel like we're being ignored. Probably because they are so overwhelmed with concerns that they can't possibly handle them all. Speaking of which, let's talk about parking! I've never had such a terrible experience just trying to park outside of my own home. Both sides of the one street the whole complex shares get street swept at the same time on Tuesday from 7-12 which would be fine if they wouldn't tow people for parking across the street in the kohls parking lot -- which will cost you $450 during the week and $600 on the weekends. There is literally no where to park because the residential neighborhood down the street has zero driveways, and the whole street is basically bumper to bumper occupied 24/7. So I hope you get home before 4 o'clock to park, because if not you're either parking in the red or across the street in tow-vile and getting up at 6 AM to move your car. It's almost funny watching all the other people including myself get up early to move their cars, it's kinda like going to the gym at the same time and noticing you're one of many who do and for that you respect them. If you're thinking about moving here, don't. If you drive by and think it looks like a nice place, you're sorely mistaken. Think it's dog friendly? It's certainly friendly to those not looking to pick up after their dog. So not only are you stepping in shit on the grounds, but you'll walk by peoples yards that reek of piss. This place is a corporate hell hole and we cannot wait to get the hell out of here and get this place out of our minds for good. read more

We moved in ,in September. I have lived in a few apartments around this area and I must say that it's never felt like home until we moved here. I love that all my neighbors are respectful and polite. Staff is AMAZING!! Gabby .... I just read that you will be leaving us. My heart is broken! She is the BEST! Attentive and attention to detail is a big deal to me. Congrats!! Yes it's a bit pricey but well worth what you pay for. You out in a work order and it gets done. When I communicate with the office I always get a prompt response. I almost cancelled because I was very happy with a property I visited in the morning that was near my work and felt I had already made a decision. So glad I didn't cancel! Me and my dad and our dog lived here for about a year. Here are some of the positives: -If you're a girl and have a bunch of clothes like I did then you will love the closet!! ITS HUGE!! The master bedroom has a great layout. -If you live on the bottom floor you get a nice patio. -Close to the brea mall, and some other stores. -Washer and dryer inside the apartment was a huge plus!! -The girls in the office are very sweet. Lisa was our favorite. Now here comes the negatives: -Rent was very expensive!! And I get it Cali is not cheap lol but if you're going to be spending that much on rent you should at least get for what you pay for and this wasn't it. -WATER BUGS!! And these are not small bugs. They are HUGE AND THEY FLY. I'm not a big bug person and I don't think anyone is, unless you can deal it and don't care. So they only come when it's hot outside so beware of summer and spring! Yeah they come to spray but it never works. AND THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT. -Dogs Poop anywhere and owner does not pick it up. A dog even peed on our front door carpet. -You have to pay additional $85 for a carport -Also they took out more money for rent out of my dads bank account and did not say anything until my dad called them and asked about it. Lived here for a year with my girlfriend and her brother. It's too expensive for what it's worth and the front desk staff is subpar at best. Told Brianna(front desk staff) we were moving out 3 times and not renewing our lease a month in a half before our lease was up. She did not tell us or give us the extra steps for that process. After the fact they made us give the keys back a week before our lease was up and told us they'd take care of it and told me we wouldn't be charged. Turns out they rented our apartment out immediately after we turned our keys in and we still had to pay $1400 cause we didn't give a hand written 30 day notice(and it's policy). Wish Brianna and Lisa the Head Manager were more professional and more understanding of the situation. Would never live in a Essex complex again. read more

I loved this place when I first moved in during the summer of 2012. The community was lovely, we had great neighbors, and it was within walking distances of everything you could possibly need. Guest parking was always an issue, but everything else made that not matter as much. I even told my boyfriend at the time that i wanted to stay there until we were both done with school. We resigned our lease that December and management changed soon after. Once essex bought the community everything seemed to just go to shit. Everyone in the office was constantly rude to us. There was always construction going on and it was impossible to ever sleep past 8-9 am (my boyfriend was working graveyard shifts so this was a serious issue). The security guard was also an asshole. There were multiple occasions where i would be in the apartment completely alone just sitting on my computer and he would complain that I was making to much noise. I'm sorry.... was i TYPING TOO LOUD? There was even an incident where he knocked on the door five minutes after i had come home from work. I answered the door with my purse still on my shoulder and he told me i needed to stop making so much noise. I tried to explain that there was no one else in the apartment and that the noise was coming from the people above us who were having a party. he then proceeded to ask me if i had an attitude problem and threaten to leave a report with the office about me. I'm not really sure what i did to cause him to repeatedly act this way towards me. The office, of course, was no help with the situation. We moved out in June. Our neighbors that we kept in contact with moved out as well. I don't like leaving bad reviews normally, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Although I recently left this community this review accurately describes my 2 years of living at Haver Hill from June 2014-June 2016. Leasing office Staff- very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Claudia for two years while we lived at Haver Hill. Any requests were always professionally taken care of. (+1) Utility Cost- utilities cost for water, trash, sewage, etc was extremely expensive through American Utility Management (AUM). Average of $90/month for utilities not including electricity which is paid separately. Our new and past utility bills average $35/month because my wife and I work full time and hardly spend time at home. Deposit- $400 Deposit will not be given back. Two tenants including myself were given less than $50 of our original deposit this summer. I have always received no less than half of my deposit at past apartment communities because we never allowed shoes in the house, paintings on the wall, Damage, etc. This shows that Essex is only concerned about money. Resident Parking- Very Bad! Purchase of a second parking space is highly recommended $75/month as we did for one year. Visitor parking spaces are never available and street parking is a constant mess. My wife and I could never have visitors for this reason. Apartment unit- very convenient having appliances in our unit like washer,dryer, refrigerator, etc. Old Air conditioning units are horrible. Air conditioning window units are located in living rooms and never really cool the entire apartment unit. Summer nights were terribly stuffy and hot although the air conditioning unit was left on for hours. Not an efficient building! Apartment Community- community is located near a convenient shopping plaza with Ralph's, Dry Cleaner, Starbucks. Community is also in a very shady part of Fullerton as you continue down sapphire Rd. My wife and I were very upset the last few months of 2016 because loud fireworks would go off at random times of the night from residents across the alley. Loud screeching fireworks at 3am consistently for 3 months (may-July 2016). Haver Hill security was notified on several occasions but not much can be done about neighboring residents. Maintenance Team- great Maintenance team. All service requests were taken care of within 24 hours. Community was well taken care of even when irresponsible tenants didn't clean after their pets. (+1) Overall Impression- I personally would not recommend this community to a friend or family member. Older structures with renovated interiors. We've been living in this apartment community since June 2014. The overall experience has been good for the past six months until a couple of days back when my brand new car (just a couple of months old) was vandalized within the apartment premises. My front windshield, front and rear passenger side windows have been damaged as a result. The overall damage has been estimated at $1000. This has led me to write this review so potential renters could be aware of this incident and take into account the risk of moving in here. Apparently there were several cars that were vandalized on the same night so this is a huge concern that the management will need to look into and fix. There are no security cameras installed in the parking areas even after break-in incidents being reported by other reviewers. My concern is what if I fix my car and this happens again? The leasing agent gave me an enlightening response that we live in a society full of crime and that even if I had parked my car inside my apartment that someone can break-in and damage it. Utter nonsense... I am waiting for my lease to be up so I can move to a much safer community. read more

Worst management I have ever had. These ppl left pay or quite notices on my door even when the rent was paid on time! And I was a good tenent. Simply because you are a number here, and it had not gone through all their rent checks, they would carte blanch leave pay or quit notices on tenants doors. This happened twice! After living there for over a year, one month I told them I needed a few days to pay rent. Mind you, I had *never* been late on rent. They slapped me with an eviction. Now, I have to deal with this on my credit report. I would never live here again. This management company gives you no leniency, therefore it does not deserve any. My recommendation? Do the due-diligence to rent where you are treated like an individual, a customer. read more

I'll be honest, I don't really know what to think of my experience. Haver Hill was just one of those things that left me apathetic. On the one hand I felt well taken care of with friendly staff and quick maintenance on any issues that I had. Added to these pluses were the best apartment pool and gym that I've ever experienced, and I've lived in the faux "luxury apartments" before. On the other hand however, I felt cheated and ultimately disappointed with my experience. We were lured into renting at this apartment complex by the prospect of reasonable rent for an exceptional apartment. For the most part, this proved to be false. The expenses that ended up being added on (a ridiculous $75 per additional parking spot in addition to an excruciating water and conservice fee that left us scratching our heads)). Additionally, the rent that we were intially charged was later raised by an astronomical amount that proved to be the ultimate reason why we left this complex. If this apartment were worth that kind of money, I would indeed pay for it. Alas, what you see is not what you get. Always be on your guard whenever a potential apartment complex shows you a "model unit" upon your first tour. It's always because the actual apartment that you're getting is a complete and utter let down. So many things for us either broke down or were completely quirky. The plumbing would often be clogged, the front door handle (yes you heard right) came apart on multiple occasions, and the dishwasher and fridge were atrocious at actually accomplishing their respective jobs. The light switches were reversed, the toilet water levels were way too high (it's worse than you think), the light switches in different rooms were completely reversed and counter intuitive, the hot and cold handles for the water faucet were reversed as well, the cabinets were never updated from the seventies and were a literal safety hazard, and there was no air conditioning (only one of those old school wall a/c units). And so at the end of our lease, I'm left to wonder about my time here at Haver Hill. I can honestly sum it up in one sentence, "What you see is not what you get". It's worth it if the price is below average, I really wouldn't recommend it anywhere above that point. I'm literally seeing apartment units a couple of blocks north in Placentia that are going for $200-$400 less than Haver Hill is. These units actually have A/C, are larger, have garages, and are absolutely more worth it. I wanted to leave this place a three star review but my wife convinced me to give it four stars. I feel like I'm giving off the wrong impression, we certainly did have a great time here in terms of living our lives in relative peace. But seriously though do yourself a favor, don't pay more just to stay at a mediocre place. Find yourself a steal instead of being handed a bad deal. read more

Just don't. Unless you're looking for a place where people don't train their dogs. Party all night with no repercussions even with security being called all the time. They ALWAYS have top turn the water off. I'm talking like 7 times in a year and a half, several times those were for more than a day. The gates they added seemed nice but they're a huge inconvenience if you have a kid, dog, groceries, or anything else in your hands. Danielle in the office is the only person I dealt with that was kind and caring. The lady who works the front desk can be pretty rude. Also they like top give you "24 hour notices" that they post on your door at 10pm when security comes for something the next morning at 8am. That is a 10 hour notice. You might wake up and have no water for your morning shower. If you're in a place facing Yorba Linda Blvd forget about opening your windows. All the road grime and noise is crazy. Since its a major street, a lot of emergency vehicles going with their sirens. Worst parking ever. If you park on the side on Kohls you get a ticket because Fullerton only allows you to park on certain streets. If you're not home by 3 you're going top end up parking blocks away unless you get lucky. Or you can pay an extra $75 a month for parking if they even have spots open. The pros of this place is not worth it to me but here they are: -Really close to grocery stores -Csuf is just down the block -Allows dogs of all sizes -Nice pool and little gym read more

Just moved in about 2 weeks ago and I haven't had anything but a great experience so far. The staff has been incredibly helpful and quick to respond. My sink was clogged, I sent off an email to Duane in the leasing office and by the time I got home from work it was already repaired. New counter tops, I have a pretty good sized back yard, new carpeting, quiet neighbors (other than a few yappy dogs, but what do you expect when you live in a complex that allows dogs) and the ONLY place that allows me Shiba / Mix dog because she weighs over 50 lbs. They are currently remodeling the complex and have done a pretty solid job so far. I would have given this complex 5 stars if it weren't for the guest parking. It's next to impossible to parking for your visitors. Then again, not sure if that's really Haver Hill's fault. Not sure why reviews are so low! read more

I lived at this apartment building for a little over 3 years. Parking is very limited. Good neighbors come and go. Summers are hot....all normal things that go down at most apartments in convenient areas. The one thing that made my living at this apt stand out was the leasing office and maintenance staff.. they are on it. They want to keep the apts comfortable and nice. I've been told by others that the office staff was mean but I promise you that they aren't. They are helpful and understanding. If there's ANY issue at your apt they want to know about it so that they can schedule for maintenance to correct it asap. They work with you to make sure everything works out conveniently for you. Basically, my entire time living here I had a good experience with the staff and by the time I left it was almost like I was losing them as roommates as well. read more

Lived in the community over 2 years and moved out last November to move to South Orange County. I used to live in the homestead apartments down the street and once my nightmare of an experience ended with them, I looked for a cheaper alternative. I found haver Hill and have never looked back. When I moved in, the complex was run under a different management group. When the current management group came in, it became MUCH better. The elevators now work, the pool was redone, the gym actually looks like a gym now and they replaced all windows and sliding doors. The 1 bedroom units are a bit small but for the price, but very doable. You can easily entertain a few friends in your space. Never had any issues with neighbors nor with any vandalism. The location is EPIC. You can walk to the nearest bars, you have a few restaurants within walking distance and a couple grocery stores as well. Hands down, this was my favorite apartment to live in. They charged me 130 for cleaning which isn't too bad. Highly recommend this complex for anyone looking for their first apartment. read more

After their "follow-up" we have still been unable to resolve most of the issues with Haver Hill. Unfortunately, the company purchased the property and seems determined to make changes to anything they think that they can charge more for. In the meantime, the work and the inconveniences have not been acknowledged by the company or their management on site. Some of the smaller issues were fixed, but it took far too long to get a proper response. Just not the kind of stuff you want to deal with when you have a life outside of renting an apartment. I do understand that they want to make money, and I'm not opposed to that concept. The problem comes from the lack of concern over the comfort, safety, or health of the current residents. read more

Although I am not an actual tenant of Haver Hill, I am giving them 5 stars for the customer service I received from Gabby and Maria. I went there on two different occasions with each of them helping me out. On both visits I looked at 3 different units and each time they were very patient with me and answering all of my questions, taking me around the community to show me all of Haver Hill. I must say I was very impressed with the landscaping, workout room and most of the amenities there. Even after I filled out my application and was approved I ended up turning it down and instead rented a house with more room for my dogs. I would have to agree with Trent! The reviews are way more harsh than Haver Hill deserves. I have been living here for almost 2yrs and am very happy with it. You get what you pay for, and for the price you cannot beat it. I have lived in many places throughout OC and this one gives you the most bang for your buck! The staff is awesome! They are always very responsive. Anthony and Mike in the office rock! And, the maintenance staff are always quick to respond and get things taken care of. As far as the parking, yes, it is an issue, but guess what?.... it is everywhere in Fullerton! You just have to learn how to deal with it. Not to mention the location is super convenient. Close to the college, with some fun local spots not too far away, and easy to get anywhere you would want to go. I don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon, as long as they keep taking care of me and keep up the good work! read more

Haver Hill offers more than most apartment complexes in the area; washer/dryer in unit, more sq. ft., etc. We've been here for almost two years and love that we're not living with insects or rodents, the staff is friendly and the maintenance team does well on service calls. The only thing I liked about Haver Hell was the in-unit washer and dryer. On the downside we got our car towed 3 times as there is no where else to park but the parking lot. My boyfriend's car was broken into and Haver Hell did nothing about it! Who cares about the pool! Water is too cold to swim in and the jaccuzi was always dirty!! In addition, good luck getting your groceries and water bottle cases up the stairs when the elevator is out of service!! I only lived here for a year which seemed like an eternity for me!! Never again!! If you're looking for a nice place to live this is definitely not it!! Someone who was looking at the place stopped to ask me about Haver Hell!! I told her to run!! read more

Been living here for about 5 months now and so far so good. Must admit we weren't planning on moving in so fast but the two ladies in the leasing office were really sweet and super down to earth. Hate when you go somewhere and they just tell you everything you want to hear but then you look around and find everything was the complete opposite. Our building is quiet for the most part until our upstairs neighbors come in they stomp hard all day long. Gym is probably one of our favorite spots in the complex. A final review of Haver Hill... Due to extenuating circumstances we stayed in Haver Hill longer than we wanted to or more than one person should... This place only got worse the longer we lived there. The few guest spots we used to have became apart of the assigned parking (however when a tenant is not using a space the leasing staff will park in those spots). Overall the leasing staff changed multiple times during our 3.5 years. The last batch of leasing office girls were by far the worst. The last 9 months of our lease they lost hundreds of dollars worth of packages. We would get delivery confirmation emails stating the name of the staff that signed for the packages yet when we went to collect the packages they somehow didn't have them. Super sketchy... The quality of tenants really lowered - when we first moved in it was mostly young couples, bachelors, families and Mormon kids. By the time we left it was super sketchy people. Literally the day we moved out security from Kohl's across the street called the police after a person shop lifted and ran to their apartment in Haver Hill..this is not an exaggeration. Also, there is an empty furniture store across the street which has become an encampment for homeless people so I didn't feel safe walking my dog in any direction surrounding the complex. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the washer and dryers are nice (if you have the upgraded ones) and the first floor units have patios with space for a grass patch. This was huge for us because of our dog. Other than that I really don't think the 1800/mo plus $75/mo for an extra car port is worth the terrible leasing staff and unsafe location. read more
