I have been to Hawaii several times and I can attest that this is the closest I've come in the states for authentic Hawaiian cuisine. We brought a group of 10 into H5O3 and found ample seating and great service. Between all of us, we sampled several things on their menu with overall positive feedback. I posted two of our favorites below in the photo section: Korean BBQ & Mac and The ribs with fried rice. H5O3 knows how to prepare protein! Our chicken, pork, and ribs were juicy and packed with flavor. The macaroni salad is solid, but wasn't a standout. Our least favorite was the fried rice and I wouldn't order the "grilled vegetables" as a side next time. They came as a sauté and contained a lot of cabbage. On a side note, and a nice touch, they provide carafes of water and chilled mason jars for guests. If in the area again, however, I would visit Hawaii Five-O-3 again! read more

Great Hawaiian comfort food from people who know Hawaiin food. My family loves the kahlua pig (sp?) and the crazy chicken. Mac salad and fried rice are great sides but pig goes best with good ole white rice. Gotta check them out when in McMinnville. read more

Ordered a double chicken plate with Fried Rice come to find out it has 4 kinds of pork in it. It does not specify anywhere on the menu as of 8/23 that there is ANY pork in the fried rice. The plate arrived very messy as well so I couldn't tell at first. The teriyaki Chicken is under seasoned. The shoyu chicken was overcooked, and the rice has 4 kinds of pork in it that they didn't specify. This food is absolutely disgusting. read more

I ordered the Korean bbq chicken and Mac salad. They were both so good. Only come if you have a few minutes to spare because it does take some time to cook. I waited for over 30 mins. Which felt kinda crazy. Plenty of spots to sit inside. Only complaint aside from the wait is everything is served in to-go containers, even if you're eating there. The nice vibe of the place was overshadowed by the poor quality of food and a rude cook. We waited 30 minutes to be told that they were out of kalua pig. Ordered char-siu pork and ate piece that was raw, and cut into the other pieces to find raw pork. The women were very nice to replace our order with something else. However, afterwards, the male cook glared at us, and it sounded like he was throwing things around in the kitchen and was making aggressive comments we could hear through the curtained opening. It was 5 pm on a Friday. I came in and was immediately told at least two of the food options (one of them being white rice) were sold out. I ordered the last portion of crazy chicken, friend rice and mac salad. The chicken was panko crusted and pretty good. I was a little disappointed there were things sold out because I love having options. The Mac salad was good, plenty of mayo in it. I will say I wish that when I ordered for there they had not given me a to go box because that felt very wasteful. Overall the food was good, but maybe they are relatively new? I can't believe the other reviews. The food was inedible. We ate the Kalua pig, shoyu, Korean bbq chicken and teriyaki chicken. Not one was even close to being decent. All were extremely dry, even the pork. How?? The shoyu was like jerky. The rice had hard pieces in the majority of bites. The Mac salad was just macaroni and a little Mayo. The staff was very friendly. We spent $60 and threw most of it away. read more

Soooooo gooooood!! We weren't sure where to have lunch and landed here. They have new extended hours, so it was still open at 2pm. My husband and I shared a 3-meat plate with Kalua Pork, BBQ Teriyaki Chicken, and Char siu pork with Mac salad and half/half fried rice and white rice. All were cooked to order and delicious. The food here was extremely good. Left in a food coma. The crazy chicken was extremely juicy and would recommend it over traditional katsu elsewhere. The meat choices were also really good! The adobo pork was my favorite of the three! And i'm not saying that the rest were bad. I would buy this the exact plate over and over again. Might come back before we leave back to LA.
