I bought a Groupon for this place as a gift for my husband for Father's Day, it had good reviews so I was excited for him to use it. When he arrived, they told him they wouldn't accept it because "Groupon is closed". They said the massage would be free if they honored it and said "cancel your Groupon and pay me instead". He tried to reason with them that it was gifted to him, he didn't buy it. But they had no consideration. I called and all they said was Groupon was closed for them and "go to another spa" I just don't get it, why put yourself out there if you're not going to accept Groupon? And please have some consideration, it was a gift for goodness sake. He was humiliated, upset, and totally wasted his time.. I spoke on the phone and via text with them prior to booking this, they should have said something. Anyway, just a warning to all- don't buy their Groupon.- I just checked and it's still posted up! Can't say enough good things about Hawaii Hot Stone Spa! I was back in town and decided to opt for their 130 min massage (on Groupon) for cupping, hot stone, stretching, and deep tissue. I had Eili again, and she is truly on the top of my list for best masseuse ever! She really knows her stuff and her fingers are so strong. Me being a pretty large human who needs deep tissue, she beat me up!!! I hadn't done cupping in a few years, and Ellie gave me a octopus back with the cups and it really has helped my recovery (dealing with tightness all over my body and back pains). I've only had Eili and Miki (owner) massage me before and I can say both do a great job. I may try others just to see if they can match their skill! I had a last minute 90 minute massage with Mikki and it was amazing!!! She is super polite and accommodating. She started off by stretching my back and she did this before she worked a part of your body (arms, legs, glutes) and it felt wonderful!!!! She was even able to throw in a quick 30 minute facial with a great face massage! Aroma therapy and Tiger Baum is used if you chose so. My massage was so good by the time I got to my condo, I was barely able to eat and had only two sips of my wine.....I was so relaxed I knocked right out. There is a gentle exfoliating scrub they use that was amazing! Not only did I have a great massage, my skin was baby smooth! I highly recommend this massage salon and Mikki!!! Finding it in the complex is a little confusing but that's okay. I had a pretty weird experience-- showed up for a massage I booked a couple days prior online, was shown to a room and laid down and all that. One lady came in and started massaging me in what i think was a thai massage, standing on my back and pulling me in weird directions. I wrote that I only wanted upper back and shoulders when I made the booking so I was really taken aback by it. Then, ten minutes in, another lady comes in and they talk for a couple of minutes eventually and the first lady climbs off of my back and just leaves and the second one takes over. It was so confusing. I don't know what got mixed up but unfortunately it ruined the experience, and the massage I finally did get wasn't good enough to make up for it. I don't think it was worth the money. read more
