I went yesterday and we always bring exact change and on their site it says mon-fri couple massage price is $110. we brought in $120 and at check out they told us total was $120 and we gave it to them and then one of the ladies said "you need to tip" and wouldnt let me leave and made my partner go get her more money. They treated us like we didnt pay our bill but we over payed and then insisted on more money. Never experienced such a thing, truly disappointed. Came in hoping for some relief but honestly left feeling worse.The tall, long-haired masseuse didn't seem to know any professional techniques. She just pressed and kneaded randomly throughout the whole process. Not only did I not feel relieved after the massage, but I felt more sore and painful, as if the situation was aggravated. Communication was also difficult. She could hardly understand what I said, and even the simplest request required gestures, which completely discounted the whole experience. But the most outrageous thing was that she was very tough on tips. I had already given a reasonable tip, but she kept hinting that I wanted more, which was really unprofessional and embarrassing. This location is across from the convention center. It was a 25 minute walk from my hotel but I had my husband drive me. The massage was an Asian style. They offer CBD oil and hot stone. The Waikiki Massage Clinic is awesome! The massages that I have received here have been exceptional! Let me give you some background on why I say that. The covid-19 pandemic has really hit the Hawaii economy hard. I had to go a few months without a massage, because of the lockdown. This was particularly painful due to a car accident that I had a few years ago, injuring my neck and right shoulder. My work aggravates the injury, so regular massages are necessary. Now after Covid, besides the need for an excellent high quality massage (as opposed to a mediocre massage... you know what I'm talking about if you've gotten more than a few massages), I'm also concerned with cleanliness. I found both at the Waikiki Massage Clinic. This has to be the cleanest massage environment I've ever seen. When you walk in the front door, you will see immediately when I mean. The owner, Jen, told me that they do deep cleanings on a regular basis, and it shows! The rooms are clean, the floor is clean, the linens/sheets are clean, and the bathroom is exceptionally clean. You get the idea, and you we'll see this for yourself when you walk in the front door. They greet you at the door with a temperature check to make sure that you do not have a fever. They are very safety conscious, from the therapists using masks, to the constant cleaning of everything. All of this would be nice, but have little value if they didn't deliver a high-quality massage. The therapists that have worked on me, have been very skilled, with some having had many years of experience and training. This is refreshing, as sometimes you may get a massage from someone who doesn't have much skill or experience. This is not that kind of a massage. In fact the owner told me that she specifically hires therapists with experience, who know their trade. Each therapist has their own technique, but they all seem to do a little stretching, along with deep tissue and shiatsu. They will also walk on your back, if you I want them to work your pressure points with more pressure. The owner, Jen, along with the majority of the therapists, speak English well, which is always helpful if you're trying to tell the therapist what hurts and what needs attention. You can call or text for an appointment. Parking is pretty much the same with all the other businesses in the Century Center building. When you drive up, tell them you're going to the Waikiki Massage Clinic, and they'll give you a pass which you place in your car window. The parking costs you $2 with a validation from the clinic. What initially got my attention to start going here (besides the cleanliness), was that they have the clearance to provide essential medical massage. So no need to wait two months between massages if things go on lockdown again, hopefully! TLDR; super high-quality professional massage, incredibly clean environment, an owner that is responsive and helpful. Zero massage techniques. I was just being pressed around, there was no effort or routine; some pressing were done on my left, but she doesn't do the same for the right, I was confused. The stepping was even worse, I just kept getting my spine stepped on for no apparent logic, and repeatedly. If you have disk issues on your spine, back problems, don't come here. I had my back massaged with feet before and it's nothing like this. I honestly would not recommend this place. Towards the end, she said she would wait for me outside to give me water. First of all, no water was given and she just stared at me expecting a tip. Just had the ultimate (2hour) massage with Vivi and I had an AMAZING time! She kindly asked my massage preferences, such as the strength and "problem" areas. She really focused on my requests and catered the whole 2hours to the areas that needed the most care, never wasting a minute on somewhere that doesn't need anything. Terrible experience massage ever!!! Call in for foot head massage for our family (4 of us) 3pm. Arrived 15 mins early, first of all the staff is confusing us how they gonna do the massage and take them almost 15 minutes to figure out that we not need couple massage,, head and foot massage only. While we getting massage, one of therapists's phone ring most of our massage, she stop and answer the phone six times, this is not cool. I had to pay for the full hour. When we asked who put our daughter to sleep, my therapist ran over to say, "no it was me." I think she was afraid I would tip the other therapist. When we checked out they told us the massage costs $190. We paid this in cash. We were the working on who got what tip. I gave my therapist a $7 tip (15%) and my husband gave his therapist $20 (he always tips so much). The two therapists who massages my kids started saying they had not been tipped yet. My husband gave them each $10. As we were getting ready to leave, they said "wait, you did not pay enough." They wanted to charge us $30 more. Their sign says $45/hr for a foot massage. Yet, as my husband and I got a head massage too, this was an extra $15 each. I paid the extra $30 and we got out of there. Overall we spent $267 plus $4 for parking for a total of $271.
