It was an awesome day with Nevin! Lots of great local information and so many turtles. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible day going on this tour. There were so many amazing views and sights to take in. Nevin, our guide, was personable, funny, informative, and super chill calling us back with a conch shell and playing his ukulele at some of the stops which really created a nice vibe. Raul the driver was also great! We even made an unexpected stop to see a rare monk seal that was chilling on the beach!! We would highly recommend booking this experience.

Booked through groupon for my daughters birthday , they picked us up in a van around 7:15 then we grabbed a few other families , it was a small and more intimate group only 6 of us , but man was it a blast ! every one was very friendly , we shared some chocolate caramel macadamia nuts , even decided to all swim together when we went snorkeling! The weather wasn't too pleasant quite windy and cloudy a lot of road closed to a marathon , but that did not STOP JUSTIN from giving us personality , laughter , culture and fun ! Everything he talked to us about and showed us he seemed to really enjoy the facts about the island he was telling us , it felt more like i was being guided by my fun friend who knows a whole bunch about hawaii ! For a tour guide he is very knowledgeable and makes an effort to talk to us about things we're interested in , instead of just talking our ears off , Justin had a very pleasant aura , and a star quality charisma ! he made this tour very exciting and enjoyable for me n my little one , will be looking forward to visiting again on our next trip

It's a must to stop here ! Delicious

We just came back from a fantastic North Shore Circle Island Tour with Hawaii Turtle Tours led by Kurt and Harry. While we have been on many tours, Kurt was so fun (and funny!), informative, kept us all punctual and really taught us a lot about Oahu, which is saying a lot as we've been to the island before, have been on many tours and already knew a LOT! However, this was the first time we've been on the island with our children (ages 24 and 17), and they confirmed they also had an awesome time experiencing all of their Oahu "firsts." I highly recommend the North Shore Circle Island Tour with Kurt and Harry. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!

Our tour was great! Nevin was an awesome guide he gave us history, legends, and myths, and even played his ukilali. We swam with turtles, and some did the snorkeling. We ended at Dole plantation and the dole whip was delicious

North Shore Circle Island Adventure Tour, Honolulu - highlights: Halona Blowhole lookout, Kuala Point, Dole plantation, Diamondhead, snorkeling on North Shore Good tour to some of Honolulu's main sightseeing spots & beach time for snorkeling. Booked thru Viator - Convenient pick-up spots in downtown Waikiki. Devin, the tour guide, was knowledgeable & friendly, a native of Honolulu, he added some local flavor about various spots & recent history/politics. This could be dubbed the "eat snacks around Honolulu" tour - along the route, we stopped for macadamia nuts, fresh fruit, rice & shrimp (lunch), shaved ice & Dole whip (ice cream). Bring cash for lunch & other stops where you might want to pick something up. It was about 7 hours, hitting some of the natural "must-see" sightseeing spots on the island. As several really are just stop-and-see type spots, the tour was a good way to catch them all in 1 day. But note on Diamondhead - this stop is on the outside of the mountain/crater, if you want to get to the top, make time to come back later for a hike; tourists have to make reservations in advance. The highlight was the swim/snorkel with the sea turtles stop. I imagined more of a swim among a school of turtles (its probably not called a "school") kind of thing, although maybe that would've been a little scary,  as they are kinda big. (Note - the sea turtles are protected by federal law so if you see them, leave them alone.) We did see turtles, very close - but they were actually easier to spot when we were out of the water than while swimming. The little bay area is a nice, cool sheltered area to swim & snorkel and was a fun swim break in the middle of the tour. Small bus, about 18 people on the tour, mostly family groups. I went solo on this tour and it was fun - so if you aren't sure about going alone - go for it!

On our way home we listened to Nevin playing the Ukelele and we kicked back and relaxed after a very entertaining day.

Nevin was the best tour guide. If you want to learn about Hawaii, past, present, mythology, and the language he knows everything and answered our question's eloquently and with a wonderful sense of humor. Our driver John was great too. The tour was the best and we enjoyed every minute of it. The shrimp for lunch was excellent and very moreish I strongly support this tour company.

I've been on a lot of different tours and excursions in Oahu and Maui. This is by far the best and my favorite tour. Kurt and Victor made the entire experience. Each stop and location were perfect in terms of timing and photo opportunities. The history behind the tours were so very much appreciated especially when Kurt has you laughing till your stomach hurts. You learn some fascinating legends, trivia and background, such as the battle of the flying fish. The stop at the fruit stand was fun and the Shrimp plate was the best I've had on the island. I would recommend booking this tour at least the first or second day of your trip to get a sense of the true beauty of Oahu. Snorkeling was short, but I had no problem with that.

It was a pleasure to have Justin as our tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed all the stops and were delighted by the unexpected whale sightings. I highly recommend this island tour for couples or families.

Mike our tour guide was part of the reason we had such a fantastic tour! He was funny, knowledgeable and a real person! The tour was timely, organized and well maintained. I especially appreciate him being so respectful about the turtles and the history of the culture, reminding us to respect these keep our distance from the turtles who are on the endangered species list. Definitely recommend them and if you can get Mike, even better!

Kurt and Harry ROCK! I've been on a lot of excursions and this was special. They truly care about everyone on the tour and makes you feel good to be apart of the family for the day. We had a blast! We had a special treat on our tour. There was a Make A Wish family on our tour, made my trip extra sweet. Great weather and well lead. Thank you!

The biggest highlights for us were the Byodo-In Temple and the Dole Plantation. We were originally going to drive ourselves to these places, but we were so glad we ran into the vendors on the street instead. Some of the stops didn't quite meet our expectations, but for the price (especially with the discount), it was well worth it. However, the real heartbeat of the tour wasn't even the sites--it was Neo and Ryan. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the island, and their presentation was filled with heartwarming honesty, real facts, and no sugar-coating. They made sure to include everyone in the conversation, which showed such genuine care for the guests. We absolutely loved them and would tour with them again on any other adventures. I highly recommend taking a tour with Neo and Ryan--they will absolutely make your time worthwhile! Love from L. T. and family.

We found the Living Ocean Tours Turtle Canyon experience through Viator and paid about $80/person which we felt was incredibly reasonable. We saw prior reviews stating that the best time to go is early morning, so we decided to take the first boat out. This was honestly a pro tip as we were not only one of three small groups on the boat, but were also the first boat out to the canyon making the experience feel intimate and memorable! We met the amazing crew who were so knowledgable, friendly, and safety-savvy. The ride itself took about 15 minutes each way. Once we arrived, we felt totally confident swimming out with the provided snorkels, life jackets, and flippers after completing the safety lecture. The crew also emphasized protection of wildlife, instructing us to do our very best to stay 10 ft away or more from the turtles. At times, the turtles would come close to us without our knowledge, so we were also instructed on how to gently swim away when this occurred to maintain safe distance. We spent about an hour and a half total in the water, which was more than enough time to see loads of turtles. When it was time to return, we enjoyed complimentary snacks and drinks on the boat.
