So, sure enough I made a trip out there...It's a good 25 minute drive from where I live. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken and it was some of the best chicken I ever had! Even with a plastic fork and knife, it was super tender and moist. Grilled perfectly and tasted so darn delicious! They gave me a side of Teriyaki, which I barely used on my rice, since the Chicken was flavorful enough! The Mac Salad was very good as well! If it seems a little on the speedy side, it cost me almost $17 with tax, they justify by giving a big portion of Chicken and rice. It's enough to split among two people. Next time I make a trip out there, I would like to try their Garlic Chicken or their Poke dish. I wanted to try their dessert, but I didn't see a Chocolate dessert listed on the menu. Maybe next time! ;-)

The woman who took my order, pretty sure she's one of the owners, was very friendly and kind. We chatted for a bit as I was waiting for my order which was very nice. I ordered the pork katsu which comes with Mac salad and rice. Food came out very quickly and when I was handed the box I was so surprised at how heavy it was. You get A LOT of food for your buck which is awesome. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh! This is located on the side of a mini mart, initially when I pulled up I thought it wasn't there but then finally saw it and had to turn around. Nice food truck with lots of yummy options. Excited to come back and try it again. However they did say they were closing for the rest of the year for winter break. Also, take note this is cash only! Luckily I had some cash but they have an ATM in the mini mart it's next to if you don't have any.

Find a table and patiently wait for them to call your name so you can finally get some of that deliciousness!!!! Love the island vibes. Garlic Shrimp cooked to perfection. Tender, bouncy, garlicky. While the kitchen takes its time and the pricing details can be a little confusing at the register, the sheer amount of food you receive makes it well worth the wait. Trio Plate (4/5): An absolutely massive sampler that provides enough food to easily split between two or three people. The container is packed so full that it requires a rubber band to stay shut, with extra items overflow-packed into separate containers. The individual proteins are a bit of a mixed bag, but the deep frying technique is delicious: Ono Chicken (4/5): Perfectly crispy chicken thighs that are deep-fried fresh to order with no old oil taste. However, I felt like the sweet and savory garlic shoyu sauce described on the menu was lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting. Dynamite Pork Katsu (4/5): The highlight of the plate. It also had a crispy light batter with no greasy residue. The spicy mayo and katsu "dynamite" sauce carry the dish, though all the sauce is concentrated on the top layer, leaving the pieces at the bottom a bit bland. Meat Jun (3/5): My least favorite of the options. The egg and flour batter felt sparse, and the thinly sliced marinated beef was tough to chew from the heavy amount of tendon. Sides (5/5): The singular scoop of rice is a massive portion on its own and perfectly cooked. Swapping the second scoop for mac salad is highly recommended, which was delicious, perfectly balanced, and not overly weighed down by heavy mayo. Logistics Tip: Arriving on a weekend afternoon shortly after opening means walking into a very busy place. Be sure to grab a physical menu from the stand near the cashier before jumping into the line to order. Note that the menu lacks transparency regarding upcharges: you may encounter unexpected $1-2 additions for certain premium meats in the Trio combo, as well as a $2 charge to swap a rice scoop for mac salad. Parking is highly limited, so expect to hunt for a spot along the surrounding neighborhood streets.

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised
