Drinks (IPA and a Calpico) came out very quick as well as the Tabor tofu (3). The food was good. We had the Tabor tofu (kids enjoyed) and x2 Kaiyo Tsukemen. The dipping ramen came out with a nice jammy soft boiled egg and the noodles had a pretty good chew. The sauce was a bit thin but had that good seafood umami flavor. Pork belly was well portioned and had a light char. Overall, decent place to eat. Had to dock stars because out of the 4 items we were hoping to get for dinner, they did not have 3 available (fried Ota Tofu, Blistered Shishitos and Umami Mazemen). Maybe they were super busy early on but we were there around 6:45p so surprised menu items were not available. The staff was quick to apologize and worked quickly to get a 2nd Kaiyo Tsukemen out for us when the Umami Mazemen was not available. Wish we could've tried those dishes as I think it would've been a better complete meal. Kids still enjoyed it and our plates were empty so food was still good. Good amount of seating inside, utensils and water are self serve and looks like it could be a fun spot during summer months if they are able to roll up the garage doors!

This was easily the standout dish and the reason I would come back. Veggie Roll (5/5) Good portions with thick avocado and a solid mix of sesame, carrots, and cucumber. Fresh, clean flavors and very satisfying for a simple roll. Smoked Salmon (5/5) Good, thick pieces with nice smoky flavor. Fresh and well prepared. Overall, the food was consistent and high quality across everything we ordered. Service (4/5): Good overall, though it felt like there was only one hostess working during the rush hour. Because of that, things moved a bit slower than expected, but the staff was still polite and helpful. Ambiance (3/5): There are tables in the main dining area, bar seating, and more tables in the back. It works well for groups and families, but I would recommend making a reservation during busy hours. Parking is the biggest challenge. It is very tight and limited, especially when the restaurant is busy, which adds some stress before you even walk in. Great food and worth the visit, just plan ahead for parking and wait time.

It's soft and chewy and the perfect thickness: you dip it on the soup when you eat it. I also loved the soup, I usually have leftover soup when eat noodles, but I finished every last sip! Definitely recommend this dish if you were to only order one item! We also ordered the kama-meshi seafood. I thought this one tasted okay! The flavors of the seafood come through, but I personally like stronger and heavier flavors. It was worth a try! Parking: This restaurant is in downtown portland so it was difficult to find parking. We ended up parking at a nearby garage and paid for parking. They do have a few street parking spots near the restaurant if you want to test your luck! They have a menu of about 10 rolls & at least 4 involve tempura - which to me isn't the sushi I'm searching for. I want FISH. In addition, their beverages were also limited. I feel like if you're more of a novice to sushi this is for you, but if you love fish & fresh fish - then I would go elsewhere. I will likely not be back nor recommend to visitors; however i would say it is satisfactory to perhaps the most average or novice sushi lover.
