We gave this location a second try, because our first attempt wasn't good. The waitress was nice, but not very attentive. Then the French dip meat was very tough and lukewarm when served. The fries were old and cold. The booth seats were duct taped. My family says the location in Goodyear is a lot better all around. read more

Interesting decorating, I ordered the bacon Burrito and my wife had the Huevos Ranchos while we shared two very thick pancakes. The food was really good and filling, we took half if it to go. To be honest all I got was the French toast with banana (which I had to add), but I have to say I loved it. If you like the taste of vanilla on your French toast, this is the place for you. My dad got a breakfast plate with eggs, potatoes and bacon and liked the eggs and bacon but not the potatoes, but the eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon was wonderfully crispy. He did order crispy bacon and they came through. My only complaint was that the mimosa I ordered was less than half filled (but tasted really good), and they had us waiting for a while even though there was plenty of seating. They are packed with guests and I see why. If you're looking for a breakfast place and have time to wait to be seated I definitely would suggest this spot. Not really worth the wait. Over crowded. Felt like a bar that had a breakfast. Service was great and fast once you get seated. Food was hot but not very flavorful. Came here post a mini-tri race in the area and the food, atmosphere and 'short wait' were great. We were all craving different things and they have it all for both breakfast and lunch items. At our table, someone of course grabbed the chicken and waffle... pleasantly surprised as the chicken was seasoned really well. Bar area also serves for seating but it's easy to grab a drink and many of Mimosa's were needed after the race. Also had the Chocolate chip pancakes and California Omelette w/Sourdough. I observed the bartender filling my mimosa with soda water, and the waitress told me they do that to give it bubbles. My daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken and they charged her for the Nashville fried chicken not hot, which was $6 more. The over medium eggs were severely undercooked the whites of the eggs were all over the plate. My son ordered the cinnamon roll and it was so hard I had to saw it apart with the knife from my daughter's chicken fried chicken. Lastly I got the California omelet that had so much diced onion in it, that's all I could taste and it wasn't something I could pick out. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

Finally found a decent place for breakfast. I can't believe it's so hard to find a good breakfast joint in the Phoenix area. But finally tried this place and wow! The best eggs Benedict I've had in arizona. Hands down! We also had the left coast eggs Benedict and they were pretty dang good as well. The cinnamon roll was good but personally I prefer it without the orange zest. Service was amazing and place was clean. Bonus: the price is right as well! read more

My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity: + hubby really enjoyed his Arizona omelette. It was a nice blend of green chilies, avocado and salsa + the brisket was pretty smoked. Juicy and shredded + the BBQ sauce was delicious - the pulled pork was dry. Very dry. Thank goodness for the savory sweet BBQ sauce. Also service was S L O W. It took us about 10 minutes to order, another 10 for our drinks and 15 -20 additional for our food. Haymaker is such a local commodity, I took family here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the environment. The menu is expansive, so there's something for everyone, plus the portions are large enough to share with is nice. The staff are usually pretty friendly, although service can get slow. NW Coffee is served here as well but the menu for it is a little confusing. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, brunch is the best (if you can snag a table)! read more

Walked in today with no wait which was fantastic. We were sat and noticed how filthy under our table was including an open syrup packet and 3 tables surrounding us that were unbussed and filthy underneath. Waited a bit and were never met with service so we left and will not be returning. If the staff can allow the dining room to look that disgusting I am scared to know what the kitchen looks like. read more

Great new location. Been coming to this restaurant for years but I'm sad to say I had one of the worst meals tonight. My go to is their ribs. Well tonight what they served me was a grisly, inedible, over cooked, piece of shoe leather. It was so hard it was difficult to cut with a knife. The service was also not up to par either. Should have had a clue something was amiss when I ordered an unsweet black iced tea and it came out sweet. The server then explained after they pour the tea they add a syrup to it. Clueless.
