Great people, great service, and friendly. A great place to get a bacon cheeseburger, and try the onion rings!

Sad we didn't get to try it, since it was closed by 2:30pm on a Saturday. Hope to come back when they are open.

I just had the BEST biscuit and bacon sandwich I've ever ate! I'll be back for breakfast again every time I'm back in Richards.

And for my first time, this was a really great experience! First the negatives. The time it takes to get your food is extremely long and the place even on a weekday is still packed (personally, there was someone at another table constantly bumping into me). But if you can get over that, this place is absolutely insane. The fish dishes we got had the largest fried fishes I've ever seen, the fried batter was so light and airy, and the flavor of the fish was just extremely fresh and well made. I prefer the cod to the haddock due to its cleaner taste and more break apart texture, but both are really good. The shepherd's pie I got was also really good, with a lot of different spices and filling with a really nice and light crust. The only dish we got that I was a little bit skeptical about was the fried shrimp, which was good, but nothing too too special. Last two things. Our waitress was SO nice and very welcoming. She made the long wait not feel like an issue on her part, but rather just the cook time for our meal. Lastly, the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely elite. So rich and moist, as well as perfectly sweet and nicely portioned for around 2 people. An excellent cap to this overall incredible experience.

Best fresh fish and chips around - I have not had any better, yet…read more I get the same EVERY time, can't try anything else yet: Haddock Dinner. HUGE tender filet. Thin crispy batter. Fresh cut fries. Tarter tastes in-house made. Fish / Shrimp kids meals for the kids (comes with drinks) they love it too. I drive from the city just for this! Price point makes sense for being out here at Kemah.

I visited here on a Friday afternoon around 1pm and they had fish! Woohoo. This is my third try, I…read morehad gone on weekends before and they were sold out both days. I ordered the haddock fish and chips and a side of tartar sauce. I also got a bottle of water and a can of Diet Coke. $22. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Plenty of seating. They did have one table with a reserved sign on it so maybe you can make a reservation too? Not sure but just an observation. I also heard someone call in an order which I think is a great idea. They make everything to order and it took about 20 min (worth it) but if you're time pressed I would call ahead. Plenty of parking out front. Lot is safe. I noticed they keep everything super clean. Right after a group left someone came over immediately to wipe off and clean. Food - haddock was great. Tartar sauce probably some of the best I've ever had. Pro tip to reheat, 10-15 min in oven 375. To get five stars I would say the tables are kind of worn, the seats aren't the most comfortable. It's hot inside. They have a fan but it wasn't going as far as I could tell. There are conflicting bathroom signs. The front door says no public restrooms but there is a sign on the wall saying lavy to the right. So I think a more accurate sign may be restrooms for customers only? If there is indeed a bathroom to use. But all in all solid place and I'll be back.

Everything seems to be made to order so it can take a little bit longer than you might think, but it's freshly fried and tasty! I wish they didn't charge extra for tartar sauce or curry sauce. Ever since leaving and moving to Austin area, I've longed for my gumbo, crawfish and even down home red beans and rice. Well, until now!! We just randomly decided on seafood while in Waco, and lemme tell yall. This place will not disappoint!! I had a bowl of probably the top 10 best I've ever had!! (Sorry mom), and also the red beans and ohhhh my lawd!!!! The atmosphere when you walked in let you know this was gonna be a good meal. The decor, and even almost entire wall with prices and the daily specials written on it. The waitress tried to tell us about it, and I'm pretty sure the wife was paying attention, but I already had my stomach setting up to receive gumbo. Multiple waitstaff stopped by to check on us throughout the meal, and all were very friendly! Serving sizes to make you loosen a belt notch to be able to breathe!! Wife had the fish and chips and couldn't eat the fries! That all said, I also found out that gumbo and beans and rice were made from scratch DAILY, and not that prepared stuff you get at some places!! Stop and be ready to Laissez les bons temps rouler!!
