I grew up in Newport Beach, CA and I'm not afraid to admit that we know a little bit about schmancy. Checking the menu selection here reminded me a lot of the delicacies back home. I've come to confess that what we're seeing here is better than Newport Beach faire. I highly recommend the beef tongue agnolotti and also the beef marrow along with the salmon latke. The steak is top notch the cocktails are unique delicious and interesting. I must admit at the very core is the staff and team behind the restaurant and we found the people friendly, professional, and dedicated to making sure Hayworth as wonderful the experience as the food. The server knew the menu and made several recommendations which was so helpful. We had 3 or 4 different people serving us at various tunes - and all of them were extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about the dishes. Food: the Caesar was my husband's favorite. It was very unique with thinly shredded lettuce, shredded Parmesan, crouton crumbles, and seasoned to perfection. The brussels sprouts were delicious, the sweet potato fingerlings were sweet and succulent. The diver scallop Crudo was such a fun, elevated plate of food. The fish was cooked to perfection! And the chef came out and talked to every table. It was quiet enough to enjoy a conversation, it was Tuesday night so it was as busy as I would expect it to be. Living in Henderson, the wife and I always get excited about new, non-chain, non-fast food or fast casual, restaurants opening up in our neighborhood. Needless to say, we were ecstatic to have Hayworth open in the old 138 Steakhouse space. After giving it a month to work out the kinks, we went there for dinner on a Saturday night. Hayworth retained the overall layout of the previous tenant, but the space was definitely improved with a buildout and design that was more open, very contemporary and upscale. It was a welcoming, comfortable space. Hayworth is labeled as a steakhouse, but I find that to be a bit reductive and misleading as it's so much more than that. I started off with a cocktail off of their intriguing cocktail list that called out to classic Las Vegas. I had the Elvis Live at the Hayworth made with bacon-washed, peanut butter whiskey and banana liqueur. It was a well-made, boozy drink that was nicely balanced and did serious liquid justice to Elvis Presley's favorite sandwich. For our food, we shared an order of Laguna Blanca Salmon and Latke, a take on the classic Latke with Gravlax. The glistening, cured salmon was presented over a potato latke and topped with dill and trout roe. It was a very satisfying starter. For my entree, I had the Sablefish with tahini, apple honey, beurre blanc, roasted parsnips, and topped with trout roe. The fish was perfectly moist and flaky. I thoroughly enjoyed the dish, but my only critique of it would be to dial back the amount of the beurre blanc just a bit so as to not overpower the delicate flavor of the fish. My wife had the standout savory course of the night with the 24-Hour Wagyu Pastrami. It was tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful. Between here and his SMKD BBQ, Chef Reznik is doing the best pastrami in the valley. We shared a side of the Crispy Brussels Sprouts topped with tahini and green shug, a Yemenite hot sauce, which added a bit of spice to the humble, but delicous Brussels sprouts. Not that we needed it, we couldn't pass on the Warm Sticky Plum Pudding from Hayworth's concise, yet intriguing, lineup of sweet endings. If you love Sticky Toffee Pudding as much as I do, then you'll find this Sticky Plum Pudding simply irresistible. Hayworth's secret sauce is Chef Alex Reznik's obvious desire to pay proper homage to his Eastern European and Jewish heritage in creating his exciting, delicious menu. One of the wife's and my favorite food memories was our dinner at Zahav in Philadelphia over a decade ago. Chef Alex could take on any of the legendary greats on one of those Food Network cooking shows and wipe the floor with them. It's not often you find the right combination of service, outstanding food, and value in one place. Boyfriend and I came here for a quick date night on Tuesday and the whole place was packed. As soon as you walk in you see a gorgeous marble bar and every seat was taken. We knew we picked the right spot. The owner greeted us at hostess area, we waited a few mins to be seated but didn't mind she was very gracious and we saw how busy it was and the vibe was great just what we were looking for. I love how this is husband and wife owned business and they care about every detail and it shows. Started off with the bone marrow so many good reviews and I concur. The pastrami! After enjoying Haywoth's sister restaurant, SMKD, we were anxious to try Hayworth. The restaurant is physically very pretty (see photo). The service was excellent throughout the meal. There were a couple of managers who roamed checking that things were going well. We opted to share a couple of appetizers, two main dishes and a side. We started with the challah knot and chicken schmaltz ($9). While the menu describes the bread product on this dish as challah, it is closer to brioche than challah. Not a big negative, just a bit disappointing. Next came the potato kugel ($19). I found it to be very tasty. Our main dishes were the chicken ($29) and the branzino ($46). The chicken was incredibly tender and delish. The branzino was a bit too lemony for me but still very good. The winner of the night was the fire roasted sweet potato ($14). Prepared with pastrami, mini marshmallows, and honey butter. Best sweet potato I have ever eaten!!! So if the setting was lovely and the service excellent and the food very good,why only 4 stars? The noise level made conversation a real challenge. I know there are many who find that type of vib enjoyable. Not me. I go to dinner with friends to have conversation, not to shout to be heard. Had some time to think about my recent experience here on 6/20. I had such a great time. The ambiance is nice and romantic. The wait staff are very nice. The only slight negative would be service was a little slow, but nothing that would deter me from going back. Drinks were really well made, smooth with top notch liquor. The Aviation, Espresso Martini and Vanilla Bramble were very good. Espresso Martini had a bold coffee flavor, and the added cream took it over the top. Best I've had in a while. A standout was the Oaxacan Old Fashion - this was the best drink of the night, Reposado tequila and smoky mezcal together is amazing. The bitters and orange twist was a nice addition. So good Food was also really good, we ate a lot. Standouts were the Chicken Paprikash - I could eat the homey version of this elevated dish. Chicken skin was crisp and flavorful, while the chicken meat was moist and juicy; Farro Risotto - Never had a risotto with farrow before, farrow brought a great nutty flavor and had a good chew on it which was surprisingly delicious; Everything Kinnebec Fries - Best fries I've had in a long time. Right crisp outside with fluffy inside and right amount of seasoning; Sticky Plum Pudding - I'm not someone who eats plum flavored desserts at all, but this was a mildly sweet plum dessert that was delicious and not over powering. From the amazing food and cocktails, to the excellent service, everything was an absolutely wonderful experience. When we stopped by they had only been open 3 days! If this is them still finding their footing, I can't wait to see where they land once they're fully in their groove. From the moment we walked in, Heather at the hostess stand set the tone -- warm, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable. She recommended the Nero d'Avola, a lovely departure from the usual Malbec or Rioja crowd. Lighter, elegant, and absolutely delicious. The space itself is stunning. Open, airy, with lighting that gives serious Great Gatsby vibes -- glamorous but not stuffy. The soundtrack was a fun surprise too: Ozzy Osbourne to De La Soul to Lionel Richie. Somehow it all works. The warm bread and schmaltz is a must-order. The bread is baked fresh in-house and arrives genuinely warm. The schmaltz was a new experience for me -- it gave the bread this incredible flavor reminiscent of chicken dumplings. The bone marrow followed, served with both a bacon jam and a brisket jam -- rich, indulgent, and expertly done. For mains, I had the aged salmon with forbidden rice, cooked to absolute perfection. My dining companion ordered the wagyu New York strip with fingerling potatoes -- it came out medium rare when medium was ordered, but to the kitchen's credit, they took it back without hesitation and returned it cooked exactly right. That kind of responsiveness, this early in their run, speaks volumes. Our server Ashley was the perfect balance of laid-back and professional. incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. Gene, the GM, made a point to visit every table to check in and make sure guests were enjoying themselves -- that personal touch goes a long way. Really enjoyed our dinner at Hayworth. The food was excellent and the service was a standout. Everyone was attentive, enthusiastic and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. I had the 20 oz New York strip and shared it with my daughter, my wife loved her salmon, and our cocktails were great as well. The only significant downside was how warm it was inside the restaurant. We were all sweating during dinner and ultimately skipped dessert because we were too uncomfortable to stay any longer. We mentioned it to the staff and they checked on the AC for us, but unfortunately it was already running at full blast. We actually felt bad for the staff having to work in that heat. My daughter even commented that the restroom was noticeably cooler than the dining room. Overall, really good food, great cocktails and excellent service. Well this was different! Hasn't been open too long so definitely some kinks to work out, but all in all, we had an incredible dinner. Cute place; upscale / romantic vibe with 90s alternative playing in the background. Everyone was extremely friendly, and again they are new, but it did seem a little scattered front of the house. They were slammed which was great to see for an amazing new little gem of a restaurant. Vanilla bramble, on the sweeter side but great berry flavor. Strawberry clover club was similar and also enjoyed. Loved their picante de la casa; unique spicy marg with a cilantro twist. The only things I didn't care for as much were the potatoes with the chicken and the potatoes with the caviar app as they seemed a little under. The chard that came with the chicken also had an almost fishy flavor I didn't love. Minor points all in all given how much everything else blew us away. The chicken, crispy skin and juicy with a beautiful paprika based sauce underneath. Great take on a perfectly cooked fillet (loved the sauce and the porcini cake!). 100% Get the bread with that chicken butter and piece of crispy chicken skin cracker. Some of the best pastrami I've had outside of ny. Sweet potato was good. Plum pudding was decadent and dense. Wish it had more ice cream on top but we loved it overall. This is a refreshing new experience in Henderson. I was very impressed with the decor. It does not feel like a strip mall restaurant. Very upscale and well laid out. Staff is wonderful. I was warmly welcomed and offered a bar menu, which solidified my choice to order a cocktail while waiting on my party. Bar staff were very nice and my drink was great. I was tempted to try their specialty Old Fashioned made with tequila. Another time maybe. Service was extremely friendly and upbeat. Dining is casual, but staff has very professional attire. It is a very welcoming atmosphere and staff was attentive despite a packed house. We never felt rushed and no question went unanswered. Team leadership stopped by to check on us. The the lack of a bread basket is their Achilles' heal for me. There is a bread on the menu, but it is just one challah knot. I don't mind paying from bread, but I recommend they add a bread basket. It will be hard to compete with places like Hank's without one. I wouldn't have order the Charred Cabbage, but is sharable and delightful. The Romaine was chopped and very good. I was disappointed there were not more salad options. I had the filet, medium rare, which perfectly prepared and was very good. I prefer my steak without sauce, but elected to try the OMFG sauce. It was okay, but the steak stands alone and I would leave the sauce off in the future. Mashed potatoes come with the filet and were very creamy. The french fries are excellent. Desert was special. The birds milk cake is a work of art, with its hard white chocolate (egg) shell and yummy insides (see photos). They have only been open about 6 weeks and they are off to a great start. I hope they add bread, a couple more side and salad choices. If they do, I'd predict reservations will be required every night. read more

Made reservations and asked for a window seat. We were placed in the middle of the restaurant. After introductions and drinks we were asked if we wanted to move. Tables around us got bread and we did not and were never asked if we want bread. Presentation of food was excellent but the quality was not. Sadly, we were looking for a new local spot but we will not be back We had to excuse ourselves to get the gristle from the meat out. This should be done during food prep. AC/DC was playing overhead. First time here and I'm very impressed from our greeting by Gene to our waitress Allie we were treated like royalty. Our meal was superb. The bone marrow was fantastic and the Branzino was the best I've ever had. This place is definitely a repeat. read more

Decided to check this out because it's new to the area. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the bread appetizer, which should have been complimentary like most restaurants. However the bread was on the stale side and not warm. Bread could've used some salt as well as the chicken schmaltz. Lacked serious flavor. Highly disappointed from the start. We ordered cocktails and those were as they should be. We got one of the chicken consommé and I will say it said it was one of the best I've had. I ordered the NY Waygu Strip steak. It was tough to cut even though it looked cooked appropriately. I found myself sawing the meat. The steak did not impress overall and was expensive. They also served potato chips on the side... which I found odd and cheap approach. Not a lot of vegetables sides to choose. We also ordered the sable fish and it was quite fishy. The only thing that saved it was the béchamel sauce. We ordered the babka dessert and it was dried out worse than the appetizer bread. It was so hard that we could barely cut through it. So bad we had that removed from the bill, which they offered graciously. But then the bill came.. and let's say sticker shock immediately. Way over priced for the quality of food. In general, the food lacked salt and seasoning as well. Very underwhelming. On a specific note... I was charged for the large ice cube in my cocktail. $4.50 a cube. Never even disclosed that was a charge, that was definitely a first for us. After tipping 20% my bill was over $400. Bottom line, was hoping for a new local spot, but sadly it is not for us. read more

Just wow. The vibes, the food, the service, all amazing and top notch. It's no wonder that this place is highly rated. Food: My steak was medium rare and was perfectly seared. My wife likes her's butterflied and turned out great as well. They really accommodated how you want your steaks cooked. The dessert was amazing! Plum pudding was definitely top 5 in my desserts list now. Service: Very attentive staff and food came out at an excellent pace. Our server was knowledgeable and made us feel taken care of. Ambience: It was nice and cozy, dark lighting for the vibes and the place wasn't overly loud. I'm glad there is now a great option in Henderson if i'm feeling steak or something a little fancy. read more

I would love to say the food here was the star of the show because it was some of the best I have had. But I really think what makes this place so amazing is the experience. It is an all inclusive incredible experience. One of the most beautiful restaurants I have seen. The service was not overwhelming but very attentive. The drinks are imaginative and perfectly done. First time there with a special lady. Atmosphere is excellent. Shared their bread and beets. Both were great. For entrees we shared the salmon and the waygu pastrami. Salmon was excellent. The thick cut pastrami was very favorable but was pretty chewy. Service was ok but we had to flag someone down to pick up the check. Would return but not for the pastrami. read more
