I love this place so much! I've been coming here once a week for the past month and a half for the same order--turkey pesto panini. It is so delicious and also nutritious! It comes with a choice of fruit, salad or chips. I usually order over the phone and pick it up but today I ordered through Postmates and had an issue with Postmates. My postmate who was picking up my order had trouble picking up my food and handed his phone to the owner of the cafe, Richie, and apparently Something Healthy doesn't have an account with Postmates so the cafe didn't receive my order or my payment. But regardless of this, Richie still went ahead and made my order for my postmate to deliver to me anyway. If this isn't customer service at its finest, i don't know what is! Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing owner! I've come to this location multiple times and on each occasion I've always had a pleasant experience. The sandwiches are great, they're appropriately sized, and pack a mouthful of flavor. I absolutely love their smoothies as well. I'm an active gym goer, protein shakes are regular to me. They incorporate plant based whey protein into their smoothies and I appreciate it! I don't feel like I'm cheating on my diet when I have one of their smoothies. I can tell they use a good amount of protein in the smoothies so they definitely do not cheap out on that! I've seen reviews mentioning the owner and lack of service but each time I've went, the owner actually recognizes me from previous trips. This last time around, he even offered me a free drink without saying anything. Times are tough right now for our local business owners. Favorites for this place: -Turkey Pesto: still my favorite because it's so delicious! -Compassion Panini: Vegan chicken is great with walnuts. -Caribbean Jerk Chicken Panini: A lot of good things combined for a great flavor. -Roast Beef (cold): Good but I love the others listed here more. -Orange Chicken Wrap: This varies a lot every time I have it in terms of how much sauce is put in or how many wonton strips, etc. I still like it though. It always tends to drip a bit since they put tangerines and sauce in there. -Chicken Cobb Salad: I tried this for the first time today and was so happy about it. I love the veggies and the huge fresh chunks of avocado and crispy bacon with plenty of chicken. I love their red wine vinaigrette so had that instead of the mustard. I still love this place and my company does as well. They are usually good about delivering the correct items and dressing. I think I like pretty much everything about the place. Their menu is not overwhelming but yet satisfying, their food is fresh and delicious, their staff is friendly and efficient. A great lunch place, it offers all the healthy necessities: salads, wraps, sandwiches and paninis. You can get a combo of any of the four, and I believe there's also soup. The pleasant thing about their four salads is that they are a good size - if you are not a 15 year old teenager who can eat a cow in one setting and still ask for dessert, you should be full. I don't think I ever had left overs of anything there and I haven't had anything I didn't like. Tuna salad and their turkey sandwiches are probably my favorite. I did not object cuz i was up against my wife and daughter so I went with the flow lol, another reason she chose the restaurant is that we had our two fur babies and they had outside dining. Now for our choice of lunch, I chose Greek salad with Tri Tip! Wife and daughter chose Turkey Panini and ChickenPanini with Tomato basil. We were looking for a quick and healthy place to eat on our way hole from Pasadena. This place is very accessible off the 210 freeway. We were greeted and asked if this was our first time there to which we answered yes. It was great to be greeted and then briefed on the menu since it was our first time. They explained the menu and also their fresh beverages. The food was delicious. I got the turkey pesto sandwich (their most popular item) and it was great! Generous portion and toasted on the panini maker. Each sandwich comes with a side and I chose the Caesar salad. The side salad was also a good portion and even had tomatoes. They have a drink bar of various teas and a couple of lemonades. I tried the blueberry lemonade as well as the mint strawberry and both were delicious. Not too sweet. The reason why I give it 4/5 stars was the wait time. If I was in a rush I would have have been strapped for time.
