I just had a Matrix Insert installed into my fireplace by Hearthside Fireplace & Patio a little more than one month ago. This would not have occurred were it not for my initial interaction with Paul Lamy who praised the professional and exceptional attributes of the owner whose name is Ryan. Paul accentuated the fact that Ryan's primary emphasis is on outstanding customer service that also includes Ryan's two year UNCONDITIONAL guarantee of his fireplace and patio products. Although I have only had my Matrix for a little more than one month, Paul's assertion that Ryan "stands behind" his products and customers (without exception) in the execution of his unconditional guarantee, was put to an early "test." There was a City building inspector question that surfaced that required an immediate response by the owner. Ryan passed this "test" with flying colors by promptly contacting the Matrix manufacturer who expeditiously responded with the clarification that was requested for immediate building inspector approval. I cannot sufficiently emphasize the unequivocal professionalism displayed by Paul and Ryan (owner) with the required manufacturer clarification that was of the Building Inspector. Such immediate action taken on behalf of the customer, absolutely ensures that the remaining time of the two year full warranty will be honored with the same undeniable professionalism. It should also be noted that Ryan's team that includes professionals like Paul, John Rob and Richard is further testament to Hearthside Fireside and Patio's commitment to excellence. John and Rob were responsible for the flawless installation of the Matrix wood insert. In addition, they took the time to answer any questions that I had, in a professional and polite manner, despite their very busy installation schedule. Richard installed the Heat Shield to add further protection to wood paneling above the Insert and metal surround. He also offered cost effective solutions to recirculate heat to other areas of the house. Finally, and most importantly, as a safety measure, Richard advised the use of a cement board base to cover the wood paneling before installing a brick veneer. His concern for safety is the true litmus test of the professionalism that is so characteristic of the entire Hearthside Organization. In the final analysis, Hearthside Fireplace and Patio is not your "average" or "typical" business. They are experts who are well above the norm as a team of consummate professionals. All of us who are valued customers, are very fortunate to have chosen Hearthside for our fireplace and patio needs. I recently went to Hearthside Fireplace and Patio at 790 Bald Hill Road, Warwick, RI 02886. I went prior to the Christmas rush looking for two things to surprise my wife. A gas fireplace and a new Gas grill. I am not one that loves to shop & although I am a Real Estate broker I usually run the other way from salesman. When I went to Hearthside I was immediately in front of 6 hungry salesman. But to my surprise they let me walk around a very impressive showroom and when they saw I had interest a salesman came over and asked if I had any questions. I fired off numerous questions and the responses were all informative! It was evident they knew their product and were polite and gave me color brochures and no pressure! The fireplace we ordered; prior to installation, The wner Ryan Shanahan came out to speak to our contractor to make sure all permits were in place. . Our home needed an additional source of heat because the electric heat was inefficient and costly. No matter how high we set the the thermostat, we just couldn't get warm. We decided to visit Hearthside and Patio in Warwick and by the end of our first visit, we were sold. We purchased the Harman Accentra and had it installed on the 23rd of December. Since the installation, our electric heat hasn't kicked on once and the house is cozy warm. The stove we bought is a wonderful addition to our home in the woods, creating atmosphere and ambiance without the eyesore. I met with Peter, the sales manager. He was friendly and funny but, most importantly, he was knowledgeable about his products and guided us to the right fit. The techs who installed our unit were fast and efficient and, for the most part, cleaned up their mess. They were also a few hours behind schedule and arrived late. but once the product was in, it made no difference - our expectations were exceeded! We also bought our fuel from Hearthside, a softwood pellet that we are content with. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our purchase and would recommend hearthside and patio to others looking for an alternative heat source that is green and clean. read more

My MHP gas grill just died after 15 years of solid service. I started searching online for grills and was disappointed that there weren't many places locally other than Home Depot/Lowes. I found Hearthside Fireplace & Patio online and gave them a call. I spoke with Pete and he told me to look at the Napoleon line of grills. Not cheap ($ 1,049) but not crazy money either. For another $ 75 they would deliver an asembled grill to my house in SE Mass. No brainer. He asked a few questions and answered mine. We did the deal over the phone. Easy to deal with, no bs. I came home last night and I am blown away at the quality of the grill. Its a sweet grill. I fired it up and within a few seconds I could tell that this grill was way better than my old MHP. It is a flamethrower, heats up quick, but seems to have a great tempature range. I can't wait to use the infared burner to sear my steaks. The old saying is true, you really do get what you pay for. I needed to get some type of heat in my family room. The house is a raised ranch with the family room basically located in the basement. I was kind of leaning towards a gas insert but I knew I needed to keep my options open because the access to the fireplace was below grade. Paul Lamy was the sales person that first approached me to see if I had any questions and he could not have been more accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. I had questions on the gas insert, the pellet insert and a wood stove. Paul took the time to listen to my house layout and worked with me to get what I wanted not just settle for the easiest option. I did need to get a plumber and electrician and Paul laid it all out for me to show them what needed to be done to prep the fireplace for the insert. The site visit went well and the installation was scheduled. The installers were on time, very professional and left the room spotless. In a world where the idea of customer service has been drastically tarnished, I have found a gem! Back in August of 2021, I met Peter Curran the manager of Hearthside-Hearth and Grill in Warwick. He gave me 100% of his time, focus, patience, and knowledge while sitting with me on several occasions helping me decide if I was ready to get rid of my wood-burning fireplace insert and install a clean and convenient gas log set. It was installed on September 13th. This past week the batteries in the log set needed replacing. Although I knew it wasn't a complicated process, I was having difficulty getting the battery pack out from behind the logs, so I called Peter for some guidance. I got way more than that as he offered to swing by on his way home to replace them for me! He allowed me to video the process, so I'd have my own reference when they need replacing next season. My wife and I had been thinking about a gas fireplace insert for many years. When we finally decided to, we stopped at their Holliston, MA store for information. We had a great experience from the first time I walked into the store. Jim came to house for a pre-install to measure and go over options, from there we placed the order. Josh let me know when the fireplace arrived and we scheduled the first part of the install which was the chimney cap, vent hoses and placing the fireplace. Once we had the propane lines completed and inspected, Scott came to do the finish work and go over the insert operation. Looks and works great! We love it and it was worth the price. Good morning. NO project (none!) is without a few challenges, and Hearthside handled them well! My little house wanted a wood stove. The space is small and my questions were many. Purchased a new spa in December from Sean and his team in Westport. The spa was a left over floor model from the year and the price was right. The spa was delivered and upon set up there were some factory issues with the wiring of the circuit board. This required many follow up steps to get correct between installing a new board, updating the software and making sure everything was running perfectly. They were very neat and courteous ... willing to do whatever was necessary to do the job right. They covered the carpet so no soot was spread from the removal of the old stove.
