It's open! I've been slowly driving by this place for the last few weeks and following on next door for opening updates. When I saw the open sign I slammed on the breaks and headed in. Now they are starting out with limited hours and limited menu so I will update my review once all is rolled out as I fully plan to visit often. What a great way to start a business, ease in to it. Today we were able to snag some delicious baked goods. My 5 year old would tout himself as a cookie conniseour and awarded 2 thumbs up to the chocolate chip cookies. I was able to get some tomato soup from the deli section for dinner tonight. As they were closing soon a free loaf of sourdough was added. This bread is so good! I really wanted to add in some pasta salads but will save that for next time. I can't wait to come back and have a drink at the super cute bar or grab breakfast and hang at one of the many amazing tables. The decor is stunning. With a parking lot and street parking Heather's is super accessible. Really excited for this new neighborhood gem! read more

Unfortunately for Heather's they opened right at the beginning of the pandemic. Fortunately, they have pivoted into a great takeout model and also have a good sized patio for dining al fresco while the weather allows for it. Heather's is open from breakfast/brunch through dinner. Having tried a number of items from their various menus I'm happy to report that they consistently deliver a delicious meal regardless of the time of day. Their breakfast sandwiches can feed a small army/cure any hangover, a recent special of corned beef has was fantastic and their rotating sandwiches/burgers have been very good (including the staple Hale burger and a decent Cubano). Service has always been friendly while dining on the patio, they have rotating daily specials and prices are reasonable. Heather's is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood and has already become a regular in my rotation. read more

Maybe I'm biased, but Heather's is awesome!! I love that they have a walk-up window for coffee/pastries, online ordering, and a wonderful patio space! The staff is super friendly and have great recommendations! At the walk-up window I got a lavender latte, oatmeal chocolate cookie and a ginger blackberry scone - all were yummy! The other visit I got the chocolate butterscotch cookie and turkey burger with thai peanut sauce - the cookie was my favorite pastry/sweet I had from them and the turkey burger was phenomenal (great flavor on the burger, sauce, and slaw)! It's that neighborhood joint everyone wants with great burgers, sandwiches, and salads, a great kids menu and twisty soft serve or cookies to keep the wee beings happy. But also that cozy date night spot with amazing daily specials and lovely grown up desserts on the patio. In practice, we usually order delivery (via Toast) and there's always a little tension between a dinner order (because THOSE SPECIALS!) or weekend brunch. We were able to do both today because they offered their daily special as part of their holiday brunch menu: lemon blueberry pancakes AND the ham special with asparagus and cheesy potatoes were both just amazing. Ordered pastries for week day breakfasts while I was at it but the delivery person missed the second bag or something. They made it right immediately - barely hung up the phone before the doorbell rang and a smiling, kind Heather's staffer was on my porch with a bag full of goodies. We had a great dinner at Heather's! The menu is varied and both of our entrees were excellent. The food is top quality and very well prepared. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us the right amount of attention. She also asked if there were any dietary issues when taking our order, which is a huge plus and very few restaurants that have servers that ask. The atmosphere is really nice, casual, trendy, and tasteful. We have been to previous restaurants in this location so know parking can be an issue. Heather's is the first to offer valet parking, which alleviates the issues. We recommend this restaurant and will return! read more

I wish I had a photo- this place is fantastic! We went on a Sunday night (it's small; I'd recommend a reservation). Service was attentive, food was fresh, menu was appealing, and the ambiance was clean and modern. The whole time there we kept saying "we have to bring......here" because honestly we know a lot of people that we'd like to share this gem with. While in town for business we did a surprise stop in for a long lunch with a big group and the entire team here was so accommodating. All of our food was delicious and the portions were really large; I enjoyed the egg salad sandwich which was great and others in the group were raving about the Salmon bowl. The food is REALLY GOOD here and the service is even BETTER! We came in a Monday night and had a lovely woman who was our server! She was attentive, answered our questions, made sure we had everything we needed. Usually when I go to places if I don't ask the person their name it will be in the receipt so I can give them props on Yelp. Unfortunately she is known as Server L. So many thanks to her! She made sure I knew what did and didn't have dairy in it. Now back to the food. I had the pulled pork special with bacon potato salad because I can't pass up anything with bacon in it. It was very creamy and delicious! It had big chunks of potato and big chunks of bacon which I really liked. My pulled pork sandwich was very good with coleslaw and crispy fried onions. I also got an egg salad sandwich to go. I was going to get just egg salad but it was $12 for a rather small container and so I decided to just get the sandwich instead. The egg salad is very good and has lots of dill in it and the bread it is served on is crunchy because of the seeds in it. I think the bread is too thick for the amount of egg salad they put on it and it would be better with either more egg salad or thinner bread. Looking forward to going back in the future! read more

So, Heather's has a nice menu and the food is usually well above-average. Why then, do they place a beautiful sweet potato and roasted brussels sprout hash, served with a nice cream sauce and topped with two eggs on a brunch menu and then douse it with HOT chili sauce? I was so looking forward to my lunch here. But it was inedible to me, and even my step-son, who loves Cry Baby Craig's, said it was much too hot for a breakfast/brunch entree. What the heck is it with this generation of cooks? Why does almost every nice menu item I see in this town have to be "improved" by chili flake, chili sauce, jalapeños (I had an Italian fish stew served to me with jalapeños in it), or who knows what other form of hot spice? Can't this at least be served on the side, so that those of us who can't eat hot foods can enjoy what's on a menu without having to resort to the same old boring burger? This is NOT cooking. To me, this is the equivalent of a chef finishing a dish with ketchup, because he/she likes ketchup. No one would applaud that, but for some reason today's chefs are applauded for not just adding a hint of hot spice to enhance a dish, but completely overwhelming the other flavors and making the dish painful to eat. Overall my experience was good, but there's one thing a restaurant can fail at that will guarantee I will not be back - not giving me value for my money. I ordered the banana bread french toast because it came highly recommended by our server. When it came out, all I could do is look at my plate in shock. I received a very small (4 x 4 inches?), thin slice of bread with some sliced bananas, caramel and nuts on it. And while it was decent tasting (I could probably make the same or better at home), most restaurants would at least give you two slices for this type of meal. But only one for $10.00? Bananas, flour, sugar and a sprinkling of nuts is a very low-cost meal to create - there wasn't any protein at all on this plate to justify the price! I wish I would have taken a picture for this review to show just how paltry it was. Sorry Heather, you have to do better to get me to come back. read more

We grabbed Heather's for takeout, since I had tried one of their salads for lunch with a friend and was excited to try more of the menu. The truffle fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and came with some sort of aioli (I can't remember which type) that was awesome. Really, everything was awesome. The Reuben and burger were pretty standard, with the exception of the bacon on the burger (really good!). I also really liked the dessert special, and hope they feature it again soon. Our next plan is to try dining in soon! Definitely super easy to order online and pickup for takeout, though. read more
