Met fellow yelper Philip N. here for lunch. Neither of us knew they took reservations for lunch, so we were walk-ins a d sat in the heated tent outside. I think I actually preferred that! They had it so toasty and provided blankets as well. There were so many good looking choices for food, but I ended up getting the buddha bowl. It was just perfect. Lots of veggies, tofu, and pesto sauce was so flavorful. I also got a Dram sparkling water and I have to find where I can get that in a store. Would easily be my new favorite sparkling water. Service was also quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend a stop here!

Great local neighborhood restaurant for breakfast or lunch! Menu options include something for everyone. We dined after 1 and breakfast was still available. Our choices were burgers and tots, beet salad, a roasted beet bowl and a baked desert to go. All of the food was well prepared, attractive and very tasty. Generous portion sizes left everyone with extra to take home. Service was helpful, fast and friendly. Seating and decor were fun and helped maintain the neighborhood feel. There is a large, comfy, heated tent out the back door that more than doubles seating capacity. It was being decorated in a ski chalet theme the day we were there, it would be fun to go back to see the result. Parking and access were easy. Definitely a place to give a try for good food and fun.

I've wanted to try this place for a while now. Multiple friends rave about the food here. Today I went with my friend to catch up. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and a raspberry lemonade. The lemonade was so fresh and tasty. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also very tasty and flavorful. Our server was attentive and helpful. We sat outside in the heated tent. It was so comfy, cozy and cute. Can't wait to try more from their menu in the future!

Went here for a brunch with a large group on the patio and they did a great job accommodating us! It was very loud so just a heads up if you are looking for a quieter place. The food was amazing! I had the shakshuka and it didn't disappoint! Everyone seemed very happy with their dish! I will say the splitting of the bill at the end seemed stressful and we did let the waitress know who's splitting what in the beginning. Would have been nice if they told us up from plaiting is hard with a larger group or told us how we can help make it easier on them. Not a bad thing just felt very disorganized and took over a half hour for bills to come out due to confusion.

First time here. We were in the area for a bike ride along the Minnehaha Parkway and met some friends for lunch. Didn't really get to see much of the inside since we got a table behind the restaurant under the tent. It was a nice day to be outside. A little windy and chilly, but not an issue if you had a jacket. The place was busy, and at times people were waiting to get seated. We had a 12:45 reservation and got seated right away. We were given waters and menus, and we were so busy talking that the server had to come back several times before we made our decisions (thanks for the patience!). Our group ended up ordering the Poke Bowl, Avocado Toast with Fried Eggs, Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, and Blackened Salmon with Dilly Ranch. It didn't take long for the food to come out (though we wouldn't have noticed since we were still talking). Everything was the right temperature, nicely presented, and good portions. Everyone was really happy with their choices -- except for mine. The salad part was good, but the Blackened Salmon was overcooked and dried out. It had good flavor, just cooked too long. Overall, a decent experience. I'd be interested in dining inside the building next time. The service the entire time was very attentive. But I'd definitely stay away from the Blackened Salmon.

My friends and I wanted to kill some time and get a late lunch before our flight and I found this charming spot. Plenty of outdoor seating, which was tented. It all felt very cozy and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and provided my little 10lb dog a big bowl of water. We weren't super hungry so we shared the local goat cheese with figs, prosciutto, pistachio, honey & garlic crostini and the summer vegetable sautee with garlic butter and parm. Even though both appetizers were a little on the pricey side, it was really delicious and gourmet! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection and the goat cheese combined with micro greens and sweetness from the fig and honey was a party in my mouth. We also got extra slices of crostini which was much appreciated. I also got a cappuccino and a Budapest muffin with sour cream frosting. Coffee and a sweet treat always hits the spot! So glad we stumbled upon this place and perfect that it's just a 10 minute drive from the airport. Would love to come back again next time I'm in town to try their teriyaki salmon bowl!

Love the atmosphere. The service was outstanding, the severs are soooo nice. And foods - I think the portion is perfect, taste was great. My salmon BLT feel little dry, a bit more sauce would be better. Fries are the best of all. It's so crispy and tasty. Love it.

Came here on Pride to grab a post / pre celebration brunch and oh my gosh.. it did NOT DISAPPOINT! We had a reservation for 5 and upon arrival, it was all set and ready to go, a perfect table right up at the front and by the window. Our waitress was absolutely incredible, rolled with all of our crazy orders (we ordered TONS of drinks) and she came promptly with all of them and was so sweet and kind to us! I got the bloody mary with sake and oh my gosh.. I drank like 3 of them. So good, so light, fresh, and delicious! I ordered the salmon bowl (made my salmon blackened) and oh my goodness.. all of the ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, light, and above all, quality! We ended up thanking the manager and she was so kind and courteous to us (we were a rowdy yet fun) table! When I get brunch, this is what I want my experience to be every single time! Amazing ambiance, food, drinks, and company! Will be back here!

Yes, the reviews are correct. Heather's is straight out awesome. Stopped by to get some take out. The building (and outside tent) are perfect. Airy, open, just a very clean appearance, and I don't mean it was swept well (although it was). Looking forward to going there and eating in with my beloved. We ordered the BLT and the Cubano. Heaven. Super luxe bacon, monster tomato slice, just perfect. And the Cubano, while not exactly a Miami (or Tampa) Cuban, far better than any other cuban I have had up North. Staff were very pleasant, even though it was a jumping evening. I stopped for a glass of wine at the bar (10 seats?) and was happy with their wine selection. Not huge, but with some nice selections that are not super common. Overall, one of the best experiences I have had.

Visited 10/23/25. Back at Heather's and it's always somewhere I recommend to others. I got the daily special and I highly appreciate that Heathers always rotates their menu and their specials. It gives everything a fresher feel and makes Heather's stand out from other places. Service is always solid-never been to Heather's and had it not be solid. They do a great job at listening to customers and adjusting accordingly. I got the curry special which was very good with shrimp, but if I were to order again I would lean towards my go to of the salmon BLT. My friends got the teriyaki salmon bowl and one isn't a fish fan so our waited kindly substituted chicken for her instead. Overall, a great experience as per usual.

Really cute Minneapolis gem! Super fun for brunch and really fun light atmosphere, and the people that work here are really nice and believe in what they're doing. There is a tremendous amount of parking on the street easy access. Also pedestrians can literally "walk up" and get immediate service through the special sliding window! Highly recommend! I love the food and I can't wait to go back again. Next time I'm gonna be sure to order french fries !

Heather's was delicious! I came here over the weekend when I was visiting friends in Minnesota. The avocado toast was great, the bread was really tasty and the egg and avo was very fresh. I also ordered a mimosa which was super bubbly and yummy! The waitress was really sweet and the overall vibes of the place were welcoming and beautiful! I loved all of the decor, especially the plants at the front. This is a sit down restaurant, but they have an area in the front with various to-go and pre-packages items. I left with a bottle of their garlic hot sauce!

Unfortunately for Heather's they opened right at the beginning of the pandemic. Fortunately, they have pivoted into a great takeout model and also have a good sized patio for dining al fresco while the weather allows for it. Heather's is open from breakfast/brunch through dinner. Having tried a number of items from their various menus I'm happy to report that they consistently deliver a delicious meal regardless of the time of day. Their breakfast sandwiches can feed a small army/cure any hangover, a recent special of corned beef has was fantastic and their rotating sandwiches/burgers have been very good (including the staple Hale burger and a decent Cubano). Service has always been friendly while dining on the patio, they have rotating daily specials and prices are reasonable. Heather's is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood and has already become a regular in my rotation. read more

Heather's in Minneapolis is a favorite. It's that neighborhood joint everyone wants with great burgers, sandwiches, and salads, a great kids menu and twisty soft serve or cookies to keep the wee beings happy. But also that cozy date night spot with amazing daily specials and lovely grown up desserts on the patio. In practice, we usually order delivery (via Toast) and there's always a little tension between a dinner order (because THOSE SPECIALS!) or weekend brunch. We were able to do both today because they offered their daily special as part of their holiday brunch menu: lemon blueberry pancakes AND the ham special with asparagus and cheesy potatoes were both just amazing. Ordered pastries for week day breakfasts while I was at it but the delivery person missed the second bag or something. They made it right immediately - barely hung up the phone before the doorbell rang and a smiling, kind Heather's staffer was on my porch with a bag full of goodies. They just do EVERYTHING right. read more

The food is absolutely incredible!! Everything is fresh and the flavor pairings are done amazing. They also do a wonderful job with their gluten free options. The gluten free buns are probably the best I've ever come across. Give their GF peanut butter and the chocolate chocolate chip cookies a try, they will not disappoint!! So, Heather's has a nice menu and the food is usually well above-average. Why then, do they place a beautiful sweet potato and roasted brussels sprout hash, served with a nice cream sauce and topped with two eggs on a brunch menu and then douse it with HOT chili sauce? I was so looking forward to my lunch here. But it was inedible to me, and even my step-son, who loves Cry Baby Craig's, said it was much too hot for a breakfast/brunch entree. What the heck is it with this generation of cooks? Why does almost every nice menu item I see in this town have to be "improved" by chili flake, chili sauce, jalapeños (I had an Italian fish stew served to me with jalapeños in it), or who knows what other form of hot spice? Can't this at least be served on the side, so that those of us who can't eat hot foods can enjoy what's on a menu without having to resort to the same old boring burger? This is NOT cooking. To me, this is the equivalent of a chef finishing a dish with ketchup, because he/she likes ketchup. No one would applaud that, but for some reason today's chefs are applauded for not just adding a hint of hot spice to enhance a dish, but completely overwhelming the other flavors and making the dish painful to eat. NOT what I care to pay today's high restaurant prices for. read more

While in town for business we did a surprise stop in for a long lunch with a big group and the entire team here was so accommodating. All of our food was delicious and the portions were really large; I enjoyed the egg salad sandwich which was great and others in the group were raving about the Salmon bowl. The sangria spritz was also perfect on a hot summer day! So glad a local colleague recommended this spot to us - hope to return next time I'm in town. read more

Stopped here for breakfast after a walk around Nokomis and it was lovely. They had outdoor dine in seating or to go available. Had a delicious veggie and egg scramble and a blueberry muffin on their delightful patio. Great service! Would highly recommend! read more

I wish I had a photo- this place is fantastic! We went on a Sunday night (it's small; I'd recommend a reservation). Service was attentive, food was fresh, menu was appealing, and the ambiance was clean and modern. The whole time there we kept saying "we have to bring......here" because honestly we know a lot of people that we'd like to share this gem with. We are excited to come back in the summer and dine in the patio. We got a bottle of Chardonnay, half the appetizer menu, a wild rice burger and the spicy chicken sandwich. Overall my experience was good, but there's one thing a restaurant can fail at that will guarantee I will not be back - not giving me value for my money. I ordered the banana bread french toast because it came highly recommended by our server. When it came out, all I could do is look at my plate in shock. I received a very small (4 x 4 inches?), thin slice of bread with some sliced bananas, caramel and nuts on it. And while it was decent tasting (I could probably make the same or better at home), most restaurants would at least give you two slices for this type of meal. But only one for $10.00? Bananas, flour, sugar and a sprinkling of nuts is a very low-cost meal to create - there wasn't any protein at all on this plate to justify the price! I wish I would have taken a picture for this review to show just how paltry it was. Sorry Heather, you have to do better to get me to come back. read more

Had an amazing take out order on a recommendation from a good foodie friend in the neighborhood. Last minute stop before heading south to Red Wing. Super friendly, easy to find and plenty of parking. Ran in, starving, asked for suggestion. 3 people said Salmon Bowl. Man was it good! Presentation, freshness, best ingredients-superb! We grabbed Heather's for takeout, since I had tried one of their salads for lunch with a friend and was excited to try more of the menu. The truffle fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and came with some sort of aioli (I can't remember which type) that was awesome. Really, everything was awesome. The Reuben and burger were pretty standard, with the exception of the bacon on the burger (really good!). I also really liked the dessert special, and hope they feature it again soon. Our next plan is to try dining in soon! Definitely super easy to order online and pickup for takeout, though. read more

I've been here many times for lunch and never have I ever been upset when I stop in and see that's it's packed. This small business deserves all the clout and business. The food has always been amazing no matter what I order. What I think makes this place one of the best place to enjoy amazing food is the staff. Too service you literally will not find anywhere else. Most of them know me by name and if they don't have time to say hi they make time to shoot me a friendly smile. Best of both worlds! Wether you're looking for something organic and healthy or just plain out need something greasy they have it and they serve it hot and quick. And when I say quick it's an understatement. I flew in yesterday morning from Atlanta for a meeting and found Heather's on Yelp.I thought I would give it a try because of such great ratings. It did not disappoint! The waitress I had was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. I had the white chocolate, peppermint mocha, and, it was so rich and full of flavor. For breakfast I had the autumn hash and I added ham to my order- it was phenomenal. I am already looking forward to my next business trip to Minneapolis, so I can come back to Heather's and have a meal! read more

Great food and service. They have a lot of variety on their menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that accommodates different dietary needs (ex: vegetarian, pescatarian, GF). We always make a reservation online ahead of time (sometimes the day of) because when we have tried to walk up they are always busy--rightfully so! If you love supporting local neighborhood restaurants with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff this is it! read more

We tried Heather's (curbside pickup) for the first time last night and loved it! There Sunday special is a chicken pita sandwich that was very tender juicy and excellent flavor! The field burgers were also good, but could have been better as we requested "well done" and they were pink in the middle. We also were not a fan of their fries ..but we do not prefer skinny fries. The potato salad and side salad were yummy! read more

Fun atmosphere, great service, and excellent food; this neighborhood spot is the total package. I recommend the Field Burger; it might sound vegetarian, but it is beef and bacon - gluten-free bun available. The name Field is a reference to a nearby neighborhood. read more

You know what kills a restaurant for you? Dirty plates. We were brought plates for an appetizer and one had ketchup on it and three others had visible grease stains and crusted on food. Hygiene practices seem lacking. read more

New neighborhood gem. I was driving down Chicago Ave and saw it was open! They are currently featuring limited items on their menu...building into their full menu by next week. This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Everything on the menu is amazing, the staff is so professional, and the ambience is perfection. We waited months for Heather's to open in our neighborhood, and it's such a great addition! So far, we've tried the open-faced breakfast sandwich, and the biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was AMAZING with the maple butter! Bacon was crispy, thick and delish. Also, I would advise an order of the breakfast sweet potatoes! read more

The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! My one criticism is the drink pricing which seemed a bit excessive for the cocktails, but the food pricing seemed more than fair so it's just a small nitpick. Overall five stars, catch me sitting at the bar all summer long with an order of Dauphines, spaghetti, and the cookies and creme dessert for a well balanced meal.

I brunched at Heather's in south Minneapolis recently on a Sunday, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The interior is absolutely adorable, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The location is also lovely and adds to the overall experience. I ordered the field burger, and it was fantastic! The flavors were on point, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. I also indulged in a side of tots, which were the perfect complement to the meal. What's more, I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially for a Sunday brunch outing. The staff was very strange about the tables and seating. When I tried to sit at a table that was in the sun before they had cleared it, I was basically yelled at by one of the staff to move away from the table so they could clean it. I asked if I can I have it once it's cleaned and she would not reply and about a minute later once it was clean, they tried to sit another party there. Turned out my friend had a reservation anyway.
