I've never been to this pizzeria before, and I was quite surprised that their vegetarian pizza only had maybe four toppings. Despite that, we added some more of our own so we could feel healthier about eating pizza for dinner with beer. Lol The pizza itself was a large and it actually weighed a significant amount! They were toppings galore and nothing was spared! Lol eat by I could taste all of the vegetables and then with my added organic Sriracha it was magnificent! Great first impression even though they only had a very plain sounding vegetarian pizza. Also the wait time was 70 minutes on a Saturday night ordering at 6:30 PM. The servers and service is great! Friendly and professional. But the pizza itself is third-rate. The thin crust texture (and taste) is like you'd get from a Betty Crocker pie crust recipe. If you order onions and green peppers, you are told "no green peppers" - and the onions?? Are nowhere to be found- substituted instead by lots of chives you would get in your grocery store spice bottle. Not much red sauce on top, so eat it quickly before it dries up. The basil leaves they put on top for garnish don't look very fresh. Pass on this place- as the continuing search for a great pizza place goes on. read more

Thankful Thursday! Shout out to Hector's Pizza locally owned and run by rockstars! I've only ordered pickup, but it's so good every time and the service is always on point. Looking forward to racking up those receipts to get that free pizza! The Caesar salad is also great.. something in the dressing just makes it extra yummy. One of the best pizza ever tasted. Veggies on one half, other half top with sausages, tomatoes and mozzarella. Crust is sour doughy like Red Boys with a more robust sauce without the tang. The star for me is definitely the toppings laying it on fresh and heavy, resulting in a floppy when holding it by the slice whether you like it or not. Ate a few slices in the car late at night and took the rest home. Friendly service. Not much of a wait. Paid full price on the high side but it's definitely worth it for a great tasting pie. What a pleasant surprise. We were in the Petaluma area and really looking for a good pizza. Yelp sent us in the right direction. This place is small and unassuming. We ordered the meat pizza and the greek salad to go. The freshly made pizza was full of topping and the crust was thin and crisp. Really enjoyed it. The salad was a nice size and was shared by two. It has cheese, grapes, artichoke, cucumber tomatoes and more!! The lettuce was super fresh. The servers at the counter we just there. He took our order and gave us a receipt. This place is supper busy and popular but it did not Meat the expectations. The pizza is good, not fantastic. They have a whole rack of fresh dough there so would have thought it would have turned out better. The real let down is the meats, not the best choice there. We Love, love, love Hector's Pizza! Their pizza is always so flavorful. They use the best quality ingredients & the sour dough crust is crispy NEVER soggy. We drive from Sonoma and back BECAUSE it's the best pizza within 25 miles of Sonoma. When we lived in Petaluma, the delivery drivers were so quick and super friendly. When we go to pick up now, the owner is very kind to spend a minute with us just to see how they're doing. Of we rave yum! It's pretty tiny but definitely welcoming. read more

Its been over 4 years since we discovered Hectors & its still our favorite pizza spot to date. The quality & consistency has remained the same which I believe is the key to a successful restaurant. They are famous for their sourdough crust & its just so different & fresh to taste. Our new favorite pizza is the BBQ chicken & I usually add crispy bacon and or red/green onions. You cant go wrong with their caesar salad for that crisp freshness on the side as well. I don't believe they are doing indoor dining yet so we pretty much always get take out. The take out time mostly runs 45mins-1hr but they do ask you if you are okay with it so keep that in mind. I mean they are busy but always get it ready on time as promised. After years of enjoying a sourdough crust and distinct red sauce, tonight's Combo pizza has me thinking they've definitely changed their ingredients and they're no more special than Mountain Mikes. On July 15th I met some of my old friends from work here for Pizza as it was the name of one of our friends who lives now in Mexico, just as a laugh. We actually ate inside as we were the only ones there, (folks came in for takeout), and the group agreed the pizza was good. Friendly service, decent value, good cleanliness even in the restroom. Everyone had a good time and one of the employees happily agreed to take a group photo of us outside. For me the Pizza was just "ok" as I always order a plain cheese pizza by which to "grade" a Pizza place and it seemed a wee bit undercooked to me to be honest and the dough could have been a bit thinner. Navigating their website to decide what we wanted was a breeze and we decided to try the #12 Combo. While I had a to wait a bit longer than promised to pick up our pizza, true pizza lovers don't mind. The best pizza to pick up is the pie that just came out of the oven. Do you like a chewy sourdough crust with plentiful toppings? Yep, this is the place to go. While I'm sure we will be ordering more pizza to go in the near future, I'm looking forward to the day we can dine in and experience one of these pies right out of the oven! Best pizza in town! Delivery can be a bit slow as they are normally extremely busy. I would recommend pickup as it normally takes them about 20 minutes to get your order ready, delivery usually takes 45 minutes or longer... plan ahead. Hector's Pizza is one to try in Petaluma! They make specialty crafted pizzas with lots of different complimenting flavors. One of my favorites is the Chicken alla king and the golden chicken pizza. I have been going to Hector's Pizza, since it was red boy pizza. This is always been one of my favorite pizza places in Petaluma. Petaluma is lucky and has a lot of really good pizza restaurants. But I have always gravitated towards Hector's sourdough pizza. I know everybody has their favorite place and I like a lot of other places too. I ordered the Combo Supreme 12" large pizza which cost $39.50. I didn't expect it to be so heavy. Others have said the same and it's true. It's a dense pie that was layered with a very generous portion of ingredients all of which were tasty. The tomato sauce was thick and delicious. The crust was perfect, crisp, delicate and evenly cooked underneath. Eat bite was meaty. At other pizzerias I have been to that pile on the ingredients, they tend to not be quality. Here quantity also has quality. As a big dude, I can usually eat half a large pizza, but this pie is so dense and rich I could not finish a third slice! Later, I tried to finish off what remained of the third slice and I just couldn't. My body was totally satisfied and full. So now I have 2/3rds of a pie left which will be turned into 3 meals. I will be foodsaving them in the freezer. For $40 that comes to $10/meal, a very satisfying meal. Seemed pricey at first, but for the amount of food, it seemed quite reasonable. I just can't wait to try the pepperoni pizza upon which I will add black olives and mushrooms, but that is going to be awhile before I finish the supreme pizza ... and maybe not. read more
