We put our name down and were literally next in line and the manager shooed everyone out of the now packed indoor lobby because it's a high traffic area. Very understandable because it's a small restaurant and food runners need to be able to access their tables. That said, it smells like sewer outside so be aware of that if there's a long line, it won't be a pleasant wait outside. What wasn't understandable was the manager seating another party before us. There was a 4 top and a booth open and they could've just sat us before the other party maybe? A couple of minutes more with the sewer smell outside and a slightly bad taste in my mouth about the quality of service here. I asked for an iced tea and they only had sweetened black raspberry or green, I opted for the latter. The tea just finished brewing so it melted all of the ice in the cup and was basically colored warm water with some floating flakes of transparent ice. I stuck with a water. The best part about this place is the quality of sushi and their rolls (contrary to other reviews, the mango was ripe, sweet, and soft). I enjoyed the flavor of almost all of the rolls we had. One with mango and avocado was delicious. Crunchy rice roll was great. Enjoyed the pink lady. The super crunch was good flavor wise, but nowhere near as crunchy as I would've liked it. Really enjoyed the monkey ball too. Hot night was too many things and flavors in one. Spicy garlic edamame was WAY too much garlic. Calamari was great, light coating and not oily. Liked the nude roll a lot as well, really cool and refreshing. Service overall is sadly not as good. We had to ask 3 times for ramekins. Unfortunately we were also missing a miso soup and cucumber salad from our first round. The servers were way too busy to come in and check with us after dropping our items off. Almost guaranteed that this place is understaffed. During the second round we re-ordered miso soup and cucumber salad and they didn't come out. We weren't offered any refills on water until the very end of our meal. At the end of the second round, we put the paper out for our third round (literally just miso soup) but every single staff member just walked by and ignored us. They had no issue bussing the table as we neatly stacked all of the plates and put them to the edge of the table to be picked up, but they failed to notice that we were waiting and ready for the last part of our meal. Fed up with waiting, we flagged someone down to close out. They asked if we wanted anything from our third round or dessert and we were over it at this point, so we just asked again to close out. Every interaction we had with the servers was pleasant and nice, but they were few and far between and overall way too busy to be bothered. I get it, it's Friday night and there's a dinner rush, but add another person into the rotation so service doesn't suffer. Tl;dr: Good food. Spotty and rushed service. read more

The problem with this place is not the sushi or the food.. that part was good. The problem was the service ... when we sat down party of 8 the server did not explain to us about the automatic gratuity charge, also when we asked for a drink menu the sever instead of saying no we don't have our liquor license yet. She just kinda beat around the bushes and said ... well we are not serving alcohol right now. Then when I questioned her about the table next to us which clearly has alcohol, she told me they brought their own. Which then I saw they clearly was bringing the alcohol from the back to serve them. I later found out it was the owners and their friends eating at that table. I am not a volume eater but got roped into all you can eat because if you get two items it's almost the same cost and then you get to try more, but they have a rule that you pay for what you don't eat. So what starts as a nice sushi dinner with friends quickly turns to a stomach stretching contest. Wish that buying individual roll was a little cheaper cause it basically feels like you get roped into the all you can eat. One of the best sushi places I've had! They serve a very good amount of fish if you order the nigiris. The rolls are worth talking about as well! Totally recommend the dark angel and heemo roll bc they were sososo good!!! The dark angel roll was crunchy and very unique and the heemo roll had just the right amount of spice and flavor. I would like to add on that the customer service was impeccable! All the servers were extremely patient and kind. The wait time was very short as well. I found this place before COVID-19, and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant is very nice and relaxed for dining in, and their takeout it usually ready within 10-20 minutes. All-you-can-eat for 27.99, I ate every "Nontraditional" and "Traditional" item on the menu. They even asked "Can you really eat this?" Yes, yes I could. I had single orders of all the sushi, shell fish, occtopi, raw urchin, seared sushi, American fusion, Korean Fusion, California Roll variant and topped it all off with some Sweet Shrimp and ate most of the head (they were BIG SHRIMP). The people that accompanied me had all the different forms of Teriyaki and Katsus (which I stole some of from each) and they prepared everything PERFECTLY. ~What about the look and feel? Very open, not claustrophobic like many places trying to nail down an "Urbanized Tokyo" feel but a more "Countryside or seaside Sushi house where the tourists don't roam". The TVs are a modern touch and the music is a more modern J-Pop with some American songs in Japanese being played. ~How are the staff and service? This was one of the best AYCE experiences. They sat my boyfriend and I right away. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and explained how the menu worked very well. They gave us a complimentary dish before we ordered, which was one of my favorite plates: seared salmon with melted cheese and onions. It was very tender, juicy and fresh. Our favorites were: The Green Dragon roll (so refreshing and light, perfect way to warm up your tummy for the AYCE experience), the Katella roll (perfect thin crunchy layer with thick crab) and fried oysters (came out steaming hot). Another plus is you can choose the amount of rice you want for the rolls. We chose small and they were the perfect size and brought out the true taste of the fish. I don't like rolls with pieces that won't fit in your mouth and are packed with rice. The bottomless hot green tea was very good too and we could tell it was made fresh in-house. Service was exceptional, as they always checked on us and gave us refills promptly. The sushi chefs were very generous, as they ended our meal by giving us a salmon collar on the house, which was not even on the menu. It's a no brainer that u cannot expect AYCE sushi to be of same quality as the more expensive a la cart places but for an AYCE place I think this place is worth trying. The rolls were really good but the sauce were on the sweeter side so if u don't like things too sweet ask them to lighten up or don't drizzle the eel sauce over ur rolls. Today was my first time trying this establishment that was recommended by several people. So I decided to go and have some dinner, they seated my right away since there was very little people inside, the waiter took our drink order came back with our drinks right away(which was the only positive part of the service)our order was taken , when our order came two things were missing, the waitress brought one of the items, I then told her we were still missing one item, we waited for the item which never came, also we were never given refills even when I asked for them.
