I had been looking for a good physio close to my home in North Park and I found Heidi through a friend who sees her regularly. I feel more comfortable with a woman performing massage but it's tricky to find someone with enough strength to work out the dense muscles of my shoulders and back yet, not leave bruising as I have experienced it before with other massage therapists and Heidi has been great with that balance. I also took her suggestion and allowed her to perform cupping on my back area a couple of times now. Although, I had concerns with it's effectiveness and the marks it could leave, I relented and allowed her to do it first with a technique in which she moves the cups around which is more gentle and did not leaves marks and then another time where it did and I felt that both were effective. I have not yet had her perform accupuncture on me as I had seen another therapist for that, I might try that service with her next as I have been travelling a lot lately and I am suffering from a bout of lower back pain. Would definitely recommend if your symptoms match mine. read more

I was really sad when my long time acupuncturist closed during the pandemic. I was truly spoiled with my acupuncturist so it's been hard to find a place with that level of treatment. A friend recommended Gem & Tonic and I am SO GRATEFUL. This place is seriously a gem. They treat your body mind and soul all at once. It's not generic acupuncture with the same points every time. They care! I love that the intake form is so in depth, and at our first appointment we talked and discussed my goals, ailments, and overall mental and emotional state. It was all very in depth and felt super intentional. That day I was experiencing wrist pain and inflammation. Dr. Keating took extra care of that area but still treated my entire body. In my first session, I completely fell asleep, lost track of time, so she let me sleep a little extra longer than normal on the table. Truly amazing! First I'd like to thank Mary for serving the Veterans at the Wednesday night Veteran's clinic. She provided my wife and I with acupuncture and massage that gave us both great pain relief. I have a nagging plantar fasciitis and my wife was rear ended in a bad car accident that left her with migraines, neck, and back pain. Neither of us had ever had acupuncture before, and to be honest we were both skeptical. My wife had immediate relief after her treatment. She became an instant believer. For me it wasn't until the next morning that I noticed a difference, but when I got out of bed the usual pain I experience upon standing and taking the first few steps was significantly diminished.
