Cool vibe. We were waited on by Austin, a real Deadhead! Nice selection of beer. A little something for everyone. We all really liked the Rocktoberfest. Also tried a mixed drink. The Old Fashion was well balanced. Got there too early in the afternoon for music, but we will definitely go back!

Dude crushed his burger

Moved to the area recently and wanted to check this place out. I like breweries and my son has Celiacs and this place offered us both something. Great little place with some cool interior design and a friendly and personable bartender. I had a couple pours of a few beers that were tasty. For food I had the pork tacos ( excellent) and my boy had the loose juicy on a gluten free bun. All you see is his fries cause he downed the burger real quick. We will definitely be back

Loved the imperial IPA. Wish they had six packs vice crowlers. The Staff/People were nice ... great vibes and beer.

Really enjoyed the Dark Star Stout, and the Terrapin Tripel is a nice change of pace from the hazy/hoppy IPAs you normally see in small breweries.

I was happy to snag a reservation for the Tasting Room at Waltz today as I planned a leisurely…read moreafternoon. I placed a reservation request in the morning, and they called me in the early afternoon to let me know there was availability, which was great. I appreciated the variety of 15 wines from which you could sample to create your tasting. My picks consisted of: -2020 Sauvignon Blanc -2020 Fusion (white) -2020 Cellar 1599 Riesling: Cellar 1599 is a Waltz label, for reference. -2018 Cellar 1599 Red Blend -2017 Baron Red I won't go into detail on my experiences with each wine, but I did have a glass (and then buy a bottle) of the Riesling. The tastings come in little tasting tubes that are basically test tubes. While some might find that unusual, I'm a science person, so I liked it! They also have a cheese board (choose one of four cheeses) with chocolate and crackers, which I added. The tasting room staff were friendly and accessible. It was a beautiful day and lots of families were out on the large lawn. Too bad there isn't a restaurant here, or it would be even more of a win. In any case, Waltz is a winner!

Easily one of my favorite PA wineries, and my preferred destination while in Lancaster County. To…read moreme, the wine here has more of a California feel to it - the reds are more dry, a bit more robust and rustic. The whites tend to be crisper, feature minerals and ease into the finish. You'll pay a little more than nearby wineries, but the difference in quality is immediately apparent. The estate tasting room itself is somewhat unassuming - nice, Tuscan-inspired, but understated. The room is smaller, with some spacing available near the barrels, but this isn't a "big tent" kind of place. If you'd like a seat inside, you may have to come off-peak or be patient. Guests tend to linger here, and it's often because of the at atmosphere. If not, the surrounding property is a nice place to enjoy your wines. There are chocolates, cheeses, crackers and very light, local creations available. I'd love for there to be even more food choices - these wines are designed to accompany a good meal. If you're okay going slightly off the beaten path, and paying just a little more for quality wines, this is the place to visit in Lanco.

While I was perusing the very long drink menu a guy set up and was playing music live! My cocktail was very good! As was my lobster roll which kind of surprised be being from New England myself! We would call it a Connecticut style roll more than New England. I don't usually order dessert but I had a hankering so I got the Texas brown sugar cake. I would say there was too much topping but it was tasty.

When you see the sign for the restaurant outside, you go into the alcove and open the big iron gate and go down the steps. It's really cool down there & it has a nice dark speakeasy vibe. There were groupings of couches and tables. We ended up actually sitting at the bar. They actually had comfortable barstools. I would probably recommend a reservation. We had made a reservation for 5 PM and then decided to sit at the bar instead of a table because they told us that all the couches were reserved... But we were there for well over an hour and there were plenty of couches still available when we left, so I'm not sure what the deal was there. The cocktails are pretty pricey going as high as about $19. I had seen online that they had a flight of sparkling wines and before I arrived I was considering that until I realized it was $40. But the cocktails are very well mixed. The food menu I'm sure would not appeal to everyone. It's kind of eclectic and they have some small plates and a few entrées, but it's pretty limited. I would recommend the charcuterie board because you can just pick and choose from the charcuterie menu as to how you want your board created. We were all pleased with the charcuterie board. We would most likely return there for cocktails, but I don't think we would do it as a dinner spot, we ended up going elsewhere to eat our dinner. But I definitely do recommend checking this place out!

The woodfired pizza was excellent. Now the bad news: the winery is apparently in legal trouble with the neighbors, and it's easy to see why. The main entrance was washed out, and our GPS erroneously directed us to go down a neighboring driveway. After backtracking we saw the tiny handwritten cardboard sign directing us to the actual alternate entrance. I'd suggest to the owners that they try to address the misrouting problem with Apple Maps (and perhaps others), and/or put up a bigger sign. My first choice of drink (their own branded orange seltzer) was so cloyingly sweet that I couldn't drink it and actually poured most of it out (my friend really liked the cranberry cider flavor, though). The wine I got to replace my drink was just OK. I'm not a wine snob by any means, but if this is the best PA can produce it's not surprising that the region isn't known for winemaking. I wish Moon Dancer well and hope they make it. I'd love to be invited to a wedding there!

We had called ahead because Google said it was closing at 4 PM, while another site said it was already closed. Fortunately, the person on the phone assured us it was open. When we arrived, the place was empty. We walked inside and were greeted by the guy at the counter, who might have been the owner. His demeanor was a bit off-putting for our group, including myself. When I mentioned we wanted to sample some meads, he had both menus together but then moved one menu aside, saying it wasn't included in the tasting. A clearer explanation would have been appreciated. He mentioned that the tasting included four meads, and when I asked if we should write down our choices, he said just to tell him what we wanted. We started with the Almond Spice, a sparkling mead infused with toasted almonds. At 6.5% ABV, it was sweet and delicious on the palate. Next, we tried the Apple Pie mead, which had a delightful cinnamon flavor and was incredibly good but also sweet. The Pear Melomel was surprisingly one of my favorites, and finally, the Peach Melomel, fermented with natural peach juice, was amazing but very sweet. All the meads were sweet but tasty. From the "forbidden" taster menu, we had a glass of the Hibiscus mead, known as sorrel or fleur de Jamaica. This honey mead, with its tart berry flavor and deep red color, was semi-sweet and packed a punch at 13.2% ABV. Sitting outside was more pleasant than inside, as the indoor area was small. The staff, particularly the man at the counter, could be more welcoming, which would definitely improve the overall experience. Despite this, it was a nice place to stop and enjoy some great meads. I highly recommend the Almond Spice mead--it might just be the best mead I've ever tasted.

They are doing a great job on perfecting the art of mead. So I recommend going before it's busy.

Very admirable and apparently they do this often to support other causes, as well. We were happy to dine at a restaurant that cares about the local community. Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2
