To replace camera he had to climb a ladder, unplug old camera, remove one, and mounting screw. To install replacement camera he had to put in one mounting screw, plug it in and adjust where it was aimed. I am not very impressed and will not use your company again. read more

This review should be directed at Hello Tech, but more importantly Amazon, as they now own RING DOORBELL. I purchased the RING DOORBELL, without a discount and installed this for my parents on Christmas Day. My parents are the perfect customer as on parent is often out and the other is not able to answer the door - so the one shopping or doing business can answer and address the doorbell and see with RING. We had nothing but problems with the doorbell, we had HELLO TECH come as they specialize in this product - after THREE doorbells, none of which worked, my parents were stuck with no doorbell, a compromised front door and still have no door bell. I am out of town and we relied on RING and HELLO TECH - neither of which could make this happen. We are very disappointed in this product and have heard that, on many homes, the RING is very identifiable and a burglar simply knocks if off the wall and then the homeowner is further compromised with no images, no door bell and in an unsafe position. I do not recommend this product for these reasons - there are also many different types of RING, from battery powered, which needs new batteries, and others that require an experience security installer to make the thing work right... Get an alarm with a camera package that cannot be seen! read more

I had an appointment scheduled with Hello Tech today for noon. At 12:18, I sent a text to the number that had sent me a text earlier saying that the tech was on his way. I was able to track the techs movement. The tracker stopped moving and read invalid. I texted and asked if there was a delay. I immediately go a call back from the tech saying that he had some equipment mix-up. They got his order wrong. He was on his way. An hour later, the tech had not arrived. I get a text from the same number from earlier saying that the tech would not be coming. They would have to cancel my appointment and I would have to reschedule. I went back and forth with them on text saying they should honor the appointment. At that point, they were an hour and a half off schedule. I understand that the jobs are not an exact science. I shared that with them. My even shared with them that my appointment had been made 2 days prior. They asked if I was going to be there until 8 p.m. I told them I would be. They continued to text me but canceled anyway. I think this was in poor taste and bad for business. I guess they got tired of me insisting them honor their appointment for today and they finally sent me a new appointment for 2 days later, which was unacceptable because of my schedule and other appointments I have schedule. I chose today because I could clear my entire schedule so this job could be done. Well...they did not make it to my house today. The fee was also paid upfront by credit card. I used this company to mount a tv for my 80 year old in laws. The guy they sent the job to asked if he could move our appointment time and it wasn't an issue for us so I said ok. Then I got a charge for $25 to my credit card. Twice!! I didn't request the time moving he did! I guess there's a fee for that?! I called them twice and they refunded me. Now a month later I get another charge for $4.99. Saying I signed up for a membership. I never did. I can look at my email receipt and there is no membership on there! I tried to log in and cancel it and it said "error unable to cancel". I called and was on hold for 20, min so thought I'd chat. The guy said I signed up for a membership and that he'd cancel it. I said I never did I have the email receipt! He ignored my request for a refund saying I signed up for it, it had been canceled, have a good day! And ended the chat so I couldn't communicate with him anymore. I'm calling my credit card company and reporting fraud and won't let them charge me ever again. Be careful this company is shady! Technician came out to install a TV mount and apparently did not tighten the screws properly. An hour later the tv tilted forward on its own. I was not able to straighten it as the screws were too loose to hold it. I called HelloTech and they sent the same technician out to fix it. He had an attitude about having to return, but did tighten the screws. Then they had the nerve to charge me an additional $50 for a service call. I have been trying for two days to contact them to reverse the service charge but I am told no supervisor is available. Do not use this company!!! read more

The appointment was confused and came a day late. The serviceman was nice and did his job, BUT I specifically spoke to three different representatives ahead of time about taking his old TV down to the dumpster. My Dad is 92, and should not have had to do that, especially when I made special arangements to have this done. I would have given 5 stars if that had been done, as requested. When asked, the tech said no to him. To a 92 year old Korean War vet. Apalling. If I had been there, I would have made sure this was done, but I live 3 hours away. The tech should be ashamed. At the very least, communications with the head office should be greatly improved. I feel like I should get a partial refund. read more

Hello Tech is the advertised authorized installer for Ring® video cam units. Rick at Hello Tech told me that no one at Hello Tech in Phoenix, Arizona is an electrician. Hello Tech cannot do things like hook up Ring® Pro video cam doorbells that require wiring to a Transformer that is connected to 110 volt, nor wire RING Spotlight cams because that requires hardwiring it to 110 volts too. read more

Honestly, what the hell. There were 4 strands of lights. They were up, but up backward. I explained exactly what needed to be done. The job should have taken no more than an hour at most. He was here for 3.5 hours. And I had to go out there to explain/help no less than 4 different times, interrupting work calls and meetings. If I was reviewing the tech David only Iwould give 5 stars but as an experience with the company its definitely a 1. First call I tried to schedule multiple services which they said they didn't do (wire concealment, remote programming, a d reconfiguring devices connected) Went on line found remote programming, scheduled it, got same day service. Tech came out, did that and added additional service to double check all the connections and correct what was wrong. Looked at TV mount and said concealment was possible but meeded tools etc. Said to.call and schedule it requesting him. Tried to do that and got the same run around can't do that, they need to mount the TV. My tv is already mounted - I explained it was already professionally mounted, all they had to do was take it down, do the wire concealment and remount the TV. They again stated they couldn't schedule that service. I need a wall bracket and mount. Completely ridiculous as TV is already mounted. Wouldn't contact the tech to discuss services. Complete miscommunication within the company as to services they do and dont offer. Not at all happy as now need another entire service call with a new company who could have likely done all of it from the beginning. read more

DO NOT USE THEM A guy came to my house to install a tv wall mount, sound bar and hide the wires for $267. After 3.5 hours he had installed the bracket on the wrong wall, removed it and left large holes on the wall. He then installed it on the correct wall incorrectly, it is a full motion bracket that you can only move an inch or so and cannot swivel it up or down. He mounted the soundbar incorrectly and bent the bracket and now is not level and looks like a 5 yer old installed it. I was charged for him to hide the wires, which he did not do. And as for COVID, no mask. It has now been five days since I contacted Hello Tech of the issue and they still will not respond, other than we will get back to you If you want your $2000 tv, sound bar installed so that it looks and operates like a 5 year old did it then these are the people for you. read more

Had to buy a year membership and had one visit that was useful but kept assigning the same tech to us who knew nothing about home networking - which made the service useless and then the last visit, he cancelled because he wanted me to come home from work earlier than our appointment but he cancelled AFTER the time of the appointment passed. First, I tried to cancel the service call, but the tech showed up anyway. He said that he had driven 1-1/2 hours to get here, and so rather than say it wasn't my problem and send him on his way, I chose to stop my activities (that had led to my cancellation request), and let him complete the service call. The technician, Babajide, was a complete gentleman, and I'm sure he did his level best to fix my issues. But, in spite of the fact that he worked on my computer issues for over 3 hours, they were not solved. I was having printer connectivity issues with both my machine and my wife's machine. Additionally, my wife's machine had running speed issues. Bottom line is that in spite of Babajide's efforts, these issues were not fixed. He left recommending that I get in touch with HP to get the latest printer connectivity software download, and that I take my wife's machine to Best Buy about the running speed issues. I'll now be charged $178 and I still have the same problems I had when Babajide arrived. I may as well have taken $178 and set fire to it. I share some blame. To begin with, I missed Babajide's attempts to call me before he set out on the service call. Further, I should not have allowed Babajide to complete the service call after he arrived, since I had cancelled, and just chosen to pay the $25 cancellation fee. Also, I should not have provided Babajide with my signature indicating that the service was completed. That was foolish. I do not intend to use HelloTech for any future computer service, and have no intention of recommending HelloTech to anyone. If you've read this far, thank you. read more

I will use them again! i contracted for a computer 'tune up'. It was done by remote control of my computer. I did not have to wait around for a technician to come to my home. The computer is definitely 'tuned up'. The performance in starting, uploading, down loading, web surfing and opening applications it now excellent. Only one drawback preventing five star review; You have to put in a 'bid' for time of service. The website recommends that you input three dates/times for the service. They then contact you by email when they have an available technician. I find that process rather annoying. But, what the hey, it is a great service. read more
