Zero stars! The only way you can cancel your membership is to talk to the Membership team on the phone. (That it is illegal under both California and federal law to force you to cancel by talking to someone on the phone does not bother this company.) I spent 45 minutes listening to an "all operators are busy" message until someone finally answered so that I could cancel the membership my 90-year old mother signed up for but hardly ever used. They say you can text, email etc on the website but that is not true. They will force you to call the phone line. I hope they actually cancelled it but may have to move on to her credit card company next. read more

This would've been a ZERO stars but a replacement service tech (Ali H) saved HelloTech from being ByeByeTech in my eyes. Original tech (Blake) was a complete no show/no contact on my original appointment (took time off work and got nothing - not even from HelloTech directly until I contacted them asking where my tech was). Gave HelloTech a chance to redeem themselves and went with the replacement tech for the next day .. glad I did. Ali H was not only very communicative prior to arrival to my home but incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the task at hand. Kudos to Ali H for saving the day!! read more

I had HelloTech come to my home to mount a tv. The tech arrived on time and the job was done quickly; however, he dropped my tv upon unboxing, and after we turned on the TV after it was mounted, we had a large stripe of dead pixels. I did ask for some assistance from the help desk, and my claim was denied simply because the tech denied having dropped the tv (both myself and my 10-year-old daughter were present when it happened and saw it clear as day, he even apologized to me as it happened). Through the claim desk you can request a replacement item which I did not even do (this was a $400 tv and now I have to deal with trying to replace it through the company I purchased from, which they probably won't do so now I'm stuck with a broken TV and out $400 from my pocket). Pretty crappy service. Not recommended. read more

Purchased a home and my homeowners insurance had a deal with HelloTech for a TV install for only $75. Sounded like a great deal and went with it. Tech came to my home. Nice and knowledgable, however, did not do the job because he didn't have a better stud finder tool and didn't want to take the risk to mount the TV unless he was 100% sure they would stay. The reason is because HelloTech would charge the hired tech for damages. The company doesn't take the hit. It's out of the techs pockets. So the tech cancelled the appointment and HelloTech was supposed to call me to schedule the same person the next day so he would remember his tool to drill into the wall and see what's behind it with a camera. I thought great. I wouldn't want the TV falling on my not even a year twins daughters when their one day running around. No call from HelloTech. I followed up and now I am going to get charged $189 because I canceled my first service. What the crap is this? HelloTech is TRASH. This is a dispatch center, so when you call, you speak to a person who takes your information and they send someone out to you. Idk how many technicians they have, but I called them and they sent someone the next day. I didn't have to leave a message and wait for one person to call me back days later.
